"Get back here, You disgusting freak!"
"YOU'LL HAVE TO CATCH UP TO ME FIRST, FATSO!!" Tsukiyomi said, the angry salesman demon chasing after him. Tsukiyomi was constantly on the run, trying his best to stay alive. But they're always on his tail. He had to steal to survive. And it didn't matter if it's demon or yokai after him. Even humans.
He makes a sharp turn and runs down an alley, the demon chasing him runs into a trolley cart. Tsukiyomi snickers and keeps running. But he stops, as there is trouble much worse up ahead. Shit, Yokai hunters, he thinks. Yokai and demon hunters trap and kill demons and yokai. They want to rid them from the world. And Tsukiyomi was somehow on their wanted list. He had a secret. He was a half yokai. "That's another demon down today.." The woman hunter said. "Yes, I'll mark it down." Her assistant replied. They had caught a demon. A child. "Please let me go!!" The child said with a slight lisp. "Wait, miss, this one is just a child."
"A demon is a demon. Bring it here." The woman argued. "Yes ma'am."
Tsukiyomi had to do something. "Hey!" The two of them turn around. "One of our 'Most Wanted' has finally shown his face. That would make it another catch of the day. What was it, Minakami Tsukiyomi? A half-yokai." She said, Tsukiyomi put his hands up. "Look, I don't want any trouble. Just let the kid go and you can take me instead." The woman smiled. But Tsukiyomi had a plan. "MIss, I am not certain you should trust h-" The woman interrupted her assistant. "Let the other one go. Give me the gun." She demanded. The assistant let the kid out of the net. She then took the gun and pointed it at Tsukiyomi and shot it. The gun shot a net. The kid ran towards Tsukiyomi. Tsukiyomi quickly grabbed the kid and ran, dodging the net. He could hear the two chasing after him. He noticed that the hunters have created devices allowing them to swing from high places from ropes that retract from harnesses but also allow them to glide in the air with mechanical wings. Tsukiyomi hopped on and off things, jumped over people and under things, still holding the kid. He finally lost the hunters and ended up in another alleyway. Tsukiyomi put the kid down. The kid bowed as Tsukiyomi took a seat against the wall. "T-Thanks..but why would you help me? You're a human…" The boy said, not knowing the truth.
"Never mind that, kid. What's your name?" Tsukiyomi asked. The boy smiled and sat down in front of Tsukiyomi. "Griffon Shikashi!"
"Nice to meet you, Shikashi. I'm Tsukiyomi. Minakami Tsukiyomi." He said. Shikashi turned his head. "I have a question."
"And what's that?" TSukiyomi responded, looking around to make sure no one else was there. "Why do you look like a girl?" Shikashi asked. Tsukiyomi smiled, hiding the annoyance he had for that question. Tsukiyomi often got mistaken for a female since his body type was more feminine and his hair was long. He had thought about putting it up instead of trying to hide it under a hood. "What's it to you, kid? People can have long hair. Look at yourself!" He responded. Shikashi crossed his arms. "Yeah, well mine's put up!"
"Where do you live, Kid?" Tsukiyomi asked,
"I don't live anywhere. But I do have a friend who takes care of me." Shiakashi said.
"Yeah, and who's that?"
"Teacup." He answered. "Tea…Cup?" Tsukiyomi was confused. "Yeah, she's a yokai. She's blind so she can't see me but she can hear really really quiet stuff. I call her teacup cause she loves tea and is usually always drinking it!"
"And where does she live?" Tsukiyomi asked again. "It's fine, it's not far from here and I'll be extra careful. Thank you, Tsukiyomi-San. I'm sure we'll meet again!" Tsukiyomi sighed and waved as Shikashi left. Tsukiyomi let his head fall against the wall. This world was difficult. But as long as no one else found out about his secret then it would be okay. He often questioned his life
