"Dianne!" Alexis yelled as she barged through the door of Amarr's room in the evening.
She had spent the entire day with Emanie and now she was back in the dorm ready to tell Dianne she got invited to the party.
She couldn't wait to see the look on Dianne's face when she breaks the news.
Well, Dianne wasn't in the room and she got awkward stares from Amarr, Wayne and Blake who were in the room.
"These girls don't even bother knocking anymore" Blake said still staring at Alexis.
"Whatever" Alexis began, shutting the door behind her. "Where's Dianne, I've got a surprise for her" she added
"She lost rock paper scissors so she went to get us snacks for the movie" Wayne replied.
"What movie?" She questioned with furrowed eyebrows.
"We're about to watch a movie on Blake's computer" Amarr replied.
"Oh, sounds nice, I'm in" She said walking towards Amarr's bed to take her sit.
"We planned to stay up all night watching movies and playing games" Wayne told her.
"When did we plan this?" She questioned
"Yesterday" Amarr replied "we planned so many activities to make the best of today and tomorrow since we rarely get breaks" he continued with focused eye contact. "Then you disappeared, where have you been all day?" He questioned.
"Uh..." Alexis began, racking her brain trying to figure out what to say. Something that didn't sound stupid.
Somehow she didn't feel comfortable telling Amarr she was with Emanie all day. Especially when he kissed her. She had thought about the kiss and realized how stupid she reacted to it. She felt like she under reacted and she knew that could give Emanie the confidence to do anything and get away with it. She felt extremely stupid.
She couldn't even imagine how weird it would sound to Amarr that she was out all day with the guy he warned her about. So when he asked her where she had been all day, her heart jumped.
"What's the big surprise you have for Dianne?" Blake questioned, snapping Alexis out of her thoughts.
"It's about the October party" she replied.
'phew' she thought. Blake definitely saved her.
"Oh jeez" Amarr rolled his eyes.
"What about the party?" Wayne questioned.
"Yesterday, Dianne was so excited the party was coming up this weekend but then Amarr crushed her by telling her there was no way she could get in cuz Emanie would probably be in charge" Alexis began.
"Yeah, that's so true " Wayne said.
"But then, today I met Emanie and..." She was saying.
"Emanie?" Amarr questioned. "That's where you were all day?"
"What?, No!" Alexis replied sharply. "I just ran into him" she added.
'shit, shit, fuck my life, shit!' She thought. She had just lied to Amarr and she didn't feel so good about it.
"So where were you?" He asked.
"Would you let her finish the story!?" Blake yelled at him. "What happened when you met Emanie?" He asked turning back to Alexis.
Blake was really saving her from telling more lies and feeling even more guilty.
"He invited me to the party" she replied " and then told me I could bring my friends" she continued
"What!?" Wayne began"Dianne is gonna be so happy" he added his face lighting up
"Yeah, it's all she has been talking about" Blake added.
"She's so psyched about it" Amarr said and then turned to face Alexis "I don't think it's such a good idea for you girls to go to that party" he added.
"What why?" Alexis questioned.
"Cavalero!" He shot back.
"What about him?" She asked.
"He's bad news." Amarr began. "The October party gets really wild every year and most times something crazy happens, I can't imagine how it's gonna be with Cavalero running everything" he continued "I don't trust him one bit" he added.
"You know how much Dianne wants this" Blake began. "I mean, I don't know why but you know she would be so happy to go." He added.
"Am I the only one thinking straight?" Amarr questioned.
"No" Wayne began. "The court is going to be packed on Saturday, so many other people are going to be at the party, what could Emanie possibly do?" He asked "you're overthinking this" he added
"Nothing good comes from Emanie" Amarr said and then he sighed. There was a short silence. "Why did he invite Alexis to the party meant for seniors?" He asked raising an eyebrow at both Blake and Wayne. Their eyes widened in realization. "Yeah, think about it" Amarr told them.
"That mf is up to something?" Wayne said.
"Obviously" Amarr replied.
Alexis just sat there staring at the three of them, she was so lost.
"Ok maybe it won't be such a good idea to go to the party" Blake said after thinking about it.
"Yeah" Amarr replied. "We'll find better things to do on Saturday" he said turning to Alexis.
"Ughhhhhhhh" she groaned crashing into the bed. "I hate all of you" she added.
"It's for the best" Wayne told her.
"I was so excited about it" She said, sitting back up to face him.
Blake opened his mouth to say something but before he could push out the word, the door flung open and Dianne stepped in with two bags.
"Heyyyy, you're back" Wayne said with a smile.
Dianne just rolled her eyes and kicked the door shut.
"They were out of almost everything so I just got what I could find" Dianne began walking towards the table to drop the bags.
"So what did you get?" Amarr questioned.
