Damien tilted his head back such that he was looking at the dragon-like thing sitting on top of the glass dome, as to why he called it a dragon-like thing because even though the thing had the face of a dragon, its body was slick and slippery like an eel and its whiskers seemed to be crackling with energy as the beast peered down at him with those ugly ruby eyes that seemed to be saying, ' Agree to my mistress boy or I will take you on a nasty ride.'
See how he did not want to do something as gutless as accepting a forced proposal and if he was in the human world among his own race he would have fought as much as he could but the thing was that he wasn't in his own world and the woman standing in front of him was no human female either.
Nope, she was a demonic female with the power of thunder buzzing through her body, if he dared to so much as curve his mouth to say 'no,' Damien was scared that he would be hit by lightning before he could even say that darned word. Damien had no whatsoever desire to turn into fish fry after being struck by lightning with a demon cum eel as large as a mutant dragon hovering on top of their head, if someone liked it then all by means they were welcome to take his spot.
So, as a wise and smart man, he chose the only option that was left in his hands. He chuckled as he looked at Sierra and clapped his hands, " I was just joking, you are so beautiful why would I not like you?"
He has done it, he said those magical words that all women whether human or demon liked to hear.
The clouds over his head vanished in an instant and then Sierra was smiling at him with a calm and gentle expression on her face as if what just happened was nothing but his imagination.
She sat back in her seat and said, " You should have said that sooner, I was …anyway that is not important what is more important is the deal that I made with my father." At the mention of the deal she grimaced slightly like she just realised the troublesome points about it, yeah you are late lady. " I know my father might have already told you the crux of the deal, you need to become the overlord of this world only then will he give us his blessing to be joined for an eternal time."
Damien wanted to say, ' No thank you, I would rather not.' But his experience told him that he needed to keep those words to himself.
" Yeah he did, he asked a human without any power to become the overlord of demons," Damien said sarcastically and hoped that Sierra would catch on to his sarcasm.
She did because her wince got a lot bigger and then she was twiddling with her thumbs. "I know it's difficult but you don't have to worry, I have it all planned." She clapped her hands together before smiling at him sweetly and Damien all of a sudden had a bad premonition, he didn't know why but he didn't want Sierra to take care of anything.
" Just leave it to me," she added lost in her own world as she patted her chest as she excitedly held his hands in hers. "I will make sure that you will become the overlord of this world with ease."
" Can you at least explain what are you going to do?" He asked slowly taking his hands away from her.
" Oh, it's nothing that I can't do," she replied vaguely and Damien's gut feeling that a bad omen was coming his way multiplied. "Any way you and I shouldn't delay the matter anymore," she snapped her fingers and then Damien felt something warm and cold tickle his body at the same time as a puff of white smoke covered him completely.
When the smoke faded he could see that he was dressed in a sort of uniform, that was blacker than tar with red rims covering its edges. It more or less looked like a school uniform but there was a subtle extravagance that it reeked of, you wouldn't find in a normal school uniform.
' Oh hell, I spent so many years finishing my schooling and now I have to do it all over again? Ugh just kill me.'
"It fits you perfectly!" Sierra did not seem to share the same feelings as him, instead, she seemed perfectly delighted about the idea of him wearing the school uniform. " You are the first man who has won my heart, I will definitely take care of everything for you, not only will I make sure that you get three meals a day, and good clothes but also .." her smile turned a bit brighter as she continued, " I will make sure that you don't get killed!"
" That... How do you know that I don't get to eat three meals a day?" Damien asked suddenly realising something.
When he questioned Sierra, she looked awkward as she turned her head away and coughed before regaining her gentle and noble persona. " You were the man upon whom I set my eyes on, surely I will have to make sure that I didn't make a choice so …"
" You stalked me?" Damien asked, his voice getting a bit pitched when he realised that his privacy was actually being violated for eight whole years or maybe more who knows?
" I would not call it as boorish as stalking," countered Sierra with an indignant expression. " I was just trying to help you as much as I could, your parents have dragged you for so long, you couldn't even eat or sleep …even your schooling was done in a public school making it impossible for you to get into a good university. I wanted to help you but I did not have the power to, if I did then I would have to ask you to sell your soul to me. I did not want that, that is why I would often steal from the shops where they sold food and leave it in front of your apartment but I never expected that your parents would sell you to my father so easily…" lighting cracked in the sky again as her horns started to buzz with electric currents again. " My father wanted to disintegrate your soul such that I will get over the obsession that I have for you, that is why I had to make the deal with him, if I didn't you wouldn't be sitting here."
