Damien wished he could turn time back and stop his doom but he was no demon and even as a human he has been nothing but weak eye candy.
Abaddon Bell as Sierra introduced him was the young master of the Bell family. In the demon world, the demons were classified by their strengths. Those who were stronger than the others were given the power to rule over the others—- The Vivi family was ranked first because they were a noble family, every offspring born in the Vivi family was born with a special attribute.
And not once in the last hundred years have their elemental attributes ever collided with each other.
Duke Vivi was born with the power to control the fire while Sierra could control thunder as for the head of the Vivi family, he could control poison.
Unlike other families, their elemental attributes were different giving them the privilege of being the strongest among all, a family that cannot be offended by anyone because of their constant alterations of change in elemental powers.
The Bell family who ranked second in the demon world was a family of demons who ruled over the demon world with their fire attribute, their special abilities allowed their excellent control of fire.
And according to Sierra the last time, anyone offended Abaddon, that prideful young master roasted that demon until not even his ashes were left behind and yet somehow he managed to offend such a dangerous man.
Damien wanted to cry tears of blood, he hadn't even stepped inside the academy and a sword was already hanging on top of his neck. His soul was already worn out and Damien was afraid that by the end of the day his soul might just fly away.
By then maybe he would escape the punishment of his soul being disintegrated by the Duke.
" Don't worry," said Sierra as she patted him on the back of his hand. She raised her finger and pointed to the earring that was dangling from his ears and swiftly added, " That earring is not just a defensive shield for it, it's my love and affection. Generally, a demon female would mark her mate and give him, her mark. But you are still new to everything and I would like to wait for you to adjust until you are no longer as spooked out as you are right now."
" That earring holds a piece of my magic, as long as you wear it, no one is allowed to harm you much less kill you…at most Abaddon will try to embarrass you but other than that he will know that he cannot make a life-threatening move on you. Because he knows that you are connected to me in a way, if he hurts you I will sense it at once, similarly, you will be able to feel my emotions as well... in case I get hurt or if I am in pain you will know it."
No wonder he was feeling all sort of weird at the moment, he was feeling all warm and fuzzy despite being threatened like that.
Fortunately, Sierra cleared it up for him or else he might have ended up believing that he was going crazy.
" So, you don't need to worry about anything," she said with a smile while leading him to the auditorium of the academy where the entrance ceremony was taking place. " I am with you and I will certainly protect you, after all, I am your future wife."
As she said that her cheeks were flooded with red all over again.
When Damien saw that she was happily giggling lost in her own world, he couldn't help but call her crazy in his head. Though he would admit that the woman was cute but she was freaky cute.
He didn't know what was going on in her head and what exactly was she thinking but as he felt the earring on his ear get hotter by the minute he knew that nothing about Sierra's imagination was below eighteen.
Damien had no idea whether to call Sierra a klutz or not, at one point she looked rather arrogant and dangerous but now she was no different than a teen girl in love.
But she was the only one who could protect him at the moment, so he smiled brightly at her and said, " Then I will be relying on you in the future, please keep me safe …wifey?" He didn't want to say the last word but when he met Sierra's fierce gaze coupled with his desire to stay alive, he ended up saying it.
Whatever, he will just keep her happy … he was used to keeping the customers who came to the supermarket anyway. He just has to keep his head bowed, smile and agree with her until he does not have to rely on her anymore.
Once he becomes strong enough to fend for himself, he was going to kick everyone to the side and get out of here.
It was a heartless thought but … Damien who has been living a life full of troubles because of his parents wanted a normal life, a normal wife and a normal family.
He had no place for a demon female in his heart, no matter how cute she looked and no matter how much his heart thumped at the sight of her.
Sierra's smile widened as she hugged Damien upon hearing him call her wife, " Don't worry Damien, I will definitely protect you!"
But unbeknownst to Damien, her eyes have turned red. Just now she felt everything that was going on in Damien's heart. She knew that he was still thinking of escaping her grasp but what her foolish husband didn't know was that there was no escaping the hands of a demon.
She will break his legs if that's what she has to do to keep him by her side.
Her lips curled up eerily as she patted Damien on the back before regaining her composure and then pulling back with a brilliant smile on her face. "Let's go, the entrance ceremony is going to start soon."
With that, she tugged Damien into the auditorium that was full of high-class demons brimming with demonic energy to the max.
A pair of eyes locked on Damien's back.
