When she saw the letter and the coat she was frightened. She heard someone coming. In an instant, she hid under the stairs of the room taking her bat form. She could hear the woman's voice getting more and more clear. Soon, she realized that it was no other but Sabia Third.
Sabia Third entered the part of the hall with Sabio Second. It was clear to Fedyenka that the hall has two parts because they were heading upwards by the stairs from a way that leads underground.
"Yes Sabio Second, I have taken care of everything." said Sabia Third
"Oh...please don't call me that again. It makes me feel distant."
"You are so...Oh my god, how can I even explain."
"You are older than me so you indeed have more knowledge than me to explain this. But in front of love, even a billion Dhahab book seems worthless isn't it?"
"Yes it is..."
Fedyenka smiled and thought that she can show this soap opera to Sabio tenth and find a way to gather information and proofs about the dirty works they are doing.
"So, have you figured out how we can use this?"
"I still haven't"
When Sabio Second heard that their plans haven't made any progress, he looked away from Charlotte and gave an unhappy glimpse. Then he looked to Charlotte's face again and said,
"It's okay, my darling. I'm sure we will get to know about it soon."
"I'm sorry. I will get some words out of the Princess's mouth next time. Even if she doesn't know anything, we'll get some leads."
"Charlotte, don't just think about the Princess. You are dwelling on her matters too much. We have to make something happen. Try getting some words out of the Prince's mouth. Ah, I almost forgot. Take this."
Sabio Second lends over a golden colored ball.
"What is this?" said Sabia Third.
"It's the key to the relic. The vault of Sabio First's Palace has a hidden part with it. I was the one who made the vault so I made some parts for myself."
"But, it's in Sabio First's Palace. He's the King. How can I do this without getting caught?"
"You are special my dear. Don't lose heart. I know you can do this. Didn't you say you would do anything for me?" said Sabio Second as he gets closer to Sabia Third.
"Alright...I will do my best. I'll need some help though."
"You can ask Sabia Fourth. She is the one Sabio First adores the most beside his dead daughter. Be careful about your words with her though, she is as sly as a fox like the blood sucker Princess."
Fedyenka was pumped with anger the moment he called her blood sucker. She still calmed herself down thinking that barking dogs seldom bites, one should ignore them.
"Goodbye" said Sabio Second as he kisses on Sabia Third's forehead.
Seeing that, Fedyenka felt disgusted. She stared at it as if it was a dumpster of trash.
Sabio Second was getting close to the stairs Fedyenka was hiding behind. Sabio second stopped a little. It made Fedyenka's heart dry. She thought that it is the end for her. Still she kept herself quiet.
"*sniff* Can you smell something burning, Charlotte?"
"Oh dear, I forgot to turn the stove off." saying that, Charlotte went downstairs whilst, Sabio Second went upstairs smiling like a devil.
Fedyenka started exploring the hall a bit more after both of them left, in her bat form. She found a door somewhere in the hall. There was a signboard saying "Do not enter". She got back to her original form, opened the door and went inside anyway. Her heart stopped for a little when she got inside and opened the door. There was an incredibly long skeleton lying on a long bed. Before going any further she observed the room a little. After looking up she saw a huge blade hanged with something really thin yet strong. She saw that the thin thread is also down in the room, attached with something. She figured that it's a guillotine made by someone to cut whoever trespasses the room. She avoided the thread and slowly went closer to the bed where the giant skeleton was lying.
The skeleton wasn't the only thing in the dark room that piqued Fedyenka's interest. There were also dozens of books that had no cover and a book so large that it extended Fedyenka's human form. She went closer to the book and saw that the book was written in Middle-Eastern language, Arabic. During that era, everyone mostly spoke in Arabic in that area. Fedyenka remembered that she has always been a fond of knowing new languages and that she knows how to read and speak Arabic. She was bemused, because she didn't remember any of those before. She opened the giant book and found out that it was a diary. She went to the last page and found a piece of paper. She opened it to see what's inside. She found a map and the last page said something,
"Humans are puny little creatures. Yet, they are the most terrifying ones. They are modifying themselves. They has to die or else mother nature and us, both will go in flames."
She couldn't understand most of the thing said in the diary. But she did understand one thing. No matter what you are- a giant or a puny human, intelligence and power can make one the giant of all being. She checked the previous page of the book and it said,
"Humans have more working brain than any creature. They can imagine and see something called, 'dreams'. My daughter heard about it from me and now she's suffering from inferiority complex. Maybe we will go extinct and get killed. I heard they have made something called atom bomb which can blow off a country in a second. We giants are doomed."
Seeing that, Fedyenka closed the diary and took the paper in her pocket. Soon after, she heard someone opening the door. In a moment she turned into a bat again and hid in the dirty curtains.
"Fedyenka! Ha ha...I know you are here sweetheart. Come out!" said Sabia Third while laughing out loud. Fedyenka got her guards up and came out with courage. She got in front of Sabia Third and said,
"I knew you were plotting something."
"And...you fell for it. Do you have anything to tell me my Dear Highness?"
"You've been acting like a total menace to me the whole time, did you really think that I 'fell' for it?"
"Oh? Do you really have any tricks up your sleeves?"
"I don't play tricks. I was just going to remind you something Aunt Charlotte. Just like how you told me yesterday, "it makes me feel distant." your fake lover has told you the same thing didn't he? Your words are one of the most cordial ones I've ever heard. Only if you were like this on the inside."
"*sigh* And there I thought, I can play Aunt Charlotte a while more." Saying this, she threw the chain at her whilst Fedyenka dodged each of her slashes.
"How long are you going to dodge, my Princess? You'll run out of stamina in no time."
"You know that he's using you, then why?"
When Sabia Third heard that, she got filled up with rage and unleashed a powerful strike with her chain which electrocuted Fedyenka. She fell on the ground being badly injured.
"Mind your business, Princess." said Sabia Third.
"Well, killing me is the only choice you have now. Go on do it."
"No, honey. I'll do a better use of you. You will get some words out of your brother's mouth about the relic."
"Oh, him? Well, here's the thing, we'll never tell you even if we die."
"You bloody Vampires disgust me. Those sharp things in your mouth makes you look like a scavenger."
"And that act of yours is making you look like an emotional lovesick chick."
Hearing that, Sabia Third was raged up and told her that she is going to bring her brother. She electrocuted her again with low volt so she won't die and just stay unconscious. The electrocution wasn't enough to make her unconscious but she heard some weird noise again. She felt so weak that she fell on the ground. She vomited and after a while she heard the beeping noise again along with other noises. She heard some people's voice then after a while she woke up. She looked out from the curtains and found out that she's been sleeping there for three minutes.
She left the map where it was. Then she opened the window by force and flew to the small house she met Kristen at. After a while, she saw Sabio Tenth having a chat with Sabia Third from the sky while flying. She checked the bushes if it had any traps then she hid in it.
"What do you mean, Sabia Third? Where could the map go?" asked Sabio Tenth.
"I don't know. Maybe someone has stolen it."
"Who could it be? I hate to say this but, it was in your custody. How did you let this happen..."
"Maybe I shouldn't have trusted the Princess too much."
"What do you mean, Sabia Third?"
"Oh, don't mind me. I have to go to Prince Felix's room now. Her sister's been worrying about him."
"You are a really kind woman. By the way, why did you say that you sh-"
"Please don't mind me. I'll be leaving. She is just a kid."
"Do you think that she stole it?"
"Well I saw her in the hall of giants. She escaped though."
Right at the moment, Fedyenka figured that she has fallen into Sabio Second's trap.
