It was not proper for a woman of my status to be here. Yet here I was with a man by myself in an apartment. Aron sat on the bed. I sat on his lap as he held me in his arms, shaking. I moved my arms and had him look into my blue eyes.
"I love you" I said and slowly kissed him along his jaw.
"I love you more" Aron says, "so much more."
He brings his lips onto mine if it felt so right. As if nothing else mattered. It was just Aron and I. No war going on. There was no draft to take him away from me.
He lifted me up in the air as my lips found his once again. All my time in New York was all I'd ever wanted. All I needed was because New York held Aron. New York held my love within its city walls that I never knew until it came closer for the draft.
My body hit the fabric of the bed but it was in the back of my mind to stop. I never wanted to stop as his bare shoulders felt warm against my palms.
This couldn't be it. This can't be the end....
