Chereads / Bloodmoon Rose: Tsukiyomi No Chi / Chapter 4 - Kracked Skull Market

Chapter 4 - Kracked Skull Market

Tsukiyomi somehow managed to pickpocket some people on the way to Morphian so he had enough to at least get something to fill his stomach. Maybe a weapon of some sort as well. He wore a cloak with a hood to hide his face in case the hunters came back. He then made his way through the crowd.

Kracked skull market was the largest market in all of wall Moonrose. It was mostly full of demons. Humans rarely came to the market and yokai were slowly rising in population.

Tsukiyomi found a stall at the market selling fish. It was a regular everyday item many people would sell and eat. Afterwards, he made his way to the market's docks leading to the Kracked Skull lake. The suns were slowly beginning to set. It was strange. There had always been two suns and three moons.

Suddenly a voice disturbed Tsukiyomi,"I've never seen you before. Are you new to Skull?" the voice said,

A blue tail whips around in front of Tsukiyomi's face. Great, he thought, a kitsune yokai.

Kitsune or fox yokai were said to be the most mischievous. They had silent and sneaky feet and amazing stealth.

Tsukiyomi ignored the yokai as he came into Tsuki's view. "It's rude to not answer. Are you a deaf demon?" The fox questions. Tsukiyomi sighs and smiles, "I don't talk to strangers. I didn't know yokai like you would come here often. Are you new to Skull?" He teased, the fox growled. The fox then jumped over Tsukiyomi quickly and lifted his hood. The fox smiled. "Oh! A lady! Hmhmh! My apologies." He said. Tsukiyomi tried to run but the fox quickly grabbed his hand and kissed it. "You're very beautiful! Are you a demon?"

Tsukiyomi was completely disgusted but he was used to this kind of thing, sadly. Tsukiyomi looked at the fox and said, "If you're trying to flirt with me, it won't work. Piss off!" But the fox being sly and quick grabs Tsukiyomi's left hand before he could leave, puts his other hand around Tsukiyomi's waist and holds him tightly. The fox had a closer look at Tsukuyomi's appearance now. "You're not a woman. And neither are you a demon. But it doesn't matter! You still look like one." said the fox with a smile.

"Well I bet you have good looks too. I just didn't care to look!" Tsukiyomi said, then stepped on the foxes tail and ran off.

Tsukiyomi had enough and needed to change his appearance. Having his long, black hair down made him look more feminine. He needed a ribbon. Maybe a weapon too. He started at the market. Then a stall selling jewelry caught his eye. A white ribbon with fake gems on the end. He never liked white plus he could tell that the gems were fake. But he went up to the stall anyway. "I'll take the white one."

"I don't sell to humans." The demon said, clearly unaware of what Tsukiyomi actually was. "But I have enough to buy-"

"I don't care what you have! I don't sell to humans! Now get lost, kid!" The demon yelled. So Tsukiyomi left the market and entered a nearby weaponry shop instead. There had to be something cheap. The place was completely empty besides the old shopkeeper and a human. But to Tsuki, this human looked different. He had never seen this human in wall Whither before. A traveler maybe? The human was tall and quite buff. He had short black and white hair, almost like the coat of a wolf. And his eyes were golden. He had a long sword set on the counter of the shop. The two exchanged a quick glance before Tsukiyomi walked down an aisle of shelves. He found a small dagger that didn't cost too much. He noticed the human was gone once he went back up to the counter and paid for the weapon. After the dagger was paid for, he left. It was getting dark so he climbed on the roofs of a couple shops to watch the suns go down. Only for the night sky and three moons to come up. It was the same everyday. Run, survive, steal, eat, sleep, repeat. It was tiring. He stayed there for a while before leaving to go to one of his favorite saloons to get a drink. There was no age limit anyway, no rules either. He was fifteen even though he thought nothing of it.
