Chapter 5 - Vincent Vildar-1

Vincent's POV

I indifferently looked at those guards and leisurely stood up from the ground…

I reached out my hand to pull that feisty girl up by her arm, then coiled my other around her lower back, instantly hoisting up her in a quick motion and then felt her slender legs wrapping around my waist. Tsk… any lower and I can only imagine the consequences.

But I cannot guess where she gets that attitude of hers from. She was actually being sarcastic with me, he snorted internally.

I summoned my wings and swiftly flew up into the night sky.

She was so light unlike any military weights that I have ever carried for my training, she squeaked in a low voice when we took off, it kind of amused me. then, I saw her tilting her head to a side and witnessed her big and bright golden eyes staring at the starry night sky.

I quickly landed on the balcony of my guest room and let the burden hanging on me fall freely on the ground… it wasn't a free ride.

If I start to think about what happened earlier Today, that girl was obviously a feral, a beautiful girl at that, she should not be feral, huh, what a pity... but as I was saying, how can she be within the Silfa castle walls, isn't the protective barrier around this castle very strong. & Incidentally, most of the cases related to ferals also happened in Silfa territory. It is either related to Silfa or someone is targeting Silfa, but either way, everything surely isn't right in Alecia.

It isn't just the ferals that disturbs me, but the multiple small reports related to strange weather occurrences and the strange sea pattern reported by commoners in my territory of Vildar.

"Hey, what do you want?", I heard the incessantly loud scream of the nearly forgotten girl behind me. It almost made me deaf. Are all girls so loud like her…

"Why did you bring me here", she continued shouting, as she followed me in.

"What, did I ruin any of your plans for a little escapade? But first you to tell me one thing, how do you explain that smell of blood coming from you? Don't say it is your women thing because I can tell." I said to her as I leaned to my side on the chaise longue.

" What benefit would it bring you to know what I was doing; ok, I am just a girl, frustrated from my family's repeated attempts for my arranged marriage and I have a lover, I want to go away with him. So, I got into scuffle with my guard, whom I knocked out successfully while running away and hence, the blood." She said while trying to sound pitiful.

"Okay, let us believe that it was a revolutionary romantic cause, but you really know your way well through that place for someone who is dressed as a sultanate guest & has no accent whatsoever.", I replied.

"My dear girl, you can keep your excuses to yourself, I don't have time for your nonsense, what I want to offer you is a proposition" I said as I looked at those sharp eyes staring at me. I stood up and slowly walked toward her.

"Also, I don't like it when people lie to me."
