After such immense pain Fedyenka finally got some relief. She rose from the bed and looked toward the balcony of the room. The room indeed was a luxury itself. Even though everything was fine, she felt like something is sharp is her mouth. No, there are two sharp teeth in her mouth like a monster. At least her mouth could cover it.
Someone knocked on the door saying, "Miss Balandin, are you awake?"
"Yeah...Coming."
She opened the door and noticed that there was someone in the dress of a maid waiting for her.
"Miss Balandin, have you slept too late again reading that science fiction book?"
She was confused for a moment. Her face was pale. The maid realized that Miss Balandin has seen something comparable to a nightmare. The maid asked her if she has seen any nightmare. She replied with a "No"
"My Lady, do you need anything? Maybe you should go and get yourself ready. Their Highnesses are waiting for you in the dining room."
"Yeah, I'm going" said Miss Balandin with an unsure face. She suddenly remembered that her first name is Fedyenka and she has a big brother named Felix Balandin. She lives in a Palace which has a hundred maids and in total of three hundred servants. Her father is Oleg Balandin and her mother is Maria Balandin . Her Father is the King of a Vampire ruled nation. For some reason she felt weird. There was still the weird pain in her head.
After pondering about it a while more she heard the maid telling her that she should get ready again. She got in her senses and got ready to accompany her family. She went downstairs and found her family and servants welcoming her to the table. She greeted them with her royalty as if it's her instincts.
"Hm...I wonder why my little sister took so long to get ready to eat that my stomach is filled with a burning pain now." said Prince Felix with a slightly angry face.
"Ha ha, doesn't she always do it? You can't blame her on her fondness of books. Now come my dear, I bet you're starving like your brother as well after such a long night. It's winter after all." said King Oleg.
"Yes father." said Fedyenka while nodding a bit.
While they were eating their fill, The Queen rose a topic about certain relics being made in their kingdom that can store blood for decades and keep it fresh.
Both Fedyenka and her brother knew that it was a complete misinformation by their mother's facial expression. Their father jokingly replied, "Well, then maybe even our great grandchildren can taste the same blood we taste."
The Princess began to think what could it possibly be used to store?
"Father, we are in a civilized era now, no one drinks blood. Aren't there much better things to cover our iron deficiency?"
Fedyenka didn't pay any attention to the lame puns of the royal family. "What is so interesting in those lame puns anyway?" thought the Princess. After their breakfast, the King told them that there was an invitation by the Twenty Leaders of Humanos Sabios. The letter said that there will be a valuable relic which will be shown only once before it's sealed forever. Leaders from all countries are invited to see it for a bit with their own eyes.
"When will it begin?" asked the Queen.
"Tonight at 8 PM. We have to prepare for it. I don't know about others but I am indeed really interested in that relic. I wonder what it's used for." said the King.
"Well if it's gonna be sealed forever then what's the point knowing the use of it?" said Fedyenka.
"Mind your words dear, you have royal blood. You must act like one of us." said the Queen with a stern face.
"Mother, she nonetheless acts like one in the public. Perhaps we should spare her a little." said the Prince.
After a family friendly conversation, everyone was once again busy like everyday with their works, as a royal family should be. Even though going to many parties and receiving invitations sound fun, it's main goal is to keep a connection and make alliance to take advantage when needed. All these are somehow known facts to Fedyenka.
While Fedyenka was off to the Duke's house to spend some time with his daughter, she kept feeling a sudden pain in her head and kept getting flashbacks. Flashbacks of blurry memories that she cannot recall no matter what. After riding the royal carriage for a while they reached their destination. Seeing her like that, the Duke's daughter Veronica asked her about her well being. The princess gracefully ignored Veronica's question saying, " Thank you for your concern. I might have slept less than usual last night. Please don't get yourself worried my dear friend."
Even though Veronica understood that Fedyenka was trying to ignore it she assured her that she is not worried about it anymore. There still lied a doubtful face on the tea cup Veronica held. Fedyenka left the house with her brother after they both gently greeted Veronica. Veronica's bodyguard asked, "Miss Spencer, is there anything that you feel a lack of? I will fill it if it's within my reach."
"There is nothing like that Mr. Lawson."
"I see. Perhaps, it is something of your own personal matter. I will not dwell into it anymore."
Fedyenka has finally reached her palace. After reaching it, her maids prepared another dress in black and red for her which seemed suitable for a big event like that. Wearing the crimson red dress with her jet black hair braided like a bun, she went to the party with her family riding a flying carriage which had two dragons making it fly. The carriage itself had a pair of wings that was activated when the dragons started flying. The pair of dragons are called Chyervonigons for their dark red color. The has a bit of black on them too.
After reaching the grand palace of the Twenty Leaders of Humanos Sabios, they were greeted in the best way the palace could ever greet a guest. There were roses on the ground. Reporters were trying to get an interview. While The King was being praised in the party as well as being complimented for having such elegant black hair, Fedyenka and her brother were planning something mischievous or rather dangerous. The wanted to touch the relic a little. Little did they know, it was made of silver.
After the clock dinged at 8, the relic was being showed on the top of a trolley covered by a square shaped glass. Fedyenka and Felix were standing close to the relic to see it closely. Suddenly there entered a person in a red and black dress which hid their whole body. None could even notify whether the person was a male or female or if they carried any weapon. In all of a sudden, the person pulled an axe from nowhere and broke the glass and took the relic in the blink of an eye. Accidently, the person also injured the prince's right arm a little when the Prince pulled his sister away from that mystery man. Then the person left.
A part of Felix's silk white hair was covered in his blood which came out of his arm. Fedyenka was both worried and got more and more curious about the relic. After such fatal incident it was announced that everyone is going to be quarantined in that palace. It was said that before the culprit or the culprit's leader is found no one is allowed to leave. At that moment, one of the Twenty leaders who was present as well as the ones from the other sixteen nations, looked at King Oleg in a dubious way. Prince Felix was taken to the medical faculty while the oldest of the twenty leaders told everyone that there will be a meeting right now and every kings and queens from each nation must get ready for it.
Fedyenka and her mother already knew that their King is the one they are suspecting. They shared a glance and then the queen told Fedyenka that there is no need for her to stay here. She should summon a maid of her own and get a room to sleep. Fedyenka nodded while she was in deep thoughts. She called one of her maids and went to a room which was on the ground floor.
Even though it seemed weird for a princess to chose such a room, the maid left without asking any question or giving any chance for the human maid to ask any. After she was in her room she closely observed if the room had any traps or anything that can be harmful to Vampires. She found that the pillow was sown by silver made wools and had breads in the room made of garlic which contained sulfenic acids more than normal ones. Maybe it was hybrid. She knew it the moment she tasted it a bit. Her mouth was burning. She kept feeling a discomfort in her stomach. Soon after she laid herself down on the floor.
