I was back in Alex's room, trying to solve some some equations as I sat on his desk but to no avail. Calculus just wasn't ringing right now and all I wanted to do was talk about what happened today. "Y'know the advice you gave me worked perfectly well. Besides calculus, are you also a life coach?"
"I wish. My life isn't that perfect either, I also need a life coach."
"Oh really? What isn't perfect about your life?" I completely packed my books which was lying on the table and faced Alex on the bed with his hands holding his head up.
"I'm an orphan and a single father." He grimaced darkly.
"What?" I shrieked. His mother was right here and he looked very young to be a father but that might be possible considering how many girls would fall for him due to his looks and Mrs Tyler might be his guardian, a very loving one at that.
