The stadium was deadly hot. I was hoping it would be a little colder seeing as it was WINTER! But the moon stadium was known to be odd in many ways ever since it was created. So anyways, time to introduce myself. My name is Tony Schleider. Weird name huh? I'm 18 years old. I have black and straight hair and I'm not skinny or muscular. You can always see me wearing a grey jersey and black pants.
So let me catch you up on what's happening. By the way, don't blame me if I do a lousy narrating. It's over a thousand years old and I only know the highlights as my dad told me when I was a kid.
The universe was thought to be divided into nineteen planets, forty five dwarf planets, over 2000 moons and billions of stars a thousand years ago. Until the year 2050, we Earthlings thought that we were the only ones to inhabit a planet. But in 2051, the sky changed its color. The sun was blocked out, the clouds were vaporized and the other races showed up. Apparently, the dominant races of the solar system were having a huge war and the Earth was in their way. Earth had lost a third of itself and almost 80 percent of its inhabitants were eradicated. The humans inhabiting the Earth were the smartest race and 2 billion of a 15 billion population managed to survive that catastrophe. Only a few other species survived. Ever since that tragedy, the remaining humans developed various ways to overcome these…aliens.
The aliens proved to be mentally and physically much more powerful and developed than man. But the humans had a specialty that no other race did. It was a specialty that allowed them to adapt more methods to stand on par with those overwhelmingly dominant creatures, the power of not giving up. For almost a thousand years humans have faced crushing defeat. But since about a hundred years ago, we have been rapidly developing, and now, in the year 3112, we humans stand at the top of the chain.
Still, the powers of aliens are way too high to say that we have won the battle. The only way we win battles is through strategy and outnumbering. We humans have taken the throne for almost 200 years now. But the aliens haven't completely bowed down to us. In order to keep at the top, humans have to keep dominating. And to do that we have the annihilators, a group of powerful experts that can fight those aliens and defeat them.
Speaking of, remember when I mentioned the moon stadium? As its name suggests, it's an arena built on the moon (humans now have the technology to produce artificial oxygen, so we can basically go anywhere in the universe. Pretty cool huh?), and this is where the leaders of 12 annihilator squads spectate the abilities of applicants and deem them worthy or not to be an annihilator. What more? If we are deemed worthy, we get to pick any squad of our liking. That's right; I Tony Schleider (still a weird name), am aiming to be an annihilator, and not just any annihilator, the master annihilator. He watches over the squads and their captains and also is considered the strongest human alive. Not only that, but he is also one of the top five strongest beings in the universe. Sure, I have a long way to go, but I'm sure it'll be fun and of course, life threatening. Once I do become master (and I will), I will put an end to all this killing and violence and unite a total of 812 races. Sounds like a lot of work, but I'm sure it'll work out somehow. The moon stadium was a huge arena.
Suddenly, there was a drumming sound. It slightly increased in volume until the whole population within the moon stadium was looking at the skinny, fair, and long haired drummer. After a few moments, the drumming came to a stop and a short and bearded man came forward. He was about 4 feet tall. He took a scroll out of his pocket and cleared his throat loudly. Surprisingly we could all hear him (well surprising for you, now we have pills we can take that and multiply our voice by tenfold to a hundred).
He said, "The captains have arrived!"
