Chapter 15 - Entrance ceremony.

' Stop glaring at me man, I want to run away from this place just as much as you want me gone,' Damien could feel a strong murderous gaze locked at the back of his head, even though he didn't turn around to look who it was, he knew that the person glaring at him like this must be none other than Abaddon.

Why was the demon glaring at him? If he has the guts then go and chase after Sierra, if he can make her fall for him then Damien was willing to dust his hands off and say ' good riddance!'

He looked around the auditorium, Sierra has left him at the entrance of this big hall saying that she needed to do some preparations, Damien didn't know what kind of preparation she needed to do but he didn't ask.

Not because he wasn't curious but because the male demons in the auditorium were all glaring at him like he was some weak rabbit upon which they all wanted to pounce on and gobble up in one swift move.

The auditorium of this demon academy was visibly different than the one in the human world, it seemed to be made inside some sort of cave, stalagmites were sticking out of the roof and if Damien wasn't wrong then once in a while those stalactites and stalagmites would move, elongate and then disappear only to appear in another place.

The seats were carved out of black volcanic rocks and big, blue glasses that were like the modern LCD television hovering all over the place and were displaying the stage that was draped with a black and golden carpet with a podium and a piano that didn't need anyone helps to come up the stage, it moved on its own and the pianist who was responsible for playing the anthem of the academy followed after it.

When the piano settled down on its place, the seat behind was automatically curled out from the magical piano and the pianist sat down on it after a quick sweep of his tailcoat.

" Wow that's crazy," a walking piano was already fantastic enough but the walking piano actually came with a bunch of additional comforts huh? At least it was worth coming to this place, he got to see something that he would have never seen in his world.

Damien found a place among the other seats that were filled to the point where there was no space left and sat down between a huge guy with a body of a Minotaur and someone who looked part snake with all those reptilian features of his.

Both of these demons looked rather scary and Damien was scared to sit down between them but all the seats were taken already and he wasn't going to drag his feet just because the two big guys looked like they could tear him limb by limb.

" Hmm," the guy with the Minotaur head sniffed the air around him and then turned to look at the reptilian head as he said, " Is there human meat in the cafeteria being served today? I smell something really delicious. Like the one time I was allowed to have human flesh on lack of appreciation day at my aunt's."

Damien stiffened upon hearing the Minotaur guy's words, he licked his lips and tried to act as nonchalant as possible. Sierra has already assured him that there was no need for him to worry about anything, her father has changed his body physique into that of a low-ranked demon, and there was no way anyone would recognise that he was not a demon.

" You are still going on about that?" The reptilian guy licked his lips as he shook his head. " You and I both know how hard it is for us to get hold of a human, they are like rare delicacy … and you think that the school cafeteria will serve us human flesh?"

Rare delicacy? It would be better for him to keep his head as low as possible in this school.

" Man, I wish…" the Minotaur guy sighed and lowered his head when he saw Damien sitting next to him, he gave a big start and said, " Who are you, little guy?"

Given Damien was over 190 cm, being called a little guy was enough to make him angry but then again the Minotaur head was simply too big like a giant.

" New student…" answered Damien as he turned his attention to the front of the stage where the pianist was beginning to play the academy anthem.

" Gotta stand up for this," said the reptilian guy when he noticed that Damien was still sitting on the chair. With that, he patted Damien on the back and Damien swore that the pat alone broke his two ribs.

What a mega difference in strength.

' Ungrateful and powerful we will rein on the heaven and earth. The overlord watches us over as we head over to march and trample all the humans under our feet. Temptation, allure and trick we will do everything to get us some human greed. Once contracted we will devour their flesh and bones.'

Damien stared at the stage and tried his best to pretend like he couldn't hear the song that was full of threats booming in his ears. His eyes were dead and his soul even more tired than ever.

' I have to run away from this place.' He promised as he sat down in his seat once the academy anthem was done.

" And now please welcome the student council president, she will be making a speech for all the lovely demons who have taken admission to our academy this year."

Even the demon school has a student council? Damien mused as he looked forward to the appearance of the said student council president.

However, as the student council president made her way towards the podium of the stage, his face turned pale as he looked around for a place to hide and run.

Why did she not tell him…

He was just thinking about sneaking out of the auditorium but he was still a step too late as Sierra who was standing on the stage caught sight of him and waved her hand energetically from the stage. " Damien! Look, your wifey is the student council president aren't you proud?"

At once everyone turned to look at him causing Damien to hide his face behind his hands, she has to be kidding him.
