Mark? That is Mark. I did not notice him get there. What a clever play of him to act like a hero.
"Are you even a man?! You did not even have the guts to protect this lady right here?" Mark remarked.
"It is like watching a soap opera come to life. Fine, let us pretend you did not set this up," Aeil said. He then turned to Dawn and knelt on one knee before bowing his head and saying, "Oh, the great princess whose purity is unmatched. Forgive this lowly knight for he failed to protect your majesty."
The only thing thicker than the sarcasm Aeil used there was the embarrassment I have for Mark and his crew. I can clearly see Dawn shaking slightly as she put her hand over her mouth and prevented her laughter. Then, she pointed at the window of the building in front of her.
Mark and his crew immediately looked at it. There, they saw how stupid they were.
"Dude, come on. You must have thought at some point that this was not a good idea," Aeil said with a small smile that prevented his laughter. Mark is already red in anger and is about to burst. I think Dawn noticed it too, so she pulled Aeil's sleeve to signal that they should leave.
I should probably go too.
That damned rascals! How dare they humiliate me like that! Unbelievable! That b*tch and that ugly-a*s raccoon! Damn them! Curse them all! I should have not gone through that plan! It is these idiots' fault!
"You! Look at what you two did! You embarrassed me yet again! You are incompetent fools! Leave!"
I can see the terrified looks on their faces, but I could not care less about them at the moment. Agh! Those damned buffoons!
The meeting finally finished. It turned out to be a waste of time. Ugh! I came out as dumb as I was when I came in. Nevertheless, I got closer to Akihiko and Hailey. Knowing a few more people wouldn't hurt.
I was still bust contemplating when the sirens around Paragon City rang. A feminine voice echoed throughout the city, "Paragon Class students, gather at your respective dormitories."
It did not repeat itself. It was different from the other type of notifications. Normally, they would repeat themselves three times to be understood. It seems like, this is a warning that the future would not be kind. Miss it once, miss it for life.
I quickly headed to the dormitory in fear of being left behind. On my way, I saw Mark cracking his knuckles. His two lackeys are no longer with him, huh? I wonder what happened? Are they not from the Southern Paragon Class? Maybe.
To avoid confrontation, I slowly walked a distance behind him. His pace was slow and he was visibly angry. Is he still sulking about what Dawn said earlier? What a baby.
"Hi, Thea," Andrew greeted me after catching up to me.
"Hi, was the meeting worthwhile for you?"
Did he gain any information from it? Am I just dumb?
"Hahaha, not really. There is just no sufficient information regarding the trial," he said with a sigh.
Thank you. It was not just me. After chatting with him for a while, we finally reached the dormitory. There, a lot of unfamiliar faces welcomed us. However, there were still a few old ones like Dawn, Aeil, Roxanne, and that pig Mark. There are 11 of them already waiting in front of the dorm. Add me and Andrew, that is 13. Zeke, Akihiko, Hailey, Shania, and Rolly, make it 18. I only counted 10 rooms on the second floor, hmm? Maybe the rest will go to the third floor. What did sir Laks mean by assigning the rooms then? Are the quality of the rooms different?
Not long after, the rest of the people involved in the meeting arrived. Another girl did as well, making us 19.
Well, powder me in sugar and call me a donut! Who is that prince there? Look at that long golden hair, that flawless skin. His body too! He is so ripped! Damn! He is beyond handsome as well. This is basically my light and shining armor fantasy. He looks kind too.
I could not help but fan over his looks as he walked toward our group. Is he smiling at me? Probably not. As I looked carefully, he was actually staring at Dawn. Of course, he is. But, they are perfect for each other. Alas, the food had just arrived, but there is already none left for me.
After the twenty of us had gathered, a lady wearing a beautiful dark blue long gown. It was a tube top and had a slit on the leg which showcased the beautiful curves of the lady. Although she looked young, she is older than all of us.
"Good afternoon, students. I am Ella, your dormitory supervisor. As such, I will be hosting the trial. You are all smart lads, so you have probably figured out a thing or two about the Paragon Class. However, let me just emphasize what you will be fighting for. On the second floor of that dormitory behind you, there are ten bedrooms. One kitchen, one living room, one closet, one bath, and one bed. There are twenty of you here, and all must have rooms. Now, I should not have to tell you this, but you will share a room with someone. What you might not know, though, is that we are going to train you to put up with uncomfortable situations. You must learn to deal with daily trouble even inside your 'house.' Therefore, the two people who will be sharing a room must be of opposite genders."
Say what!?!?
