Cat, who had been playing joy in bed for days, had woken up early in the morning. She said that even though she had already recovered, she still felt sluggish to enjoy the room and bed. Cat pushed the covers aside and hung her feet from the bed wearily. For the first time in her life, she feel herself as lazy. Cat jumped off her feet and stood in front of her full-length mirror. She wore a long white nightgown with her long black hair scattered over her shoulders. It was the first time Cat saw herself in a full-length mirror. She looked at himself for a long time, then shook his head,
"Don't be silly Cat, wake up, remember your purpose,"
she said, and quickly got dressed.
She would go downstairs to help the kitchen today. Cat took one last look at herself. After deciding that she looked good, she went downstairs.
Rose was turning the bacon that was frying in the pan.
"Ian, can you go to the barn and get me eggs?"
After Ian left the wood in his lap by the fireplace and rubbed his hands together, he was heading for the door when Cat came in.
"Cat, you look healthier than ever today,"
said Rose, placing the pork roast on the table. Cat smiled at her.
"Yes, Rose, I feel better today," she said.
Ian, who was going to the barn at the time, said,
"Ian, I'll go get the eggs instead of you," and came out of the kitchen, swinging her skirts.
Andrew got up early this morning and went for a little stroll. After handing over his horse to the horse keeper, he was heading towards the mansion when the voices and sights he heard when he came in front of the barn pinned him to where he was. Cat had her hands on her hips and got into an argument with the chickens who didn't want to get off the eggs. She was trying to persuade the chicken that was flapping its wings.
"Look, I'm just going to bother you a little bit and get your eggs," she said.
As she extended his hand and the chicken pecked at her wrist, an "Ahh" sound was heard. Even though Cat had managed to pull her hand free, she hadn't given up on the idea of getting the eggs. Although she had faced many dangers before, she did not know how to deal with such a stubborn chicken. Cat got into an argument with the chicken again when Andrew couldn't stand the sight any longer and burst out laughing. Hearing Andrew's mocking laughter, Cat quickly turned around. She would be embarrassed, her face was red.
"You don't need to ask permission from the chickens," Andrew said, walking towards her. " That's it.."
Andrew stretched out his hand and easily took three eggs from under the hen. He hadn't even tried to attack Andrew the vicious chicken by attacking Cat just now. Cat looked great with her messy hair and angry face.
"I don't think you've ever been in a coop before."
"No," Cat replied shortly. "I don't really like chickens," she added.
Andrew gave a small laugh. Cat sensed something different about him today. Andrew Edward Winchester, 5th Duke of Waveshire was smiling at him. It was like he was joking with her. It wasn't the first time his eyes were lost in the cold gaze. Cat didn't know how she wanted him to feel towards her. Andrew handed Cat the eggs.
"Here we go," he said. Cat took the eggs at speeds and put them in her basket, and the two of them left the barn.
Rose was facing the door when the two of them entered the kitchen together, but guessing it was Cat, she said,
"Thank God."
"If you don't want to eat burnt bacon, just sit down at the table and I'll cook the eggs in the meantime." Cat coughed lightly and turned around. "Mr. Andrew," she said, her voice unable to hide her surprise. It was not uncommon for Andrew to visit the kitchen until now.
Andrew said, "Rose, go about your business, make me a coffee, and don't forget to send me some of those burnt bacon."
Rose had a hard time understanding at first that Mr. Andrew was joking.
"Well, my lord," she said.
Everyone in the kitchen squealed as Andrew hurried through the kitchen.
"We met in the haystack," Cat said, clearly feeling the need.
Ian was at the stove buying himself coffee. She turned to look at Cat and Rose.
"Mr. Andrew looks really changed, doesn't he, Rose," he said.
Rose was nervous. "I guess" was all she said. Cat had already realized that Andrew was distant and cold. It would be very difficult to reach this man and gain his trust. After Rose had prepared Andrew's breakfast, "Cat, will you take breakfast?" Said. Cat took your breakfast tray and went upstairs.
Cat had spent the entire afternoon washing the dishes, moving wood, and helping Rose with the housework. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the afternoon. She had dinner with Rose when she took a break from work at noon. Remodeled the kitchen. She stood in the middle of the kitchen and looked around with great pleasure. But the hours were not passing.
"You did wonders today," said Rose.
"Now that our business is gone, she can enjoy the rest of the day by lazing around."
Cat's mind was still on Andrew. While she was thinking this, Ian entered.
"Cat Mr. Andrew is waiting for you in the study," he said.
Cat had jumped up before Ian had even finished speaking. Rose and Ian looked at each other. "This is not a good sign," said Rose with worried eyes. Ian nodded at him.
Andrew was sitting on his desk with all his coldness when Cat walked in.
"Mary, come sit down, today is the first day of class," she said.
Cat sat down where he was pointing, and Andrew began to introduce the letters to her. It was pretty easy for Cat to pretend to be a girl who knows nothing. He has done many roles before. That was one of the things he learned as Lori. They had spent over an hour alone with Mr. Andrew. Thinking that she was tired, Andrew said, "Mary, that's enough for today. We'll continue tomorrow. Frankly, I had no hope for you, but you learn pretty well."
"I can't be so grateful to you, Mr. Andrew," Cat said with a fake smile on her face.
Andrew was quite happy that the girl was willing to study.
"I made a promise, Mary."
Cat wondered if he knew what this man would do if he kept his word. When Cat left the room, she had to do it, even though she wasn't happy with Mr. Andrew's deception. He reminded himself of that whenever he was going through the plan.
