Elinor’s POV
He had the most exotic laughs. I mean his laughter had me stopping in my tracks to look at him so that I watched how his eyes crinkled and his teeth bared. He was terribly handsome, that much was obvious and quite undisputed.
“You have chosen to watch me then?” he asked and brought me out of my reverie.
He was no longer laughing, but there was definitely humor in his features. But even as he was able to pick himself back up in the most elegant of ways, after laughing that way, I found that I couldn’t look away. He was just that magnetic.
“You’re interesting, Your Majesty,” I said quietly, before forcing myself to avert my eyes from him.
“I’ve never seen myself as interesting,” he said thoughtfully and put some food in his mouth.
When I lifted my gaze to him, I found him watching me.
“Then maybe you haven’t taken the time to pay attention to what lies within.”
He said nothing at first, but simply shrugged.
