Chapter 16 - AND JUST AS HE THOUGHT, ENDLESS DRAMA...JUST THAT HE GOT INVOLVED.

A vein ticked on Maximilian's jaw, already feeling annoyed as he knew that endlessly drama was about to unfold. Thinking like this, he decided he would not get involved no matter what happened.

Meanwhile, Olivia was furious and her blood was boiling red hot with rage.

The female vampire in front of her was the daughter of lord Damon of clan ritta. The man himself was in another country altogether and it would still take a while to come back to the country. Therefore, his daughter who was currently in the country went ahead of him.

However, for some reason unknown to them, she was clearly having a show down with Olivia which was not really like her at all.

To Olivia however, she was the rudest person she had ever met. Olivia had just been sitting under the tree with her legs stretched, placing one over the other when this 'blind' woman tripped over it.

She only looked at her stunned, not understanding why she would trip over her legs. However, what surprised Olivia even more was the fact that she didn't apologize but directly started questioning her in a rude tone.

"You! You are a witch. What the hell are you doing here?"

Olivia looked at her, already feeling tired with all these scenarios.

The vampire named Mira saw that Olivia wasn't answering and became even more uncouth, directly pulling Olivia to stand just to push her to the ground again.

She even changed to her vampiric form, wanting to attack Olivia but before she could even attempt it, Olivia's eyes changed for emerald green to silver.

Her body glued with rainbow hues and her eyes were glinted with killing intent. The hues surrounded the vampire and she became frightened.

"You...what are you doing...? No wait..."

"Shut it!"

Olivia finally spoke, her voice like a sharp blade, cold and cutting.

All those watching the scene were stunned. How could such a fragile looking girl sound so scary.

But all of a sudden they saw the hues disappear and Mira was freed. Olivia didn't say anything, only looking at her with blazing eyes.

This was the scene the royal family came to meet.

They had missed the real show.

"Do not bother me", said Olivia in a tone that no one could refuse.

Thereafter, she sat back down and closed her eyes silently. Everyone was disappointed but also relieved. They didn't know what would happen if they were to really fight.

However Mira didn't seem to understand that she had been given a way out. Instead, she bared her claws and fangs, her eyes turning blood red in the process.

The vampires felt that she must thrown away all her brain cells. Max especially felt the strong urge to just throw Mira away but he clenched his fists and looked on silently, knowing somehow that Olivia could handle it.

Mira pounced on Olivia but mid-air, she froze. Olivia opened her eyes, the silver in it glowing. She smiled sadistically. Using her magic, she held Mira in the air with her hues.

She took a strand of Mira's blonde hair, saying with a sadistic smile and bloodthirsty look in her eyes, "I do need a toy to play with. You fit this category perfectly."

Mira shuddered hard while the rest trembled hearing her eerie tone and words. And in the silence that followed, someone started laughing as if they had heard the biggest joke of the century.

Everyone turned to look at their crown prince with even more frightened eyes. Seeing Max laugh so hard that he clutched his stomach, Olivia's stoney expression cracked and she burst out laughing as well.

The moment the laughter died down, prince Maximilian appeared beside Olivia. He looked at her, his eyes holding a smile that never flattered even though his face showed zero expressions.

Seeing the smile in Max's eyes, a smile also bloomed on Olivia's face. And a hint of mischief appeared in her silver eyes.

"Don't tell me Your Royal Highness, Crown Prince Maximilian is finally warming up to me."

Immediately after these words, the temperature which was warm and fuzzy dropped into the negatives. The look in Max's eyes washed away and only coldness and anger remained.

Olivia immediately giggled. She had expected it but his reactions were too cute to not react. She raised her hand, pinched his cheek and pulled it showcasing how elastic they were.

She laughed even harder and brighter. The brightness seemed to blind Max but he couldn't look away at all. Looking into her bright and cheerful eyes, his cold gaze softed considerably and the anger in eyes subsided immediately.

The other vampires looked away, not wanting to watch the sugar-coated scene. These two only know how to show affection.

Meanwhile, the vampire queen called Katherine watched this scene, feeling surprised. How did her own son get so close to a witch?

She turned to her husband Victor

"Is that really our Maxi?" She asked worriedly.

"Hmm...I'm surprised too. But he's an adult already. He can tell the difference between right and wrong and can make his own decisions. He stopped being our little boy a long time ago." As Victor spoke, he smiled helplessly and wrapped his arms around Kathy.

Kathy—Katherine sighed and decided not to get involved.

The vampire prophetess–Cynthia was also surprised. The prophecy spoke of Olivia and her light that would come in dark times. It didn't say anything about the strange and complicated relationship between her and Maximilian.

She wondered if it was supposed to be like this or if this would jeopardize everything. Anyway, she would keep watching over the situation. With this thought, she walked over to the pair that didn't seem to realize there were other people around.

"Your Highness, Miss Olivia", she spoke respectfully.

Hearing this voice, Max pulled away from Olivia and slipped his hands into his pockets silently.

Olivia also turned to look at Prophetess Cynthia. Her silver eyes glimmed and a mysterious smile formed on her lips. She didn't say anything, wondering what this girl wanted.

Her frizzly red hair swayed slightly with the wind. Her sea blue eyes held knowledge and calm wisdom. Based on her demeanor, you could easily notice that her mental age was totally different from her physical age.

"Miss Olivia, can we talk. I think we have something to discuss."

"No we don't." She turned her down right away without even batting an eye.

She went closer and whispered in Cynthia's ear so softly, no one else could hear her.

"You should know better than anyone, somethings are better left unsaid and unheard. Just let nature take it's course. What should happen will happen, it's inevitable." She said in a cold voice with an even colder smile.
