Chapter 5 - Southern Paragon Class

"I am Akihiko, 18. I am the son of the Trade Association CEO," The guy wearing traditional Japanese clothing said. His eyes were very slim, and he had straight and long black hair that beat mine in length. He seemed like a samurai from the past.

"Hailey,18. I am the heiress of the House of Newland. It is nice to meet all of you," She said with a polite nod. I cannot believe that a real princess is actually a classmate of mine. This is just ridiculous. Her long-blue hair was draped on her shoulders. Even without touching it, I know that it is very soft. Although she does not have the allure of Roxanne or the sheer beauty of Dawn, she is still very attractive.

"Hi, I am Shania, 18. I look forward to years together with all of you," she said with a bright smile. Now, this is a person I am going to get along with. She seems like she has an outgoing personality. She is wearing a casual skirt paired with a nice top. Her short-amber hair is also very vibrant.

"Rolly, 18. I like beautiful studying, sports, and beautiful girls, just like everyone here!" he said with a big smile. It did not have a trace of malice, so I can only assume that he is an idiot. It was not just me, everyone else looked at him in a way that suggested, he had gone mad. Well, aside from Dawn, she just let out a small laugh. With his brown hair and childlike eyes, he seems like a common dreamer you will see in the streets.

"I am Zeke, 18. I was the CEO of The Prime Bank, but my father insisted that I come here, so here I am," the man with the eyeglasses said. A CEO, huh? I guess I was right on the money. Now that I look at him, he is actually very handsome. It's just that his hair and eyeglasses cover his face.

"Since everyone has introduced themselves, let us proceed to our agenda. I was given an instruction that there would be a trial of some sort later before dusk. It--" Zeke suddenly stopped after seeing the door open.

There, a man with a toned body walked in. He was tanned, but his skin was still fair. He was about six feet tall, average compared to the rest of the men in the room. His face looks gentle and warm, but it still possesses a certain charisma. He is no doubt inferior to Zeke or even Andrew in terms of looks, but I can't help myself from looking at him.

My interest was piqued more after seeing the way Dawn looked at him. It was not anything special, but she did not really show any interest in anyone besides the man who had just walked in.

"I was told that there was a gathering here for the Southern Paragon Class. Am I interrupting?" he said.

"No, we were just getting started. Why don't you take a seat and introduce yourself," Shania greeted with a welcoming smile.

The man then grabbed the chair near the door and sat in between Dawn and Shania. It was Dawn, him, Shania, Hailey, Zeke, Roxanne, Rolly, Akihiko, Andrew, and then me in a circle.

"Hello, everyone. Aeil, 18. Just your layman," he said with a polite smile.

"As I was saying, there will be a trial before dusk. That is all the information that I have. Even so, I suggest that we formulate a plan," Zeke proposed. The table had divided reactions, some were baffled while others were enthusiastic; then, there is Dawn and Aeil who I couldn't read.

"That's it? Did you call for a meeting about that? We don't even know what will happen," Roxanne sneered.

"I think we can never be too prepared. It would not hurt us to simulate a few scenarios and come up with solutions," Akihiko pointed out.

"I agree with Akihiko. We should be ready for this kind of thing," Hailey seconded.

"We should just see what trials there are. Let us face it head-on, then!" Rolly declared. He really has a straightforward personality.

"Still. Is this everything? I will leave, then," Roxanne said before standing. No one at the table prevented her from doing so. I can really encounter all sorts of people here, what a pain.

"I think I should go too. I will meet the challenge when it happens. It is more fun looking around the city," Rolly added before leaving as well.

"Is there anyone else?" Zeke asked.

"I am on Rolly on this one. Too much thinking will just ruin the mood later," Dawn said with a smile, still.

"I will go as well," Aeil said before looking at Dawn meaningfully. Do they know each other?

"Okay then, it is just us," Zeke started. I began to lean forward and focus on the task at hand. Unlike those guys, I need ample preparation before doing anything. I am not born knowledgeable, after all.
