Gilda, a 22 years old woman with dark brown hair and green eyes, lives in a small building near the faculty of information technology in São Paulo city. Close to majoring in Information Technology, she's currently going to her graduation.
The only family she has and considers is her aunt, who cares for her without deep feelings. After turning 18, she started living alone. Her aunt's care was reluctant, but at the same time, she considered her a kind person for letting her live in her house so soon after her father's disappearance and her mother's madness.
A lone wolf perhaps can describe her, she doesn't have close friends, only coworkers, but it doesn't bother her because she is distracted by other activities such as studying or surfing the internet.
She was walking down the street towards her graduation ceremony, which she hoped would be quick. She had invited her aunt, who said she would come. All was ready, however, something happened. In the blink of an eye, near the party, she is faced with a quick flash of blinding light, and in the second after opening her eyes, she finds a forest with fauna and flora different from the one she knows.
Gilda looks around defensively. Are these hallucinations of madness? She he thought. When she looked around, she realized she wasn't the only one in that strange place. There were some people with unique characteristics, and even at a glance, it could be seem, they were in an area that appeared to have some kind of glowing orb-shaped magic barrier, like the stories she read to pass the time.
They were all silent and stunned until a woman started screaming.
"AHH WHAT A PLACE IS THIS!!! HEY, WHO ARE YOU? KIDNAPPED ME? WHAT A PLACE THIS IS, I DEMAND EXPLANATIONS!"
Gilda fixed her gaze on the strange and, in her opinion, woman who was screaming was idiotic. Could it be a dream? She wondered, maybe this is the madness, why does it seem too real? Feeling the pain of a pinch, he realized he wasn't dreaming. Since she wasn't sleepwalking, she knew it was real, or maybe she went crazy. Gilda began to pay attention to the surrounding people, they began to form groups. One of them was the screaming woman's group, the one who had been screaming a short time ago could be classified as beautiful in comparison to other people, perhaps that was why there were people hovering around her like flies.
If it were real, Gilda would find their lack of concern idiotic, still not believing that what was happening was real. It's been 30 minutes since she appeared at that location, and she didn't move much. Some people asked if she wanted to join their group, but she soon refused, thinking it was a new world because she wanted to explore it alone. She spent a half hour thinking of strategies based on the knowledge she gained from reading fantasy novels.
In that half hour, some strange animals were seen from afar beyond the barrier, like a pink-haired chicken-like wings, it was cute, there was a lion that looked like a purple flower, it did not seem friendly, but it was beautiful, and a kind of fat squirrel with little pointy horns. The plants also had peculiarities, such as the leaves being red and looking poisonous, but they weren't observed as much as the animals.
Inside the barrier were some unique plants that she could see in more detail. Some examples are: one brown tulip-like flower that exhaled a disgusting perfume, it seemed that it was just the exaggerated smell that was bad. There was also a tree with blue and pink fruit, but no one dared to eat it because the last person who ate a strange fruit from an unknown bush appeared to have fainted after ingestion.
Even though the pinch hurt, she believes it was all a dream at best. However, one thing changed her thinking, and that was when the lake in the middle of the dome began to bubble and a kind of man made of water appeared. He was bald and wore a dress-like outfit. She was thinking that her imagination was very strange at the time, until that man began to speak, but how is that possible? Gilda couldn't explain.
"Hello, summoned by the mage, I am Potvier, consider me your receptionist. I will answer some questions that you may have. The mage met someone from your world once, so he knows some questions you might be asking yourself, first, this place you are is Walooden, a type of Earth, your home planet, only bigger, second, everything is real don't do stupid things thinking there will be no consequences, third, everyone has special abilities as it's said in your world, here they will be activated, to activate them you need mana, or magic force, as earthlings call it, and also, you need an awakening stone to have really useful powers. And finally, if you survive, you will be randomly teleported in 10 minutes, and you will get some items to help you on your adventure, one of them is the awakening stone that I mentioned. If you want to be together, just hold the hands of whomever you want to be together. And finally, I was programmed to introduce you, I can't answer or hear you, so now I will begin the countdown for the teleport."
Everyone was desperate, and the groups were all holding hands. As Gilda didn't interacted much with people, and she didn't have the courage to call someone, even in a situation where life might be at stake, she didn't want to interact, until, in the end, in the last ten seconds before the teleport, she looks back and sees a child, a girl looking about 12 years old, Her hair was light brown, and she had black eyes. She looked startled when Gilda looked closer and saw that she was coming towards her!
Gilda was amazed, then she realized that the child quickly grabbed her hand, and in the blink of an eye, the teleport was activated, and everyone was teleported. Looking around, she realizes that she is now in a kind of plain with some strange trees, and she feels a backpack on her back, but her focus is quickly fixed on the child who is shaking her hand and has red eyes that are about to cry.
The child was terrified, and it was immediately noticeable. Gilda started thinking about what to say to the little girl in front of her, and soon the words she was projecting came out of her mouth.
"Hi, let's try to calm down, little girl. Why did you take Auntie's hand here? By the way, my name is Gilda." Even if Gilda wanted to calm the child, she didn't know how to do it, so she decided to change the subject and meet that tenant on her adventure. Like it or not, she would not abandon a child in the middle of nowhere.
After a few seconds, the child replied.
"I-I'm called Louise" after a little more, holding the crying continued "I held your hand because I didn't know anyone, and you were the one who seemed the most trustworthy, I didn't want to be alone, and after hearing what that bald gentleman from the water said I was terrified and acted impulsively". Gilda was amazed by the innocence and the words, used in a situation like this, mainly because she is a child.
Gilda decided to try to continue calming the child by telling her, "Louise, aunt will protect you, so don't stay too far away. For now, let's see what's in our backpacks and try to adapt to the place, right?" The girl looked at the young woman and nodded with a little fear for what was to come in the future.
Gilda had noticed that the girl also had a backpack and commented, "It must be the items that the receptionist said." Then she started to open the backpack and found a black sphere with golden details. When she took it, it joined her body. In an act of desperation, she tried to throw away the sphere that was dissolving in her hand. When she looks to the side, Louise seems to be terrified and afraid to open her backpack.
The sphere disappeared and was absorbed by Gilda's body. She was paralyzed by what she saw in front of her, it was what she used to read in the novels in front of her. It was the status screen:

Gilda wanted to see the effect of her abilities, but prioritized the child, turned to the horrified girl after seeing the sphere merge with the woman's skin, Gilda said "I kinda made a scene, but the sphere is not evil, believe in aunt, after the sphere was absorbed and revealed the aunt's special abilities" Louise faced the woman and trusted her, then touched her sphere that was also in her backpack, in the same place, along with other strange items, unlike Gilda's sphere, the girl's sphere was bluish with black, Louise was terrified even knowing that the sphere was going to be absorbed, holding herself back from having a panic attack with the feeling of water being drawn into her body as if her blood mixed with something.
Seeing the terrified girl, Gilda decides to run her hand over her head and say that she will soon see a screen with her information. Louise calms down a little, and soon the screen that the woman had commented on appears:
