"W-What?" Teran asked with a completely befuddled expression on his face,
"Wine," was all the reply he got, as he quickly did as he was asked, fetching a glass and a bottle of wine from the wine rack in the bar.
As slowly as he could, he poured it into a glass, before gently moving closer to the sofa, the masked guest was sitting, to offer it to him.
"What's your name?" Teran heard him ask as he passed the wine glass over,
"Teran," he quickly replied, waiting for the glass cup to be taken away from his hands only to watch the masked man do no such thing,
"Teran…how about drinking the wine first?" he said not once taking his eyes away from the hotel attendant in front of him who seemed to permanently have a confused expression on his face.
His blond hair scattered on his head and pointed in various directions, as he looked at him with vastly innocent eyes, that would have convinced anyone but K of how good a person he was.
Which was another reason why Kahan found it hard to trust anything he did.
"W-what?" Teran asked, finding it hard to believe the words that was coming out of the mouth of the important guest sitting in front of him,
"I can't do that," Teran boldly replied, " It's against hotel policy to drink while on duty,"
"Well, what do you think would happen if I called the overall manager to complain about your terrible services?"
"The hotel wouldn't hesitate to fire you, now would they? And you would still lose your job," he informed him a little impatiently, his eyes darting once in a while to the wall clock above the bed.
His midnight meeting was supposed to be at ten, but it was already ten minutes past ten without hearing back from anyone which meant that Manny had been right and the meeting had indeed been a trap.
"Drink," Kahan ordered in a more commanding and cruel tone that instantly made Teran jerk a little with the glass of wine in his hands, with him managing to spill some on the ground.
Still, he raised it to his lips and took a big gulp. He was just about to lower the cup and get another one to offer the masked guest when he heard him speak again,
"ALL OF IT!!" Kahan ordered in a threatening voice that showed that he was prepared to kill the attendant if he decided that there was indeed something wrong with him.
This time around, Teran quickly did as he was asked, swallowing the entire contents of the glass of wine he had poured from the bottle he had personally opened.
"It's quite obvious…Burrrp," Teran said, while making a belching sound with the glass cup still in his hands, his cheeks a little pink showing how quickly the wine had affected him.
"From the mask, anyone should be able to spot your paranoid nature a mile away," Teran said, having no problems with speaking his mind as he even went ahead to pour himself another drink.
Kahan knew exactly what he was doing when he had asked for the highly alcoholic wine the attendant had just taken just in case he had a tolerance for it.
"Did they send you to my room? What were you asked to do to me?" Kahan asked one after the other, bringing out his phone to check if Manny had dropped any important messages for him.
Especially since he hadn't heard from him since he got to the hotel.
"Please…Every. Single. Person here but my supervisor wants to avoid you," Teran truthfully stated, as he continued to sip on his newly poured drink.
"Who would want such a rude and bossy person like you around?"
"I'm sure you have a terrible face to match your terrible personality," Teran continued and was just about to say more when his phone suddenly rang,
He instantly picked it up, not all surprised to see the strange but familiar number calling him,
"I'm quite busy right …"
"Open the door. Wherever you are, you just need to go and open the door of room 105 with your attendant card," said a deep voice from the other side of the phone giving him clear instructions,
"Why…" Teran was in the process of asking when the person quickly hung up,
"Your people?" Kahan asked, even though he was already convinced that Teran, the attendant in front of him had been sent to attack him in some way,
"What? No, but he wants me, for some reason, to open the door of this room," Teran truthfully replied, tipsy enough from the wine he had drank to act in a purely straightforward manner.
Kahan instantly jumped off and just as he did, bullet sounds echoed in the doorway, loud enough for Teran to half-scream and bend down in an attempt to avoid what he thought was directed at him.
Kahan on the other hand looked around before heading to the bathroom. Paying Teran no mind.
Instinctively Teran raced after him,
"Those were gunshot sounds, right? What are we going to do? I still have a grandmother to look after. I can't die here," Teran said as he began speaking anxiously, with the full knowledge that if the shooters were there for the masked guest, there was no way they would leave him alive.
Kahan said nothing and simply checked the toilet tank, pulling out the gun that had previously been stashed there,
This made Teran want to scream again, as he forcefully used his own hands to cover his mouth.
"Please I have no idea what's going on?" Teran instantly began pleading, as he slowly backed away until his back hit the bathroom wall, his mind doing everything he could to get out of the way of the menacing man in front of him.
Kahan on the other hand did no such thing as he moved closer, until there was no distance or breathing space between him and Teran.
"W-what are you doing? We have to hide here. If they find us we are dead," Teran said in a panicked voice, feeling a heavy breath fanning his face, unable to see anything but Kahan's frosty eyes as he looked down at him.
"I'm trying to figure out whether or not you're part of them," Kahan replied in a cold tone, towering over Teran as he held both his hands tightly against the wall, prepared to kill him if he gave anything but the answer he was looking for,
"Why are you here?" Kahan asked.
