Chapter 17 - Cooperation

In this era, cameras or tools to capture images have not yet been invented. So, Amara's goal of obtaining evidence will be a little difficult.

We only got a leaflet about someone who would pay a lot of money for a baby. I think that's still not enough. No one will believe it.

They will pretend not to believe.

Even if we brought a witness like Rossi. He's too young. We'd be accused of bribing him.

The point is, our efforts to go to the Black Market were in vain.

"Is this paper enough?"

"Yeah, I guess it doesn't matter. This is already strong evidence!"

After the Black Market, we returned to the dormitory. Well, it was locked, so we had to sneak in. On the second try, we succeeded without getting caught by the security guards or the Student Council.

"Good night, Rie. I'll make a report soon."

I didn't want to break her spirit. So, I gave her a chance to try. Even if the result was a failure.

When I was having lunch with Vai, she came to me in a rage, her face frightening. Vai ran away in fear.

"Ah, let me guess, little sister. Was your report rejected?"

Amara wordlessly took my hand and led me somewhere. She led me to the rooftop.

"What the hell are they doing? They said the evidence I brought wasn't enough." Amara said angrily.

I became a good listener to every sentence Amara said.

"They're useless? The knights or the nobles! Do we have to do it ourselves?" Amara snorted in annoyance.

She then glanced at me.

"Our status is still a student. The actions we can take are limited. And more importantly, your future could be damaged if we fail. It's better not to take the risk."

"But, Rie. Those barbaric criminals must not be tolerated! They're so cruel that they make people sell babies, even if they're their own!" Amara said sadly.

"I understand how you feel. But, your life and mine are more important. We don't know who we'll be fighting either!"

I purposely prolonged this conversation. I agreed with Amara. But, I was waiting for the person who was eavesdropping on our conversation to show herself.

The magic energy was blue, it felt familiar. Oh, yes... I just realized. It was no longer almost similar, but indeed similar. So, I almost killed her at that time. She was the one who said, "I finally found you, Crime Slayer." I wasn't paying much attention, but I did catch a glimpse of her violet hair. Huh, Princess Liettha.

That girl's luck is very high. I was already aiming for her heart.

"I will help you." The girl immediately declared her goal. Well, her voice still sounded flat and expressionless.

Amara was surprised to see Princess Liettha emerging from the door.

"What do you mean?" My sister showed her dislike for Princess Liettha. Even though she had always pretended to be a model student.

"Ara, is this the real Amara Kamamara? It's so different from what I've heard from people!" Princess Liettha said in a mocking tone.

"You're the same, Princess. Are you the mute Princess Liettha? You talk too much!" Amara retorted.

That's right. This is the first time I've heard Princess Liettha speak this much, coupled with some intonation.

"It seems we are indeed the same."

"I don't want to be compared to you!"

"You don't like me, huh! Ah, no. You do hate the royal family and the nobles!"

"You deserve to be hated!" Amara snorted in annoyance.

My sister then pulled my hand and left the rooftop. However, Princess Liettha stopped her. She was already in front of us with her acceleration magic. Amara was shocked.

"Acceleration magic? You're good too, Princess! But, this means you're raising the flag of war."

Amara pushed me away and picked up the sword at her left waist.

Ah, this is going to be an exciting duel.

*Slash!

My sister swung her sword horizontally. She wanted to kill her, but Princess Liettha managed to dodge and move behind Amara.

"Don't rush, Amara Kamamara!" Princess Liettha smiled haughtily, positioning her sword right at my sister's nape.

"I recognize you, Princess. You are strong, but in this duel, I will win. Shining blade!"

A bright light that hurt the eyes emerged from the blades of Princess Liettha's and Amara's swords. now the situation has been reversed, it was Amara who took turns pointing her sword at Princess Liettha.

Amara's magic affinity was light. She was quite adept at using it, including that trick.

"What is this? You fell for that little trick?" Amara smirked.

"Hey, you want me to be serious?"

"Don't get cocky, Princess!"

*Shoot!

A fireball appeared suddenly and attacked Amara. My sister reflexively thrust her sword into Princess Liettha's neck, but was immediately blocked by the armor that appeared suddenly, it enveloped her body.

"What the hell is this?" Amara widened her eyes as she saw a purple-colored book floating near Princess Liettha. "You have a special Grimoire. Beyond my expectations!"

"Don't you have it, Amara?"

*Slash!

"Don't just call me names!" Amara slashed at the armor Princess Liettha was wearing.

The violet-haired girl recoiled as her armor cracked from Amara's slash.

"You're so arrogant! I think the magic in the Grimoire is only 1st and 2nd tier. If I had it, I would have thrown it away!" Amara taunted.

"You're lucky that I didn't use any magic energy in that slash. You would have been split in two if I had!"

Well, the two girls provoked each other and I was forgotten. Huh, maybe it's time for action.

I stood in the middle between the two of them as they both wanted to attack.

"You better stop! This is a waste of time!"

"Don't get in the way, Rie. That arrogant girl needs to get her ass kicked!"

"Calm down, my sister."

"I can't be calm when she's the one who starts trouble with us!" Amara shouted.

"Huh, you should stop. Your brother is right!" Princess Liettha put her sword back.

"You have no right to decide--"

"Amara!" I looked into my sister's eyes.

" You're more on the side of that damn Princess!"

"I'll always be on your side. But, for now... listen to what Princess Liettha wants first!"

"Your brother is smarter than you, Amara!" Princess Liettha said in a mocking tone.

"Don't take my name for granted!"

Huh, is this an extra character? No, my role is more like a supporting character. Well, but I had to. If the two girls killed each other, it would be very troublesome.

"So, do you want to cooperate with us?" I said matter-of-factly.

Princess Liettha just nodded.

"What's your reason?"

"I'm asking too. What are your reasons for doing it? We should have the same reason."

I hate talking to characters like Princess Liettha.

"Alright. No need for pleasantries. Let's work together to destroy the baby collector group!"
