"Yeah. It would be nice to meet your brother and we can all have fun together."
I groaned silently, staring at the ceiling of my room and cursing my hard luck. "Okay, I'll be expecting you then."
It was with much reluctance that I got dressed for the movie — black crop top with blue jeans that reached up to my waist and black high tops — Jimmy had stolen every last bit of vigour I had by his unwelcome presence. I just hoped everything would turn out well.
Jimmy didn't even need to be told to dress up as he was already clad in his ash hoodie and stonewashed baggy jeans. He must have sent Rebecca off as she was no longer in the living room.
He frowned with distaste at my outfit immediately he sighted me downstairs, "How long is this friend going to take. My patience is running thin."
"You know I'd be very glad if you stay back. Besides, Rebecca is already gone."
"Nice try Jen. There's no way I'm letting you be alone with that friend. I'm doing this for Jake's sake and yours."
