Elinor’s POV
The Emperor put Kali to a stop when we got to what seemed to me a greenhouse, that was not so far from a lake. And then came off him, stretching out his hand so he could help me get off. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, because, with the way he acted, one would think that I had never ridden a horse in all my years of living.
But in the end, I took his hand. And I had to admit, his chivalry wasn’t lost on me and his actions weren’t so annoying— if I thought about it, I found that I could let myself see just how charming his actions were.
Even if he did it all with a straight face.
whoever said chivalry was dead, Lied.
“Where are we?” I asked and was completely caught off guard when I stared into the beauty of the greenhouse.
