Chapter 9 - ROYAL SIBLINGS

"Brother," Gabriel said as he smiled warmly. Maximilian's lips curled into a slight smile as Gabriel walked over to him.

"It's been a while brother", Gabriel's voice was like the breeze of summer, smooth and soft. When it hit you, you felt calm and relaxed.

"You didn't tell us you were coming", Max said. Max's voice however was gravelly, rough yet so magnetizing, alluring. His voice, though not as smooth as Gabriel's melodious one, made Olivia feel safe, secure, maybe even at home.

"I heard things weren't going well here so I came", Gabriel said with a shrug. Owen joined them.

"You see, I knew it. All of you love Max more than you do me", Owen said sounding hurt as he put his hand over his heart to emphasize how hurt he was.

"What? That is not true. You are definitely my favourite brother", said Gabriel with slight uncertainty.

"Oh come on, the moment you came, you came to Max, completely ignoring your 'favourite brother' ". Owen said and shook his head.

"Alright, you caught me." Gabriel surrendered with his hands raised and pouted as he said to his brothers, "can I have a hug?" Max and Owen couldn't help but smile at Gabriel's childishness.

Just when they spread their arms for the hug, a shrill female voice stopped them. Another vampire, a female this time landed gently on the ground. She was the exact replica of Gabriel, just a lot more feminine.

She said, almost screaming, "I want a hug too."

"Come on then", Owen said with a doting smile as he stared into her greyish silver eyes.

She hurried over, looking more childish than Gabriel. The moment she got close enough, Owen and Max wrapped their long arms around them—Gabriel and Gabriella, his twin.

After a while, they let go. Though Max didn't smile, the doting and tenderness that flowed from his eyes as he spoke could not be concealed.

"How have you been? Where's Mom and Dad?" Max asked gently.

"We've been doing well and Mom and Dad went to see the prophetess", Gabriella's soothing, sweet voice answered without much interest.

"Who is this?" Gabriel who had been observing since he arrived finally noticed the silent Olivia.

Just as Max was about to speak, Olivia silenced him.

"Hush! No one make a sound", Olivia said, her small sweet voice filled with authority. Her green eyes turned silver in that moment. Everyone was stunned by her sudden transformation however for some reason unknown to them, they obeyed without protest.

'Listen', Olivia communicated with them trough telepathy. All vampires except Max and Owen were shocked. However Gabriel couldn't keep his mouth shut and almost said, 'a witch!' out loud. Fortunately, Olivia stopped him with her sharp piercing gaze. Immediately, Gabriel pressed his already thin lips onto a straight line.

Through telepathy, Olivia gave the command once more, 'listen'. And this time, the vampires perked up their ears to listen. Their eyes circled wide in shocked horror. That sound.....that was a sound they were already too familiar with. Those swooshing noises that sounded like wind being slashed through.

Before the vampires could panicked, Olivia already closed her eyes and chanted lowly. Almost immediately, the wind swirled, howled and swooshed around them. Olivia's silver hair swayed with the wind as her chants became louder. The agressive wind formed protective wind bubbles around everyone.

Olivia opened hers eyes as the bubbles lifted them into the sky. Her eyes glowed, so bright it was almost blinding as she crossed her wrists to hold the powerful magic. Her face turned red and her veins popped out as her incredible power flowed through her.

All the vampires were dumbfounded by her unbelievable power. Suddenly they heard it, that frightening swoosh of wind and looking down they saw it. 'The Blue Wipe'! The attack that once upon a time even wiped a King of the vampdom off the face of the planet, earth.

The attack that can never be conjured up by vampires. And only for one reason which is, vampires can't conjure up lightening swords. Not even vampire-witches could do that. It was simply impossible for them.

'The Blue Wipe' cut through all trees in it's ways and soon disappeared. Slowly, Olivia lowered them as her eyes stopped glowing and her red face went back to it's natural pale yet rosy and healthy radiant complexion.

When their feet touch the ground, for a moment all was silent, it was possible that if a pin were to drop, they would hear it, especially since most of the them were vampires. Suddenly, gratitude surged in their hearts as they watched Olivia's exhausted expression.

"Who really are you?"Gabriella finally spoke up. A breathtakingly wicked smile formed on Olivia's lips.

"Their worst nightmare!", she said as she stared ahead at one particular spot. Suddenly, she leaned into Gabriella who was right in front of her and unsheathed her sword. Olivia's hand also searched until she found an extremely sharp dagger. It seemed like a special little thing because of the golden handle and the cravings of a bat on the handle. But Olivia needed it right this moment.

"Sorry about this but I need this", Olivia said softly before twisting and spinning the dagger between her long elegant and refined looking fingers. It wasn't a shock when the dagger was sent flying towards a large oak tree.

Then there was a thud, followed by a low growl as the creature that had made itself invisible became visible. And a male witch also jumped out from behind that exact tree.

The male witch stretched out his hands towards the creature and as the creature was enveloped in green hues, it slowly fell into deep sleep. Thereafter, he turned to the vampires who were silently observing him.

"Nice to see again after such a long time", he smiled, a genuinely warm smile directed at Prince Maximilian. A smile that made his warm hazel eyes shimmer and glitter beautifully.

Max however didn't seem to feel same because his body tensed up and his gaze turned cold.

"How dare you face me after what you're done", Max's extremely cold voice came out in an angry puff.

"I don't know what I did wrong though", the man shrugged carelessly as his gaze slowly became listless and his warm smile flipped into a frown.
