"Kissa, where have you been?" A man in his late thirties or mid thirties barged into the room with his expression showing clearly that he was angry.
Kissa quickly swam closer so he wouldn't say she wasn't the one there.
He walked towards the tub looking at her suspiciously. His hazel eyes searched her face for something but she didn't say a thing. She sat in the water which stopped above her breasts before she looked up at him.
"I am sorry Pharaoh, I stepped out of the building to one of the pools in the palace compound to get some fresh air." She bowed her head in apology.
The man waved his hands and the guards behind him stepped out of the room. "Tell me the truth Kissa." He sat on one of the stairs leading into the tub, with the water reaching his ankle, still looking at her in suspicion. "Were you trying to escape again?"
"I am serious, Pharaoh, I did not. I was at the pool in the compound getting some fresh air." She replied nervously as she played with her fingers under the water.
"I will be appointing some maids to keep an eye on you. You can't keep on wandering around without no one knowing where you are going to." He stood up, dusting his clothes.
He was dressed in elegant clothes which were only made for Pharaohs in the kingdom. The linen was wrapped around the lower half of his body, stopping above his knees. The cloth was clearly made of high-quality linen which was almost able to see through.
Another linen was over his shoulders, totally revealing his whole chest revealing the golden Usek* that he was wearing.
(a broad necklace collar worn in Egypt)*
"Yes Pharaoh." She replied and he walked elegantly towards the exit.
"Have dinner with me tonight." He said before walking out of the room and she released the breath she didn't realize she was holding this while.
"Thank goodness." She sighed as she relaxed her tensed muscles in the warm water.
Running her hands through her hair and washing it gently, her thoughts wandered back to the man she met in the market.
"I didn't later get his name." A frown settled on her lips. "Maybe I should give him a piece of my jewelry to thank him." She stood up and stepped out of the water before she sat on the edge of the tub and picked a cloth she used everytime to clean up.
Wrapping the cloth around herself, she stood in front of the mirror in the room. The mirror was made of polished bronze shaped into flat round discs and she could clearly see her reflection well.
A young lady still in her teenage years was staring back at her reflection in the mirror. Her black hair was wet and dripping, falling on her beautiful and radiant skin.
Her pair of blue eyes were shining with her eyelids lined with the eye of Horus and eye of Ra. Despite looking like an artificial one, she was born with it.
"Kissa…" She called herself.
Noises in her room made her turn her head towards the direction of her room and she walked into the room with a raised brow. The head of maids was standing there with two other maids.
The three of them looked at her with fear as they looked down at her glass of vase which they had mistakenly broken on their way in. The blue lotuses in the vase were laying on the floor.
"We're so sorry Lady Kissa." The three of them fell on their knees with heads bowed.
Kissa didn't say a word, she just went over to the broken vase and picked up the lotuses. She walked to the large pool of water in her room which had different flowers floating on it but most were lotuses.
"What are you doing in my chamber?" She asked, looking back at them with a raised brow.
"The Pharaoh asked me to bring the most reliable maids I have for you, my lady. We're sorry to come…"
"They aren't reliable or competent. Please kindly leave my room now." Kissa sighed as she sat at the edge of the pool, dipping her legs into the water.
The maids walked out of the room and Kissa stood up to change into new clothes and after she did that, she heard a knock on her door. "Come in."
She stood up to the inner part of her room looking outside through the balcony attached to her room.
"Lady Kissa." A feminine voice called making Kissa look at the person. She was still standing near the door and Kissa nodded before she walked towards where she stood.
"Pharaoh sent words that you must accept the maids no matter what they did. It was just an ordinary flower." The lady said to Kissa who raised her brows with her arms folded under her breasts.
"Ordinary flowers." She repeated before nodding. "They can be my maids then."
The lady knew well that she was annoyed but didn't just show it because she couldn't defy the Pharaoh's orders.
"Yes Lady Kissa." The lady bowed before walking towards the door.
"And tell them Lapis, they aren't allowed around my room. Only at that door." Kissa said to her before turning her back to look at the beautiful scenery before her eyes.
"Yes Lady Kissa. Do you need any scroll to read?" Lapis asked her.
"Yes. About Egypt." Kissa replied and Lapis nodded before walking out of the room.
"I wish to see the inside of those pyramids." She sighed still looking at them dreamily and she didn't know when the eye of Horus and eye of Ra around her eyes shining.
She gasped as scenes of the pyramid crumbling appeared before her. It looked like war was going on there.
Seeing the pyramids crumble wasn't a good thing at all. To have the pyramids crumble, then the enemies must have wiped the whole village clean.
