Chapter 11 - A SIGHT TO BEHOLD.

Olivia was going to faint, she could feel it within her. However, she tried to hold on. She knew the moment she came back to reality that her inexperienced body couldn't handle such raw power. Powers she had no idea where they came from. Simply put, her body was too weak to produce and control such immense power. She was just about to sit when Owen said.

"We keep moving".

Olivia almost felt like crying. But she knew she could only follow their orders, her freedom depended on it. So she kept moving but she had only taken a few steps when she felt her head spin. Her head throbbed so hard that she raised her hands to rub her temples. Her body swayed as a wave of dizziness hit her. Her vision blurred and a second later, everything went blank.

Before her body could hit the ground, Gabriel who was closest to her wrapped his arms around her and lifted her up horizontally. He held her against his chest. He looked at her and even though he had been mad at her a while before, seeing her delicate features scrunch up in discomfort, his cold gaze softened slightly.

Even though Olivia was smallish and Gabriel was quite large, the image of her in his arms didn't seem right. Olivia groaned as she tried to find a comfortable posture in the arms of the blue- blooded vampire. Olivia shivered, feeling extremely cold in his arms. After all, vampires didn't have the warmth that humans and witches had.

Gabriel, seeing the young witch uncomfortable, called his brother, Owen for help.

"Brother, umm...she doesn't seem comfortable. Can you take her?" That was when Owen snapped back to reality.

He had been dazed by the sight of Gabriel carrying Olivia. It had to be known that Gabriel, in the presence of a witch, goes berserk. He would usually do anything to get to the witch, even hurt his own people. Owen had already been quite surprised when he didn't go crazy when he saw Olivia earlier but actually holding her was a really big deal. Especially when she was asleep and vulnerable.

However, Owen could only push that thought to the back of his mind because, Owen was already putting Olivia into his out- stretched arms. The moment her soft body was laid in his arms, he subconsciously held her gently. At this moment, she seemed so fragile, Owen didn't have the heart to leave her behind even though that was what he wanted to do a minute ago.

But a second later, Olivia's face once again scrunched up in discomfort. She shivered so much in his arms, he was becoming a bit worried. He shifted on his feet as his worry continuously increased.

"Give her to me", a deep gravelly voice sounded coldly in the ears of the vampires. All of the vampires snapped theirs heads to look at the source of the familiar voice. All of them could feel their jaws drop as they stared at their crown prince, Prince Maximilian of Alvania. Everyone suspected that he wanted to do something to her but they didn't want him to. For some reason, this young witch seemed like one of them and they didn't have the urge to attack her like they did for other witches.

Even Max's siblings looked at him as if he had grown two heads. Max knew he seemed weird but he had this sudden urge to hold her close and his body and mouth reacted before his brain could, which was the weirdest thing that had ever happen to him. However, he couldn't take back his words so he stretched out his long arms and waited for Owen to give her to him.

Owen was extremely hesitant, feeling like giving her to him would not be a good idea but that look in his eyes made him doubt his own thoughts. He wasn't confident that she would feel any better in Max's arms but it was worth a shot, wasn't it? Slowly and hesitantly, he placed Olivia in Max's arms. What happened next shocked all the vampires watching.

The moment Olivia's marshmallow like body settled in his arms, his eyes changed. No, it was as if he had no iris at all, it was all white. But the vampires didn't seem to notice because his and Olivia's body glowed a strange bright light which would be blinding if they weren't vampires. Olivia had stiffened completely in his arms. She looked like a frozen corpse. Max lowered his head until his kissable lips were brushing against Olivia's ear.

"It's me, Izzy", he spoke, his voice soft and there was this gentleness in it that none of the vampires could believe came from his mouth. There was a hint of a strange emotion which wasn't common in Alvania so none of those present could identify it. And there was also this continuous breaking in his voice that told tales of unspoken pain.

And the vampires witnessed that almost immediately, Olivia's stiff body relaxed in his arms and she leaned into him more. She wrapped her arms around his waist and the vampires knew it was a subconscious action because they could still hear her steady breathing, indicating she was asleep. That or she was really good at keeping calm. Still, none of them could stop their jaws from dropping. They were so shocked and speechless.

The image of them was a sight to behold. Really, Olivia was already very small in the arms of Gabriel and Owen but Max was even bigger than them. Though he looked lean alone, with an extremely small Olivia in his arms, he looked so big. It was like a grown man carrying his baby—exaggerated.

Yet, their bodies fit perfectly and they seemed to blend with each other. It was really such a prefect image. The only word to describe it;

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Seeing Olivia like this, a smile clawed at the lips of the stone-hearted, blue- blooded vampire. It was strange that when the handsome devil smiled, it was as if the winter ice thawed and the spring came earlier than usual.

DAMN!!

Why did he have to be so handsome?

That would have been Olivia's thoughts if she saw his face at this moment.
