A while later everyone remembered that they had their own duels to wrap up. It didn't take much time. The serpent man was taken to the first aid camp at the far end of the arena where no fights took place. His face was really bloody and he had lost a couple of teeth. Thankfully he was unconscious, but I felt bad for him. While all of this happened I still had a question lingering in my head. Is everyone here as weak as that guy? From there on everyone seemed vary of me.
Two minutes after the duels had ended, everyone's watches glowed yellow again.
Carsalina announced," The captains have decided who will pass this trial and who will not. Please use the stats from your astromix"
(Oh, I forgot to mention, those were what we called these watches. There might be more stuff I haven't told you yet but bear with it ok?)
I clicked the yellow button and my stats appeared. In the trial section, it said: "PASSED". I passed! Yay! My first step to being the master annihilator was complete.
"Now I shall announce the top three candidates of this year. In third place is Strom Crase."
It was another weird name (not that I'm one to talk). The super large guy who I saw in the corner of the arena came up front. So he had to be pretty strong.
"At second place is Nicola Brownwitch."
A tan and pretty girl who seemed around my age came up front. Wait how is a normal-sized girl stronger than a 20-foot-tall monster human? I was shocked.
"And taking the first spot of all the candidates of this year is, Tony Schleider!"
ME? I was the top candidate? Me? I couldn't believe it. Everyone was looking at me. The captains were praising me. And most of all, the master had acknowledged me!
Well, I guess eight years of training with my dad back on Earth was pretty effective. My dad made me do 200 pushups and run 100 miles every day since I was ten. Of course, there were an uncountable number of times when I just wanted to bail and lead a normal life but then I pictured myself being the master of annihilators and master of the universe. If 200 pushups and 100 miles were all it took then I would rather train. Of course, when I was 11 my dad made me do 500 pushups and run 300 miles a day and by the time I was 17, I could easily do 2000 pushups and run about 5000 miles a day. Sure it sounds far-fetched, but annihilators were much more powerful than normal humans. The kick I delivered to the serpent man on the face was actually able to knock down huge trees but it only broke a few of his teeth. How powerful is that?
Miss Carsalina continued,
"Now these candidates are only the top three in the first trial. There are still 3 more trials to go and any of you might ascend to the top three"
