Vincent appreciated her nimble movements, as he gestured her to take seat. Then he picked up the floral crystal kettle.
"Here, drink some tea with me.", Vincent said as he poured the freshly brewed green tea into the cups, his long finger held the kettle lid with complete poise and posture, it looked especially pleasing to eyes.
'Does he play any sort of instrument, it would be waste not to', Astrid thought to herself.
Astrid picked up the cup and gently took a sip, as she said, "Hmm, cinnamon and cardamon.". She took another sip and asked, "So, what were you going to tell me."
"I just wanted to ask you, if you found your legs?", his sarcastic words opened the windows to the memories of her drunken state from last night, she tried to maintain her poker face, but her ears turned red to naked eyes due to the embarrassment she had to suffer in front of this man.
Vincent hooked up corner of his lips in a victorious smile, he knew, he had successfully provoked this wild girl in front of him, while he continued to observe the hateful look of the girl who gritted her jaw as if the next second, she would jump to bite his head off. But he immediately went back to his serious look and calm took a sip of his tea.
He took a deep look at the floating tea leaves for a few moments and lifted his head to look at Astrid.
"Your eyes are golden like any Silfian highborn but why are your hair color Silver, this is a characteristic of pureblood linage from the other side. Tell me who are you.", Vincent asked with a grim voice.
Astrid was shocked by his sudden question and her pale complexion turned even paler. She had made sure to keep her hair hidden, but a glass of wine can really ruin a person's life. She took a long breadth to calm herself.
"Even if I were to tell you, you would never believe it. Why waste my breadth.", she said defensively
"Try me or I have many ways to make you speak", Vincent spoke in a low voice.
"You can try", she retorted with firmness. "And you are the Lord of Vildar, why do you have to care about what happens in Silfa, it is none of your concern." She continued.
"Darling, sometimes someone has to care when everybody else doesn't", he said.
She couldn't help but admire his conscience for a moment, just a moment after all he was the one who trapped her here. No matter how high sounding it was, it couldn't change those facts.
"You can choose to not tell me, but you are not escaping from me until I am sure you are not a threat to us. and Now that everyone knows that I brought a female into my room last night and she cannot just disappear. So, you would have to go to the ball with me tonight. But don't try anything stupid. And we would have to do something about your hair." Vincent spoke in commanding tone.
'As if she was his servant' Astrid sneered internally. But the gears in her mind turned fast and she looked at those incomprehensible amethyst eyes with a sly glint in her eyes.
"Ok, lets make a deal, I will act as a smoke screen for you to cover yourself up while you would help me get out of this damned castle, to be more precise Silfa." Astrid offered.
