EDWARDO
"Sir the car is ready," one of my boys said walking into my room after knocking.
"That is good. Call Tristan for me and tell him to hurry up," I said.
"Okay boss. Should he come directly to your room or where?" He asked.
"Good question. Tell him to wait for me by the car. I will join him there soon," I said walking into my closet to wear another cloth befitting for the occasion.
I'm going to stick to my friend's advice. Tristan is a very good asset to me, a very valuable one and I must not lose him.
I have to make him forget about his parents totally and bring his mind and whole concentration back to me.
I pulled off my shirt revealing the big tattoo of a scorpion on my chest. This is one of the symbols that makes me in charge. A symbol that proves that I am the leader, the leader of the well known mafia group. Scorpion.
I hurriedly dressed up to join Tristan who was standing next to the car impatiently with some of my guards trailing behind me as I walked.
"You called for me," Tristan said looking upset and I knew it had to do with our discussion about his parents but that wouldn't stop me from doing what I want to do.
"Yes I did call for you. Get into the car, we need to go somewhere." I said and he reluctantly got in.
"Should we tag along boss?" One of my guards who was close to where I was standing asked.
"No. You guys should remain here. We will be back very soon," I said.
They stepped aside reluctantly and walked back to their post after bowing. I got into the car ignoring the sour look on their faces. They are the least of my problems as they are almost as good as useless. They are just here for decoration, Tristan is my major deal, the one who knows how to get the job done. I thought as I drove off with him…
"Where are we going?" Tristan asked after a few minutes of silence.
"You will know soon enough," I simply replied and he nodded.
"I want you to know something, Tristan." I said, gaining his attention once more.
"What is that?" He asked.
"You see where I'm about to take you is oblivious to everyone in the camp, that means they know nothing about this place. The place is like my top secret and I want to keep this secret in your hands cause I believe it will be safe with you,"I said calmly.
"Why would you want to do that and what makes you think that I wouldn't tell anyone about it?" He said, making me chuckle.
"That is because I trust you just like a father would trust his son. I see you as a son, Tristan and I treat you as one but you don't see me as a father. You see me as someone evil and probably selfish but you see that's very far from the truth. I don't do this because I am obsessed about fame or power but for survival just like the rest of you," I said and he only offered me a few glances and I continued speaking.
"Since when you were little I have taken care of you like a loving father would. I clothed you, fed you and put a roof under your head and I expected by now you would see how much I love you but instead you are looking for your biological parents. It is very disheartening that the boy I trained like mine doesn't want to stay by my side anymore. I give you literally everything cause I found a son in you,why can't you find a father in me?" I asked, sounding emotional but he said nothing.
"Or is there anything you need that you think I can't provide? Name it and see whether I can do it or not. I will do anything for you, just name it all I ask in return is for you to be my son," I said seriously but he said nothing still.
"Tristan!" I called out loudly because he was silent and was only staring at me like I am doing some magic show or acting in a movie.
"Yes boss." He replied and I sighed softly.
"I will give you some time to think about what I said. Let me know when you are done. Just know that I'm ready to do anything for you, dear boy." I said assuringly.
"I will think about it," he said, then faced the window, staring outside...
"We are here," I said, parking the car in the parking space created for me as some guards ran to me with guns in their hands
.
This place is more rough, bloody and deadly than my other hideout. Over there they see lesser blood but here blood is shed daily. My dirty jobs like assassination, kidnapping, drug trafficking and many more dangerous things are done here. My boys here are more mature than the ones in the other hideout. They all kill.
"Welcome boss." They all greeted me with a bow.
"You may rise," I said proudly and they stood there in obedience.
"Who is he boss?" One of them asked, staring at Tristan.
"This is my son, Tristan. You all can go back to your post. I want to show him around, "I said, and they took a bow before walking away.
"What is this place?" Tristan asked, staring at everywhere in a strange and suspicious manner.
"You should calm down Tristan. I'm not here to hurt you. If truly I wanted to hurt you I would have done that a long time ago," I said with a smile and he eased up his tense body a bit.
"This place is my workshop and the people in it are my tools. Apart from stealing that you guys do in the other hideout there are a series of things you don't know about me." I paused, giving him time to process what I just said.
"Then who are you?"
"I'm the gang leader of the well known mafia group SCORPION. A name with respect, that explains the reason why you all have the tattoos of a scorpion on your bodies. It shows that you all belong to me, the scorpion lord."
UNKNOWN
(In the palace, the king and queen are seated on their throne looking strong but not happy..)
"Good day your majestie." A man dressed in royal robe greeted.
"You may rise Lord Williams," The king said calmly while the Queen looked at the man in worry.
"Thank you, your majesty and I'm sorry for the impromptu visit," the man who has been identified as Lord Williams said.
"It's nothing Lord Williams. So what is the visit for?" The king asked.
"I wanted to know how far the search for the prince has gone, has he been found? Is there any hope?" Lord Williams asked.
"It's still the same result. There haven't been positive news yet," the king said in a devastating tone.
Lord Williams sighed grievinly evidently sympathizing with the king and the queen.
"I hope there is a positive news soon enough my daughter is growing older and I can't keep pursuing other suitors who are coming for her hand in marriage because I don't even know all of them and she desperately wants to meet her betrothed and I am running out of excuses to give her as to why she cannot. I really don't know how long I can keep up with this, your majesty." Lord Williams said worriedly making the queen sigh heavily.
"Please just keep on giving her excuses a bit more longer I am very sure my son will be found soon." The queen said hopefully as well as desperately.
"You can also help us in the search. Finding him is for the benefit of both of us," the king added and Lord Williams smiled.
"Alright,I will try my best, your majesty." Lord Williams said standing up to take his leave.
