Chapter 12 - I Should Beg You?

Ivy's mood took a 180-degree turn after Gideon interrupted their sweet time.

"And what problem is so difficult that even the manager of the club couldn't resolve but had to barge into my private room," Ivy's cold voice made Gideon tremble but he decided to tell her what was wrong.

That way his punishment will be lower.

"Boss, I went and tried to appease him but he didn't cool down a bit. He kept on insisting he wants to meet the owner of the club," Gideon relayed what happened earlier.

"He is a figure that no one can afford to offend, that is why I had no choice but to come and call you."

Ivy's frown deepened at Gideon's statement.

"If he is someone you can't afford to offend then do you mean that I am someone you could afford to offend," Ivy's gaze grew colder as he stared at Gideon's neck.

"Ivy, calm down. You know that is not what he meant," Samuel decided to help the poor guy out.

He didn't even dare to imagine what will happen to Gideon if Ivy continues getting mad at him.

"What happened that threw the mentioned man into a feat of anger that he refused to be appeased?" Samuel asked curiously.

He knew the best way to resolve the issue was to know what went wrong and that the customer would make such a demand.

What if Ivy did not drop by the club? How would the manager have managed the situation?

Gideon went ahead to narrate what the waiters told him. Even the ladies accompanying the temperamental customer testified to the waiter's statement.

"Only a glass of wine was spilt on his shoe and he made such a fuss that it disrupted my peace?" Ivy asked, sounding angrier.

"I really want to see who is the gutsy guy who dared to make a fuss in my club over such trivia issues," Ivy said standing up from her chair.

She bent and dropped the glass of whiskey on the table.

Gideon and Samuel follow the angry lady.

"He said the shoe was a limited edition from an Italian craft man…,"

Ivy halted and turned to face him. Gideon almost bumped into her because of her abruptness.

"If he is making a fuss over a shoe, we can compensate him for the shoe. No matter how expensive the shoe is, our club can afford five of the exact shoes without going bankrupt," Ivy said as she walked towards where the VIP room was located.

"You are right about that. His family is extremely rich which is why I suspected that he must have caused a fuss because he wanted to have a glimpse of your face…,"

"Refrain from talking too much if you don't want her to be the one to shut you up," Samuel advised the talkative guy.

Ivy still hasn't fired him despite all his misbehaviours due to his ability to please customers with his words.

The reason why he hasn't gotten closer to Ivy despite having worked in the main branch of the club for two years was that he is talkative.

The cold lady prefers those who talk little to those who talk a lot because she believes that those who talk a lot are prone to making mistakes and divulging secrets while the opposite was the case for those who talk little.

When they reached the brown wooden door, Gideon opened the door for his boss.

Entering the room, the three of them were greeted by shattering sounds. Even a lady was about to be hit by the guy Ivy suspects to be the one who ruined the VIP room.

"I can tolerate you breaking a few things and this is because this stuff could be bought but I don't tolerate people hitting my staff merely because they make mistakes," Ivy standing close to the door said in a cold tone.

The guy in a grey shirt who was about to hit the lady pushed her away.

"You must be the owner right?" The guy in a red shirt sitting at the far end of the room with two ladies each by his sides asked in his husky voice.

"If you beg me and apologize for the crime your employees committed, I will forgive you," the guy said, sounding benevolent.

"I should beg you?" Ivy chuckled to the annoyance of the guy staring at the direction the voice came from.

"I have never begged anyone in my life and I plan to keep it that way for as long as I live. I advise that you get rid of the idea that I will ever beg you," Ivy said fearlessly.

In fact, she has always been fearless all her life so Samuel wasn't surprised to see her this way but that wasn't the same for the rich guy.

Despite his condition, nobody had dared to speak back at him with a tone higher than normal but this lady dares to do so.

"And did you say they committed a crime?" Ivy said as she took two steps forward.

"Honestly, they committed no crime but you did. You damaged my club's property and that is a crime. I am sure you understand what I am trying to say?" Ivy asked in a cold tone. She walked out of the room before the guy in the red shirt could talk.

"Boss…," The door closed on him before Gideon could call back his boss.
