Hattie's soul felt like it wanted to burst out in tears. She felt so hurt by nothing at all. She didn't know the man, yet those eyes stood out to her. She felt the need to get out of here. She wanted to escape and run far away. As far as she could, until she could not run anymore, but she couldn't.
School was supposed to start within two weeks. She got into this school and he was just some guy with Almond-colored eyes.
Deep within her soul, though, she wanted to run to the man and not run away. Deep within her soul, she wanted answers. She herself wanted answers. None of this was logical to Hattie. These dreams meant nothing. They were just normal dreams. The man was just a man who she did not know, living within the same walls paying her for living there. He was just some man. His eyes were just another color. It was normal. Not out of the ordinary to where she wanted to run into his arms, There was no way. No way at all.
Hattie made her way to the fridge, like she had normally planned to. She looked in it but there was nothing really besides containers with people's names in it. She had to find out who she all lived with. At least by tomorrow. She shook her head with the anxious thoughts of seeing the man again. Of also seeing where that voice came from filled her head. Worried thoughts skipped into her head, slowly.
Hattie looked in the pantry and the cabinets. Nothing was hers to take, she reminded herself. She had to control herself despite her stomach. She could go out to eat, which was now definitely something she had to do. It wasn't like she didn't have the money to do so. However, she hated the idea of getting lost, but it didn't seem like she had much of a choice. She didn't know anyone within the city nor within the walls of her building.
Hattie quietly walked back up the stairs to get dressed. She pulled her suitcase over her bed since she hadn't put her clothes within her closet yet. She knew she was going to have to sooner or later though. She just to a point, wanted to wait until later.
Hattie was fully dressed after taking a nice shower in the bathroom that was attached to her room. She opened the door with her purse on her side to see the man with the hazel eyes opening his own door with a woman right behind him. The woman was short. Shorter than Hattie with blonde curly hair and green eyes.
" Not again" the guy groaned, "but hey! You're not supposed to be in there."
"Excuse me?" Hattie blurts out.
"no one is supposed to be in there. That's the rule of the place", the man says.
"You know her?" The girl with blonde hair grabs the man's upper arm to gain his attention.
"not exactly. I ran into her in the kitchen", he explains.
"Look sorry to cut this short but I've got to go" Hattie said, waving her hand in an attempt to leave.
" You're still not supposed to be in there", he says, earning a chuckle from Hattie.
" We'll, I think I am", Hattie said, going down the stairs to get away from the man and the woman. She felt a slight pain in her chest seeing them together. She didn't understand this. This was her reality, right? This isn't just some reality she hopped into. if so, Hattie is totally... Not into reality
