"Sir, they bullied me."

I understand, the story will make you feel better.

"…ok"

Now off to the chapter— remember to friend them, keep trying to master their moves, and find their weaknesses and strengths, only by continuously trying— can we succeed.

Chapter 43 Derrick the dragon

The scene zoomed into a humanoid figure digging its hands into the surface of a mountain and climbing to the top.

"What is up with this mountain? It gets harder to move up each scale!"

Derrick thought while unsure of his journey upward, contemplating his next series of actions.

But from the right of his eyes, he noticed an opening, and with curiosity, he changed his direction, darting right.

Now above the opening, Derrick took a deep breath before continuing.

He jumped up with full force and grabbed the edge of the cave gap as a propelling force soon tried to eject him.

He soon pulled through and forcefully entered with a grunt.

"Am in!" said Derrick, his chest rising to and fro as he stood up and dusted himself.

"There is no downward force inside the mountain! Only on the outside," Derrick observed before looking around the location.

It was a corridor with large glowing blue lines on the walls and catacombs aligned close to the walls with some statues of birds.

"I should- be able to get to the top by using this pathway!"

Derrick said before closing his mouth and completing the sentence in his mind.

He seemed unsure of the danger that lay in these corridors, so he acted very cautiously from here onwards.

Derrick ran through the corridor, soon reaching a corner, and hid at the edge of a wall, peeping at the alley. He saw two guards made of gray rocks standing at a huge metallic door with swirly red lines.

He then forced his DB powers to activate and manifest a tomahawk in his hands as blood dripped from the sides of his lips.

He then put it on his back horizontally and walked to the guards with his hands in the air.

"Hello,"

Derrick said as he got near the guards, who reacted by pointing their rock spears at him with caution in their eyes as they took glances at each other.

"I am lost if you cou-"

The guard instantly thrust the spear at Derek's face. He immediately spun out of the way as he took the tomahawk.

Derrick swatted the tomahawk at the rocky creature's head, causing it to shatter into pieces, spraying gray blood all over the ground.

He then put his hand on the wound and ripped apart the guard's head.

Derrick slowly stared at the other guard as golden lightning emitted from his skin.

"Do you want to talk, or do i-"

The guard's leg and arm flinched forward, and Derrick instantly threw the tomahawk at its head.

The guards still moved, his spear stopping a few inches away from Derrick's heart.

It could not go further as its life ended the instant the axe reached his face.

Blood splattered on the ground as the guard fell into a heap of its blood.

Derrick let out a tired sign before stretching out his hands and calling the tomahawk to fly towards him.

[Smackk!]

The ax sounded as it soared to his palm. Derrick held it for a few seconds and placed it back as he looked at the huge gate.

"This is getting… tiresome."

Derrick thought while raising his hands and placing both of them on the two sides of the large gate.

He closed his eyes for a second before opening them and revealing radiant gold eyes, withholding his surging blood as he pushed forward.

His veins slowly turned silver as he continued.

The door slowly revealed a gap, giving him more motivation to push.

Veins appeared next to his eyes, with blood slipping from his sockets.

Derrick stopped as a human-shaped gap appeared, falling through it as he held his arms on the ground.

"Painful…"

Derrick said, trying to look up what was inside this new room

A Massive chamber with large circular blue designs and two massive humanoid statues on each side of the drawings.

The chamber walls were made of white mist and occasionally blue and red dots that glowed inside it.

Derrick took a deep breath as he lay on his back and looked up and noticed a constellation on the ceiling.

"I am close! I can feel it."

Derrick thought, flipping himself back up and trekking to the center.

He slowly placed his hand in the midpoint of the circulated repeated patterns.

"Hmm…! Is there something that I am to do here?"

He said, looking around the room again and contemplating.

Derrick spread his hands to the side, summoning his ax/tomahawk to it, and with a grunt– he smashed down.

[Pang!]

Blue energy sent Derrick flying into the air. The force visibly spread through the entire chamber as Derrick collided with the floor.

While lying on his back, Derrick witnessed the spread of blue energy that permeated the room and thought.

"Everything here is connected!"

He stood up while laughing and picked up his weapon while placing it on his back and thought, "I will start with the statue."

He walked to a statue that stood upright with its hand vertically upward.

Derrick looked at it for a few seconds and tried to push it.

The statue ejected sparks while sliding on the flat surface, causing the circular lines on the ground to move with it.

"I see."

Derrick went to the back and pushed it in.

More sparks were sent out as the massive statue, a hundred times the size of Derrick, moved toward the center as his eyes produced gleaming light.

Soon, he got it to the middle and ran to the other side, doing the same.

The two statues came together, their hands meshed in perfect harmony, and the lines on the floor were now straight.

Derrick took long breaths as he leaned on the statue.

"Damn… bastrad… burd."

He said between pants holding his chest, with a raging expression before calming himself and looking up and down.

He got his ax and paid close attention to the straight line on the ground and up.

He had an idea as he leaned back into a throwing position while looking at the stars on the ceiling.

[Swakkk!]

The ax flipped through the air, hitting the starry dots and causing them to shift in position.

Derrick called back his weapon as the end of his mouth morphed into a smile.

Derrick repeated this motion, running around the field and throwing his tomahawk at the lights in the sky, shifting them from their spot.

The weird sound saturated the chambers, and the stars aligned with the ground making the constellation clear out of the way and showing a vertical path above it to the surface.

Derrick felt himself floating upwards, heading to the gap.

"I am coming-…something is wrong!"

His danger senses clicked in, moving from the spot as a gray rocky creature with a hammer appeared from space and struck the location he previously stood.

Derrick looked up and saw more creatures of the same variety appear with menacing expressions.

They were slightly larger than the guards, with large fangs while holding large war hammers.

One of the hostiles floated towards Derrick with the hammer over his head.

Derrick immediately acted, dealing a right cross slash, a left slice, and a horizontal cut on its chest.

He then kicked the body at the group before throwing his tomahawk with a flash of gold.

The tomahawk released a flash of light, destroying their bodies.

Derrick immediately summoned his ax and sliced at his back, cutting another hostile in half while blocking a strike with his armored hand.

He deflected the hammer and stabbed the face of the for with the claw part of his gauntlet, then dragged the rock-based creature and used it as a shield to block a projectile.

The temporal shield shattered as an enormous war hammer collided with it, causing smoke to spread around the environment.

The last two enemies looked cautiously while heavily gripping their mallets.

With unnatural speed, Derrick appeared at their backs while crouching—

The last two opponents shattered, emitting smoke and debris.

Blood then flowed out from Derrick's skin, making him unable to keep his balance and falling to the ground as he watched the approaching entrance.

The sound came again, stopping at the top of the mountain as Derrick lay on his back, looking at the sun above.

"Finally."

He thought while struggling to stand, strolling to a spot in haste!

.

.

.

He stood in front of a gigantic crater emitting black smoke with the ground charted black while drifted from on its sides.

Derrick slid down the Crater and roamed to the center and thought, "So… That's what happened?" as a memory flashed in his eyes.
