"I know I don't have to explain my actions to anyone but let me enlighten you on why I gave you and the other girls missions to Ivy," The angry Melissa said as she stood up and approached were Ivy, Samuel and Olive stood.
"It's because Ivy is going to be very busy when she undertakes the new mission I have given her. Although she is still going to undertake other missions too, the truth is all the major missions will be tackled by you and the other girls. This is why I kept Ivy in charge of all the missions," Melissa has never loved explaining herself but had to do that to clear up the misunderstanding.
After the explanation the leader gave, Olive was lost at what to say.
"If you thought that my decision was wrong you should have asked me and your masters for a chance," She replied whispered.
"The Academy has always given all the girls an equal opportunity. We would have allowed the two of you to battle it out and the winner will be the one to complete the mission, isn't this how we always did?" Melissa asked in a fierce tone, her eyes turning crimson red.
"The Academy had always promoted contests and duels but never did we tolerate scheming among the students so why did you do such a silly thing? Did you think about the consequences?" Melissa questioned the now quiet lady.
"How do you intend to punish her, Melissa?" Master Clara asked in a cold tone.
The Moon Chaser Academy was founded by three women in which Master Clara and another Master were one of them.
These two other masters let Melissa become the leader since she was the most powerful out of the three of them.
The idea of forming an Academy was brought up by Melissa which is why they thought she was more suitable to be the leader.
The position of the three leaders was just as important as that of Melissa. They are well respected by the students. All the students hold the three founders in high esteem.
"She is to be detained in the cold room for three days without water or blood…,"
"Isn't that a light punishment compared to what she did to Ivy? She almost got her killed so her punishment should be more severe…,"
"Are you challenging my authority, Samuel Han?" Melissa called her son by his full name just like she normally did whenever she was furious.
"I wouldn't dare," Samuel reluctantly said after seeing Master Clara's signal.
"You all are dismissed,"
Ivy was the first person to leave the room. When they had gotten a significant distance away from the leader's office, Ivy halted. She turned and blocked Olive's path.
"Don't be too happy that the leader stopped us today because if you dare to repeat such a thing I will not hesitate to kill you," Ivy said, her expression stern to show she wasn't kidding.
"I will kill you before any of the Masters or the leader get to intervene. Heed my advice if you are wise," Ivy turned and walked away.
When she reached the hall the other ladies were practising Agnes came out and obstructed her path.
"Senior, aren't we holding the duel before you leave?" Agnes, who has been very eager to test her skills, asked.
"Not today. I am not in a good mood. I am afraid I might lose my temper and hurt you so let's hold the duel the next time I visit the Academy," Ivy said in a composed tone.
"Is that a promise?" Agnes asked for reassurance.
"Of course, it is," Samuel answered before Ivy could.
"I will be leaving now. Practice steadfastly because that is the only way your skills will rise to their peak. Stop fooling around all day," Ivy advised before she walked away.
"If you do like she said you might be able to save your face after lasting one round when the duel is held. You don't need me to tell you what will happen if you can't even last for a round right?" Samuel pats the girl's hair.
"You…," Samuel walked away before the seventeen-year-old Agnes could state her displeasure.
Ivy and Samuel left the Academy after accomplishing the mission that brought them there.
Inside the car, Samuel driving turned to face the lady leaning on the seat with her eyes closed.
"What next now?" Samuel asked not forgetting to focus his attention on the busy road.
"Let's head to my apartment first. I will drop by the club to check how it is doing. Afterwards, it will be my payback time for the police officer," Ivy laid out her plans accordingly.
"You are still not letting the police officer off…,"
"What about the stuff I asked you for? Were you able to gather the information?" Ivy opened her eyes and stared at the guy driving.
Samuel stole a glance at her, surprised to hear her ask him such a question. "I have already left the brown envelope containing the needed information. Don't tell me you didn't go through them".
Ivy was finally able to relax after learning that he had taken care of the task she gave him.
Although Samuel might be bad at every other thing, the one thing he knows how to do perfectly well is handling the computer.
He was born a computer genius which is why he didn't have problems grasping the knowledge about technology when the leader employed two teachers from overseas to teach him.
He has been learning stuff about computers and technology since he was a child, unlike the ladies whose specialisation is solely based on martial arts.
The leader intends on letting him inherit the Academy which is why he was never allowed into the dorms where the girls lived. He was only allowed into the girls' dorms when he turned sixteen.
Although Melissa didn't publicly let him practice martial arts, his childhood best friend Ivy taught him in secret.
"You know one thing I hate is being distracted while completing a mission. I didn't go through any of the files you or the leader gave me because I was scared of getting distracted from my current missions then," Ivy explained while staring out of the window.
"Ivy, you need to go through them. You have only two weeks before the three months duration mission begins…,"
"I know what I am doing. I have already planned on using one month out of the three months to study my targets and his family members and that is what I will do," Ivy who had already strategized everything said with confidence.
"If I may ask how do you plan on accomplishing the mission using your new identity," Samuel stole a glance at her once again.