"There was no popcorn so I got chips" Dianne replied pulling out two bags of chips and tossing it onto Wayne's bed. "And they only had one bottle of root beer left" she continued bringing out the root beer and handing it to Blake who took it from her muttering thank you. "So I got three cans of coke and one bottle of diet Pepsi" she added.
"Ew, diet Pepsi?" Wayne questioned squeezing his face in disgust.
"That was all they had" Dianne replied. "Well I'm definitely not getting the Pepsi cuz I went through the trouble of getting all the stuff" she told them. "So the rest of you better decide who's getting it" she continued.
"You bought all of this yourself?" Wayne questioned.
"Yeah of course" Dianne shrugged dipping her hand into her back pocket to slip out a credit card. "Blake here's your credit card" she said stretching the card to him.
Blake's eyes widened and he felt his pockets.
"What are you looking for, this is the card" Dianne said.
"Seriously?" He questioned taking the car from her.
"Yeah" she shrugged.
"Wait, you got something for Alexis?" Amarr questioned. "How did you know she was here?"
"She ran past me" Dianne replied "I screamed her name twice but she was too excited, she didn't hear me" she added. "What were you so happy about?" She asked turning to face Alexis with a tired look on her face.
"Don't..." Amarr was saying.
"We got invited to the party" Alexis told Dianne.
"What!?" Dianne yelled, her eyes widening. "No way!" She exclaimed.
"Shit" Amarr muttered.
"Yeah, we can't go" Alexis told her.
"What? Why not?" Dianne questioned, her excitement immediately disappearing.
"Amarr said Emanie can't be trusted" she replied
"Seriously?" Dianne questioned with raised eyebrows turning to Amarr.
"You really want to go to a party with Cavalero?" Amarr questioned.
"Why not?" She shot back.
"Dianne, think this through" Amarr told her.
"So you're trying to tell me, to turn down an invitation to the biggest party of the year cuz you think Cavalero is a bad person" she said with both eyebrows raised. "Are you kidding me?" She questioned.
"If you ask me, I think it's a really stupid idea to go" Amarr replied.
"Well nobody asked you Amarr" she shot back and sighed. "Alexis and I are definitely going to that party and nothing is going to happen, you're just being paranoid" she said. "Alexis your boyfriend is being paranoid" she added turning to Alexis.
"Hold on, boyfriend?" Blake questioned with furrowed eyebrows.
"Oh jeez" Amarr sighed and he sank into his bed and Dianne smiled.
"I knew it!" Wayne exclaimed. "I knew something was going on" he continued. "Y'all thought you could hide it from us didn't you?" He questioned. "Just as Blake and Dianne thought they could hide theirs from me" He added.
"Whaaat?" Alexis questioned.
"Yup, Blake and Dianne definitely have something going on" Wayne told her.
"Shut up!" Dianne yelled at him.
"Didn't you notice how she gave him the only root beer and how he didn't explode when he found out she stole his credit card?" Wayne questioned.
"Yeah and how he behaves when she's around" Amarr added.
"That's bullshit" Dianne began "you guys are full of shit" she added
"Are we tho?" Amarr questioned sitting up on his bed to face Blake. "Blake say we're lying. Say there's nothing going on with you and Dianne" he said and everybody turned to face Blake.
"Well..." Blake began trying to hold back his smile. Judging from his expression, he didn't really want to say anything but he was forced to cuz everybody was staring at him.
"See, he can't deny it." Amarr said. "They tryna rekindle the light" he continued. "Did I ever tell you they almost had something before?" He questioned turning to face Alexis.
"What do you mean something?" She questioned.
"Think about it" he replied turning away. "Aaaanyways, since we're calling each other out tonight, did y'all know Wayne used to have a crush on Dianne" he questioned.
"Really dude?" Wayne sighed.
"Yeah, the first time he saw Dianne with me, he was like hmmm, she's cute, introduce me and I was like hmmm, okay, so I introduced him" Amarr began. "Then about three days later, he came up to me and told me he didn't like her anymore. When I asked him why, he was like, she's crazy, what if I cheat or something, she gon' kill me and kill all my friends who knew about it, that includes you bro" he explained and everybody laughed, even Wayne "and I'm not even exaggerating this story, those were his exact words" He told them.
"Yeah, I still think she's crazy" Wayne said.
"Blake doesn't seem to think so tho" Alexis said turning to face him.
"I don't" Blake replied with a shrug and Dianne smiled.
"Dianne are you blushing?" Amarr questioned.
"No!" She replied.
"Oh my God Dianne was blushing" Wayne said. "Are you kidding me?" he questioned. "Y'all better figure your shits out cuz you ain't about to make me a fifth wheel" he continued. "I'm gonna leave the gang before that happens" he told them
