"Today, instead of cooking, I decided to bake cupcakes for the both of you with my special recipe which I haven't used in while. I know you'll love it. Alex used to enjoy it as a kid and would cry any day I didn't bake, it was very tiring but worth it to see my son happy," Mrs Tyler went on and on but despite how much she talked it was fun listening to her.
Earlier, she had insisted that I accompanied her to the kitchen to get everything prepared. I didn't exactly understand what the preparation was for since she already baked the cupcakes before I arrived with Alex.
"Mum," Alex poked his head into the kitchen door for the upteenth time this evening. "Can you let Teddy go now?"
"Can't you just lend her to me for a few minutes? Don't be a grumpy pants."
He facepalmed with a disappointed sigh, "Mum, I'd really love it if you never called me that again, I'm no longer a kid."
