The drive quietly passed. I asked a few standard questions about the procedures, but he refused to tell me a lot of things with a quote, "You will find out soon enough."
We finally arrived at the airport, but sir Laks was still as quiet as always. This is my first time being in an airport, so I religiously followed him in everything he did. Occasionally, I would ask him some questions, but it did not go any further than that.
To my surprise, we were already booked on a near-flight. I could not help but admire the preparedness of the Global Alliance University.
"This way," sir Laks said as he guided me to the pass towards the plane. I did not have any luggage and nor did sir Laks, so we easily skipped through a few steps, which was probably for good since our flight was already near.
I could not help but smile after seeing the inside of the plane. I only ever saw it in images or videos, never once in real life. Sir Laks continued to walk through the aisle, passing several curtains. I noticed the change in seats as we went through the plain class by class. Finally, we arrived at the first class.
"We are first class?" I inevitably asked the obvious due to shock and delight.
"Of course. Please get comfortable as I discuss with you what will happen at the university," sir Laks said.
"Contrary to what you are expecting, you are not only going to the Global Alliance University but to the Paragon Class."
"I have never heard of that before."
"That is not a surprise, although it is not confidential, its existence is only known to the students of GAU. This is the most prestigious class you can get into GAU. There are five sections, the Northern Paragon Class, Southern Paragon Class, Eastern Paragon Class, Western Paragon Class, and Central Paragon Class. It symbolizes the unity of the world. You will be placed in the Southern Paragon Class. Your residence, uniform, and everything you could possibly need for class are already arranged. There is also a golden ticket with the logo of Paragon Class on your residence there, a diamond crown on top of a golden bay leaf crown. As long as you have it, your food will be free and you will be able to access all facilities that require a golden ticket."
As long as I have it? Does that mean I can lose it at some point? Hmm?
"The other details will be given by your professor. In the meantime, enjoy the ride," he ended.
Just like he said, I enjoyed the long flight. The flight lasted for almost 12 hours before we finally got to the United States of America, home of the Global Alliance University. After we landed, I immediately asked sir Laks where we are but he refused to answer my question, saying it is unnecessary.
After a series of rides, I am positive that I do not know where we are. Finally, we stopped in front of a beautiful hotel. Sir Laks led me to the parking space and we rode another black car.
Before my eyes, the bustling city filled with buildings and people turned into long roads with nothing in sight. Then, it turned to fields before we finally stopped in front of a mountain range.
"This is?" I asked.
"Wait," he said before looking up. As I followed his gaze, I saw a helicopter coming our way. "Let us go."
He grabbed my hand as I struggle to resist the wind. It is hard to get in a helicopter, that was my conclusion.
I could not help but be amazed by the spectacle before my eyes. In the plane, I mostly saw clouds, but this time, I can clearly see the land from the view of an avian. It is a wonderful sight. As we moved past the mountain, I was gobsmacked.
"It's majestic," I murmured. I could feel sir Laks smiling due to my remark.
"That is the Paragon City. It is where all the five sections of the Paragon Class reside," he explained.
It was a city, indeed. There were trees and plants that stood together with the buildings. It's like a scene from the future. There are also five towering buildings positioned in the center and the other four directions. I assume it is the room of the Paragon Class. This is such an amazing place. From above, I can see very few students for the size of the city wandering around.
A beautiful dormitory then came to view. It was coloured gold and white, making it shine on a bright day. The helicopter soon landed in front of the dorm. I gasped as I saw just how big it was.
"I will lead you to your room," sir Laks said.
