Chereads / The Southern Legion / Chapter 54 - Annihilator Destiny

Chapter 54 - Annihilator Destiny

You would expect the insides of a tree to be woody and moist but this time it wasn't the case.

After I went in, I noticed that the walls were shining bright blue. It was rather fabulous. Then, the old man cleared his throat.

"Welcome to the headquarters of the Annihilators," he said with a twinkle in his eye. "This may look like an ordinary tree, but it's actually one of the most advanced bases in the universe. It's equipped with the latest technology, weapons, and defenses to help us in our fight against the aliens."

Tony couldn't believe what he was seeing. He had never imagined that the Annihilators had such advanced resources at their disposal. He followed the old man as he led him through the maze of corridors, pointing out different rooms and facilities. There were training rooms, armories, and even a medical bay.

"This is where you will be spending most of your time," the old man said, gesturing to a large room filled with various training equipment.

"You will be put through rigorous physical and mental training to prepare you for battle. But don't worry, you will have the best teachers and mentors to guide you along the way."

Tony felt a surge of excitement and determination. He had never felt so alive and ready for a challenge.

He knew that the path ahead would be difficult, but he was determined to become the master annihilator and bring peace to the universe.

As they continued their tour, the old man showed Tony the living quarters, where the Annihilators lived and relaxed when they were not on missions. Tony couldn't wait to be a part of this elite group and make a difference in the world. He knew that this was his destiny and he was ready to embrace it.

The old man led Tony to a room with a large table and gestured for him to take a seat. "This is where the captains of the Annihilator squads will be interviewing you," he said.

"They will be testing your skills and determining if you are fit to join their squad."

Tony took a deep breath and steeled himself for the upcoming interview. He knew that this would be the most important moment of his life, but he was ready for it. He was going to show them what he was made of and prove that he had what it takes to become the master annihilator. As Tony followed the old man deeper into the tree, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The walls were shining a bright blue, and the air was thick with a strange energy. He wondered what the old man was hiding.

As they reached the end of the passage, the old man turned to him with a grave expression. "Tony, there is something I must tell you. I am not who you think I am."

Tony's heart began to race. Was this old man a spy or a traitor working for the aliens? He had trusted him, and now he was questioning everything.

"I am not a simple villager, Tony. I am a member of a secret organization, sworn to protect humanity from the threat of aliens. We have been watching you, and we believe that you have the potential to be one of our strongest agents."

Tony was in shock. He had never suspected that there were others like him, fighting against the aliens in secret.

He was filled with a sense of purpose and determination.

"I will do whatever it takes to protect humanity," he said firmly.

The old man nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "That is what I wanted to hear. But be warned, the path ahead will be dangerous and difficult. Are you ready to face the truth behind the mask?"

Tony took a deep breath and nodded. He was ready for whatever lay ahead.

He was ready.
