Olivia and Owen walked out, both feeling their blood boil with excitement. The walked out and saw Maximilian, leaning against the wall directly opposite to them. His head was bent down in a way that almost looked dejected.
His clothes were the same as before,an all black shirt and black trousers. He started walking, not even sparing them a glace.Olivia could only stand and watch as he walked farther and farther away.
And she had no idea why but she felt like her heart was pricked when he did that. She snapped out of her trance and followed the two vampires. They could have gotten down faster but because of the witch with them, they could only use normal human speed.
Finally, they got to an exit. They walked out calmly and the moment they walked out, the wind howled around them as Olivia's eyes turned completely silver. They walked farther from the door and got surrounded.
They were surrounded by silver haired witches. But they didn't have the silver eyes like Olivia's instead, their eye colour differed according to their element. The witches made a circle around them, there by surrounding them.
Suddenly, a witch shouted, " you are one of us, how can you help the vampires?!"
Olivia turned to the young witch and a wicked smile clawed at her lips. She said calmly, "It's my own decision to join the vampires, so what? Why does it matter if I'm a witch? How am I suddenly one of you as you claim when I just found out not long ago that I'm a witch."
All the words that escaped her lips left the witches inexplicably speechless. It was as if they had suddenly lost their voice. Nevertheless, Olivia wasted no more time talking. The sky was so clear so when lightening suddenly struck right in front of them, they started to doubt their own senses.
The lightening then reformed into a long sword. As if having a mind of its own, it immediately flew into Olivia's hands and most witches gasped in shocked horror. Though the sky element was the most common, most witches could not control lightening. Only a lucky few had that ability and even those have disadvantages. All those who could control lightening lost the power to control anything else that involved the sky element.
It had been especially precarious for those who dared to try. This was because once a witch was controlling lightening, electricity courses through them and the slightest distraction could cause him or her to lose control and one way or the other, the person would be electrocuted. Most have died because of this and others live miserable lives with disabilities.
Therefore, seeing Olivia, a novice in witchcraft control it without mishap made the witches feel strange.
As the witches were still distracted with their thoughts, Olivia swiftly sliced the throat of one. The witch squealed but it was muffled by her own gushing blood. Nonetheless, all the others snapped out of their daze. Seeing their friend fall to the ground lifelessly, all their eyes circled wide in shock and horror.
Even the two vampires were horrified as they stared at the fragile looking witch who was astonishingly blowing on her nails nonchalantly. And yet, two heads fell. This time not because of the daze. She had just walked leisurely to two witches and cut off their heads with one sharp swipe of her sword.
The witches became extremely alert. They charged and Owen came forward to help Olivia out. Maximilian only folded his hands over his chest and enjoyed the vigorous scene in front of him. A hysterical smile formed on his face. And pain danced in his bright silver eyes.
His breathing deepened and he felt like his heart was being pierced through. He took in a deep breath and released it and the piercing pain immediately evaporated. He only watched as Olivia slashed throats with her sword and Owen did same with his claws.
A warrior witch sneaked up on him, ludicrously thinking that she could kill him unnoticed. Just when she was about plung her poisoned dagger in his heart, Max suddenly turned his head to look at her. His listless gaze fell on her and he looked like he was looking at thrash.
He only kicked back and she was sent flying. Her scream attracted everyone's attention and for a moment everything seized. They all stared agape as the witch flew so far that she landed in the forest, the Crystal Forest to be exact. Owen only smiled tentatively as Olivia smirked subtly.
Max's and Olivia's gazes locked and electricity seem to pass through them making their hairs stand upright. Olivia smiled, an utterly broken smile as pain upon pain stirred in her beautiful silver eyes. Max's eyes flashed with something unfathomable.
Seeing Olivia distracted, one witch advanced her cautiously. Just as she was about to strike with her raised sword, Max grabbed her hand and broke it using exaggeratedly great strength. The witch let out an agonizing scream, breaking through Olivia's reverie.
Olivia then successfully sliced through her neck, allowing her head to roll down as dark red thick blood gushed out from the wound.
In the end, a few more heads were cut and the two vampires and witch were the only ones left standing.
Olivia's silver fair was now red, stained with blood. She run her slender fingers through her silky locks. Max and Owen did same as they sighed tiredly.
Olivia bent with her hands on her knees. She closed her eyes and when they opened again, her natural emerald green irises returned. She didn't even have time to look at the mascara they caused when....
Suddenly, vampires landed gently on the ground. The one in front had features similar to Max and Owen. However the vague madness that danced in his eyes scared the shit out of Olivia. Max's gaze soften when he saw this particular vampire. The same went for Owen.
"Gabriel" Max's soft voice called the vampire in front and the madness in his– Gabriel's– eyes melted away as if it was never there.
Gabriel smiled warmly, "brother".
