"What kind of creature is that?"
I saw that the flow of magic energy from the fish--like creature but not a fish was very messy. Uncontrollable.
"It's like a zombie!?" I said spontaneously.
Well, the creature had a shark--like form. Like I said before, it was a zombie shark. Its body was filled with rotting flesh, the black blood that oozed out of the creature polluting the clear river water.
"What do you want, Amara?" I stopped my sister who was about to return to the river. "This is no time to be a hero!"
Amara has a very heroic spirit. She wanted to help others who were in need.
"But, that person! He's having trouble moving his boat, if we don't help him he'll ...."
"You will die too! You have no water affinity in your magic, you'll only harm yourself!" I said seriously.
Amara looked shocked, it was her first time seeing me behave like this. Well, this is the kind of big brother she dreamed of.
"But, he will ...."
I don't want to see my sister lose against a zombie shark. That's troublesome, I have no intention of saving her. She could get suspicious if I'm just pretending to be weak.
"I'll save him! My magic affinity is water. So, I might be able to bring that person to land." I calmed Amara down. But, she panicked even more.
"D-don't--"
"Trust your brother!"
Wow, I didn't expect to be this cool in front of Amara.
Ah, aniway. That unlucky guy has reached his limit. I had to quickly bring that person to the riverbank. The boat he was traveling in was destroyed by the waves. He is now clinging to the wood from the broken boat.
'No one had the initiative to save that person? I consider this normal. Why endanger yourself? Amara... she really resembles my past life self."
I started jumping into the river and tried to get close to the unlucky man. He really couldn't think of saving his life from this situation.
The monster was making waves that were always pushing me to the edge of the river.
To add to the dramatic effect, I could slowly swim to get close to the poor guy. Amara probably thought I was using the weak water elemental magic I had once shown her.
"Rie!"
I heard Amara shouting far away. Well, what's next?
I'm now playing the role of a hero. There are two choices, success or failure.
My choice is probably failure. This is to strengthen the role as a side character.
But wait! Are there any extras who act so conspicuously?
Huh, forget it.
Finally, the knights arrived. This perfect drama came to an end.
*Splash!
The zombie shark flicks its huge tail fin. A huge wave crashes into the dock. Yep, this is a good scenario. There's no way I can survive a 10-meter high wave.
Rescue mission failed!

.
.
.
"Rie! Rie!"
This is enough. I don't want to make Amara cry for too long.
I opened my eyes and a few moments later was spewing quite a lot of water.
"I-I survived?"
Amara greeted me wordlessly, she looked at me intently, there were black bags under her beautiful eyes. She had been crying for too long.
Yes, I know it was my fault.
"Rie!" she called in a soft voice.
*Bam!
Not as expected, but still within my prediction range. Amara couldn't possibly hug me openly in front of many people.
There were many people surrounding us.
"You idiot! What are you trying to do? You told me not to put myself in danger. But, you ...."
*Hug!
"I'm glad you're safe, my brother!"
"Sorry, Amara."
Amara hugged for a long time, a little too long.
"Umm, my sister. I think that's enough. I'm having trouble breathing!" Amara hugged me quite tightly.
Shit, she strengthened her hug.
"This is your punishment, brother! You're annoying!" She whispered in a terrifying voice.
Amara finally let me go after a few minutes.
"You almost killed me!" I looked around.
We were still near the river. However, the situation was a little chaotic. The riverside area was destroyed. The docks and boats belonging to the fishermen were destroyed.
"That person is safe. You don't have to worry, but he's not awake yet!" Amara guessed what I was thinking, but it was wrong.
There were several casualties on the knight's side. Those zombie sharks were really hard to defeat. They couldn't be killed, the monster managed to escape.
"It can regenerate the entire wound. What kind of creature is that? I'll kill it!" Amara said in annoyance.
Yes, I might be able to hunt it down too. This could be one of the big events that shows the existence of the antagonist in this act or story.
"Amara?" Someone approached us. Not a person, but two girls.
Ah, the two of them probably accidentally watched the big commotion going on. They were Princess Viona and Princess Liettha.
"What is it, Your Highness?" Amara tried to be polite, despite her dislike for them.
"You guys are fine, right? I was surprised to hear that academy students were victimized in this incident!" Princess Viona showed a worried expression. "It turned out to be you guys."
Meanwhile, Princess Liettha looked at the river and its surroundings. I slightly glanced at this one Princess.
"We're fine. Even though Rie drowned!" Amara said quietly in her last sentence.
"Really? Aren't you hurt, Rie?" Princess Viona focused on me.
"Umm, i-I'm fine." I looked away.
What a named character who has a cheerful attitude!
Next, we returned to the dormitory with the two Princesses. We were invited to ride in their luxurious vehicle.
'Amenities of the rich!'
We were served by the Maids while in the carriage.
"Rie, if you have any complaints, come to my room." Princess Viona offered additional assistance.
"Ugh ...." Amara's unexpected response.
"What's wrong, Amara?" asked Princess Viona, tilting her head at my sister.
"Well, I don't think it's necessary. That's too much!"
My sister, you have a strange expression.
I wanted to say that. Yeah, but forget it. I'm more focused on Princess Liettha. She has really caught my attention.
Come to think of it, I've never heard her speak even though she's been sitting next to me for over a month.
Wow, she's the Kuudere type! Whereas Princess Viona is the annoying Dere-dere type!
Well, whatever. Let's see who gets the stage in this arc!
I'm looking forward to it!
