"Where are you going? Why don't you go to the bus stop?" Tony asked confused when he saw Valdo passing the bus stop.
"I want to meet someone," Valdo's sudden smile made Tony wince.
"Why is he smiling weirdly like that?" Tony asked.
Valdo walked leisurely into the skyscraper. The Gold Lycaon Company was luxurious and glorified by many. It is predicted to be the best company for compensation and career path matters. That's why so many people want to work there.
Every eye was of course on him. It's not a common sight to see him in a company. Pressing the elevator button, Valdo smiled politely at the few people who greeted him. Go in and occasionally stare at the floor indicator light that keeps going. Towards the place where the person he wanted to meet was located. Ah actually not him either, but he's the only one he knows here.
"Mr. Valdo," said Jasper followed by the others.
"There's no need for that. I'm going to meet my brother," said Valdo briefly.
Of course the sound of the door opening without a knock immediately made Vano switch. No one in his company dared to be so disrespectful.
"You," Vano was surprised.
"I just wanted to come. Can't I?" asked Valdo.
"It's just unusual to see you here. Usually I have to drag you to come here," said Vano casually leaning back in his chair.
"Hm, it's just that, maybe I changed my mind," Valdo seemed unsure.
Before he could answer, there was another knock on the door.
"Just annoying. Come in!" Vano said.
Lexa came in with two cups of coffee. She was contacted by Zoya to deliver two drinks to Vano's office and she just complied. Quite surprised to see a figure that turns out to be familiar.
"You!" luckily the tray didn't fall out of her hand.
"Hey-" the greeting was not complete and Lexa hastily put down the tray and went to hold Valdo's arm out of the room.
Lexa's confused and surprised look is certainly attached to the figure. Vano even looked at them with a little anger. Meanwhile, four of Vano's trusted employees also stared with their mouths agape. How can she hold Vano's brother like that. Yes he is Valdo Orlando Lycaon. The younger brother of the owner of the Gold Lycaon company. In fact, he is the second highest shareholder after his brother in the company. Everyone in the company knew who he was, except for Lexa.
The girl took Valdo's hand until they entered the room.
"Why are you here?" Lexa asked confused.
"I was looking for you. How lucky you came to meet me," Valdo smiled innocently.
"Seeing me? I'm still working! And if you're really looking for me, why are you in Mr. Vano's room?" Lexa kept talking.
"Mister? Hahaha. You call him like that? He's a bitch, isn't he?" Valdo's light laugh.
Lexa hit his arm pretty hard, "Don't be careless! I've only worked here for two days! I don't want to be fired!"
"Don't worry. No one will fire you," Valdo smiled again.
Suddenly the sound of rumbling feet with high heels came and just walked into their room. Zoya and Nola just glared at seeing Valdo in a room that was not supposed to be with a lowly employee who desperately grabbed his hand.
"What are you doing! You just left Mr. Vano's room and pulled Mr. Valdo like that?" Zoya was already nagging with both hands perched on her waist.
"Mister Valdo?" Lexa of course did not understand.
"What are you doing? He, hm, I mean this is Mr. Valdo. Mr. Vano's younger brother. Don't you understand? The Lycaon brothers own this company? Vano Orazio Lycaon and Valdo Orlando Lycaon?" Nola emphasized in a half-whisper.
"Good grief...!" somehow Lexa's feelings are mixed this time. How could she miss that one.
"What are you waiting for! Hurry back to Mr. Vano's room!" Zoya half snapped.
"Why are you angry like that? I really came here to meet Lexa. You better get back to work. Let me talk to Vano," Valdo spoke up.
Like hypnotized, Nola and Zoya immediately returned to their desks despite the many questions swirling in their minds. While Lexa was still glued and scared. The only thing that was possible was that she would be fired because of her own fault for not recognizing Valdo's true figure.
"I-I'm sorry, Sir. I don't know anything about your real identity," Lexa apologized immediately.
"No need for that. Let's sit down first. I'll tell you a little about me," said Valdo at that time and of course Lexa complied.
"I'm that Valdo. I'm also the owner of this company. Actually I really don't want to work here even though I've graduated from school. I just feel like this isn't what I want. Actually, my relationship with Vano is not very good. Just a little family problem. ," Vano said briefly.
"Hm, then what are you here for?" asked Lexa again.
"Didn't I tell you I was coming to visit you? I'm just doing it right now. Isn't that right?" asked Valdo with his handsome smile.
"Hm, n-no, you can't. Still, it's working hours. Mr. Vano can get angry if I just stay here and chat," Lexa hesitated to say.
"With the owner of the company right?" Valdo strengthened his position.
"Yes, it's up to you, but please tell Mr. Vano not to fire me because of this," said Lexa carefully.
Without saying much, Valdo returned to meet Vano. He felt responsible for causing chaos and misunderstanding today. He was quite relieved to be able to meet Lexa this time. Jasper, Javier, Zoya, and Nola returned their salute as their young master walked over with a gleeful smile. Vano the older brother pointed at Valdo when his younger brother entered the room.
"How did you get to know that new employee?" investigate the man.
"She's my friend, and I suggest you to be nice to her," said Valdo easily pulling a chair and sitting there.
"You're asking me to be nice to a girl like that? What's wrong? You've known her for a long time?" Vano was very curious.
"Hm... how do I say it? Let's just say I'm interested in her," Valdo crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"You're attracted to a girl like that? Did I hear you right?" Vano was surprised this time.
"Yes, your hearing is still quite good," Valdo half mocked.
"But why?" asked Vano wanting to know more.
"Does there have to be a reason to like someone?" Valdo asked back with a smirk on his face.
Vano smiled back, "then it's a shame because you love the wrong girl."
