"What else if not to infiltrate the lion's den?" Ivy asked, her lips curling into a wicked smile. "It's good to have your enemy close by. This way you will monitor all their moves and that is what I am going to do…,"
"But you know that isn't as easy as you said. Going into their home when their identity is uncertain can prove to be dangerous…,"
"I know the boss said she discovered that the man is neither human, werewolf, witch or vampire but what can he do to me when he doesn't even know my real identity or intention?" Ivy asked in a fierce tone.
"But…,"
"I have already made up my mind so stop trying to persuade me. Instead of trying to change my mind, think of ways to make my stay in their home bearable," Ivy said before she looked out of the window once again.
"I know it is pointless to try to persuade you. All I can do is come up with ways to make your mission easier," Samuel increase the speed of the car.
"I will stay in your apartment until it's time for us to leave for the club," Samuel said after they had arrived at the tall grey building.
Ivy opened the door and stepped out of the car. "It's not like you always ask for permission whenever you want to stay over. You always take the liberty to do whatever you want," Ivy approached the entrance of the building. Samuel smiled at the lady walking away.
"Although you always act cold, I know you love me very much deep within. You just don't know how to express it," Samuel said beaming as he hastened to catch up to her.
"Whatever you say," Ivy continued approaching the entrance of the door.
When Ivy and Samuel reach their room, they didn't even rest because Samuel challenged her to a game.
The two sat in front of the screen with game consoles in their hands playing their favourite game.
They played until it was night. Ivy standing falls on the couch after winning that round.
Samuel threw his console on the marble table and turned to face Ivy. "Ivy, you were normally bad at playing games so why is it that you were very good today?" Samuel sat on the marble table staring at her.
"Take a guess," Ivy said smiling at the frowning guy. She could understand why he was so surprised that she won against him.
Before he was always the one who had the highest scores. He always wins against her but today she won him.
"Did you perhaps always lose to me deliberately?" Samuel asked after summing up all the possibilities.
"What do you think?" Ivy stood up and approached her bedroom. Samuel followed her.
"Stop acting this way and give me a definite answer…,"
"Are you going to watch me change?" Ivy turned to block his path when he wanted to enter her room.
"We have always bathed together nude when we were kids, what is wrong if I…,"
Ivy let go of the door frame and walk into the room. "I dare you to come in, that is, if you want to get your eyes gouged," Ivy said. Her words made Samuel retract his legs.
"I will go but I will get my answers," Samuel quickly shut the door when he saw her unbuttoning her shirt.
Samuel waited for her to come out of the room. He stood up from the couch when he saw her come out of the room all dressed up in her black leather outfit. The glimmering earrings she wore dropped down to her shoulders.
"Stop ogling," Ivy remarked as she approached where he stood.
"You can't blame me for staring at you like this. You know I have missed seeing your real face. The real you look a million times prettier than the mask you often wear," Samuel said as he followed her towards the exit.
"If that's so then stare at me for as long as you can because you might not get to see my real face for two months. And even though you get to see it, it will be for a brief period…,"
Samuel jumped and stood at her front. "Does that mean I can touch and play with your face too?" Samuel said as he winked naughtily at her. Ivy couldn't resist smiling at him.
"Stop acting naughty," Ivy scolded as she pulled his cheeks playfully. The two soon head downstairs to where they parked their car.
Samuel and Ivy soon left for the club in their black Mercedes Benz car.
When they reached the club the three security guards at the entrance of the club bowed to the two of them before they gave way to them.
"Welcome boss," these were the two words her employees who saw her said to her.
Gideon the manager of the club on hearing that the CEO of the club was around ran out of his room to go greet her.
"It's so nice to see you around boss," Gideon reaching where Ivy and Samuel stood examining the club greeted. He didn't forget to bow to the two of them. "Young master, you look as good as always," He complimented by smiling at Samuel.
"How has business been going?" Ivy asked her fierce glare directed at the guy so that he won't dare tell a lie.
"Business has been going quite well. Our club is a high-end club so all the customers are wealthy socialites…,"
"I am the one who has the club so of course, I know that. I knew who my targeted customers were that is why I sited the club in this part of the City," Ivy interrupted the guy abruptly.
"After boss showed her face six months ago, almost all our customers are mostly rich businessmen and tycoons. They all come to behold the extraordinary beauty of our CEO," Gideon said with pride as he smiles at Ivy's stern face.
"They have all been asking about you. All of them are all so eager to see you. They have all asked that I should inform them whenever you show up in the club…," Gideon hesitated to say his next words. After the last time Ivy beat him up, he had become very scared of her.
"What is it that you are hesitating to say? Tell us," Samuel said when he saw that Ivy wasn't curious to know what Gideon was hesitating to say.
"Boss should I inform everyone that you are around…,"
"I am not some cheap lady who goes around serving or fawning over rich tycoons. If they want to see me then let them keep waiting," Ivy walked away in annoyance.
She went to the VVIP room mainly designed for the CEO alone.
She and Samuel stayed there and enjoyed their private time. They were still chatting and playing when the trembling manager barged into their room.
Ivy shot the trembling man a piercing glance. "And what do you think you are doing?" Ivy's cold voice filled the room when the music suddenly stopped playing.
"Boss, there is a problem," Gideon replied looking very troubled.
