Chereads / The Vampire's Last Mission / Chapter 8 - Where Is Olive?

Chapter 8 - Where Is Olive?

A car in motion suddenly pulled over at a suitable spot. The guy at the steering turned to face the lady sitting beside him. "Who saved you last night?" He asked as he took a closer look at the lady who didn't look sick at all.

"News had it that about fifteen bullets were buried into your body so why is it that you are still ok?"

Ivy instead of facing him stared at the front. "Two men saved me last night…,"

"They saved you under the noses of so many police officers? I have never heard of such daring people before," Samuel said.

Although he acted surprised, the truth is that he felt so relieved that someone saved her despite everything.

If not for those who saved her, he couldn't even bring himself to imagine what would have been her fate.

"Though they looked like every normal man out there, the truth is that they had superpowers. They were neither humans, vampires or werewolves. I have never come across such beings before," Ivy said in a carefree tone.

"What!" Samuel remarked in surprise. "Do you want me to find out about their identity…,"

"Knowing about their identity is useless since I don't intend on running into them ever again," Ivy cut him short. She turned to face him.

"So what is your next step now?" Samuel asked curiously. This particular mission was the last pending mission for her.

Now he believes Ivy will focus her attention on the mission which is more important than all the missions she has undertaken.

Apart from gaining her freedom from the Academy, there are other benefits attached to this mission.

To Ivy, the second benefit is even more important than her freedom from the Academy.

"Firstly to kill the one who dared to tamper with my weapons and secondly to pay back the police officer who initiated the shooting last night," Ivy said in a cold tone. Her expression was stern and deprived of any emotion.

"The police officer was only doing his job so won't you let him go…,"

"Are there such words in my dictionary?"

Ivy's question made Samuel shut up.

If there is one thing he knows about Ivy, it is the fact that she doesn't let those who harm her go scot-free. She is sure to avenge herself.

"Take me back to the Academy and while on the way, tell me what you found out about those who dared to ruin my weapons. I won't spare whoever did that to me," Ivy's fierce tone showed just how damn serious she is about avenging herself.

While driving Samuel went ahead to tell Ivy what he found out about the one that ruined her weapons.

She wouldn't have gotten so badly hurt if her guns or rope wasn't tampered with.

When they got to the closest parking lounge to the forest, Samuel parked his car, and they resumed their journey on foot.

Everywhere was just an endless bush. There was no sign of life apart from that of the chirping birds and animals.

After walking deep into the bush, Samuel brought out a blue token from his bag. He extended the token forward and immediately a blinding light emitted from the token, what previously looked like an endless bush changed.

The Academy appeared out of nowhere. Even from afar, one could see how huge the Academy was. Without wasting time, they crossed the boundary.

The seal was once again activated after they entered the Academy.

Ivy and Samuel vanished at the same time only to appear in a hall filled with about twenty females all putting on black outfits.

Ivy let her eyes scan the hall for the one she was searching for

"Where is Olive?" Ivy asked no one in particular.

"She is at the open training ground training the younger ones," Josephine, the one standing the closest to Ivy replied. Ivy didn't utter a word, she turned to leave.

"Senior, before you left I asked you to duel with me and you promised to do that. When are you going to do that?" Agnes, standing at the far end of the large hall yelled loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear.

"Let's talk about that after I have murdered the one I came here for," Ivy said without turning to stare at the one who asked her a question.

She and Samuel disappeared from the room.

"What does she mean by she wants to murder someone?" Agnes asked no one in particular. Others were just as confused as she was.

"Let's find out what she means," One of the ladies suggested and everyone seems to agree with her.

All of them vanished from the hall using their powers.

"Here you are!" She exclaimed and threw the black jacket in her hand on the field.

"I am glad I didn't have to search for too long to find you," Ivy standing some distance away from where Olive stood said in a cold tone.

Her voice made the lady wearing a red sleeveless shirt turn around.

"Why are you searching for me?" Olive who guessed why the angry Ivy was there, asked. She excused the young girl whom she was training.

"To repay the debt you owe me," Ivy picked up the long sword lying on the green field. She charged towards Olive with the sword.

Olive, holding a sword too, got ready to defend herself.

Where Ivy's sword was aiming at was Olive's neck. Olive knew her head will end up rolling on the grassy ground and so she bent thereby dodging the fatal attack.

Ivy didn't even wait for Olive to recover from her first attack. She attacked Olive with the tip of the sword facing her stomach.

Olive blocked the attack using her sword. It was now the other ladies arrived on the field which served as their training ground.

"I wonder why I feel like you have the intention of killing me here right now? Whatever debt were you talking about….," The furious Ivy attacked Olive by the side before she could complete her sentence but Olive blocked the attack on time.

"Don't worry you will naturally remember the debt you owe me after you suffer at least ten stabs from my sword," Ivy's attack became fierce and swifter.

With Ivy's speed and fierceness, it was becoming hard for Olive to defend herself not to mention attack Ivy.

Out of all the 200 ladies in the Academy, Ivy was the number one best student the Academy has ever produced.

Apart from being the best in martial arts, she was also known for being witty. Her wittiness is the reason the leader always trusts her with important missions.

For the past fifteen years, there have been no missions Ivy has failed to accomplish.

Although she was the best student in the Academy, Olive wasn't inferior either.

Olive was powerful although not as powerful as Ivy but she isn't an opponent to be underestimated.

They were the two best students in the Academy and all their juniors respect them a lot. They all look up to the two of them as their role models.
