Chapter 7 - Alice Arrives at the Villages

This morning the two siblings seemed busy preparing for the trip to their home. His sister was seen putting stirrups and a horse saddle on Charlie's back. While the older brother was busy arranging supplies for them on the street. Sunny weather accompanied Alice and Eryk's journey to the village where they lived.

"Eryk, let's go now", Alice said.

"Okay, Sis," Eryk said.

The two of them climbed on Charlie's dashing back.

But a blank look was still visible in his younger brother's eyes, it was seen when Eryk almost brought Alice and his horse into a ravine.

"Eric watch out!" Alice screamed.

Luckily, Alice swiftly took over the reins that were in her sister's hand.

"Sorry Sis, my mind is disturbed," Eryk shouted.

"What are you doing Eryk, you want to take us to death with you. What are you thinking," Alice said furiously.

"I don't know, Sis, Liora's face still haunts me," Eryk replied.

"Liora? Who is she?" she asked.

"He is the person I wanted to talk about yesterday afternoon. The adopted son of the Haugert family who likes to bathe in deer blood" Eryk replied.

"All right, tell me now," Alice shouted.

"Later Sis, we'll focus on riding Charlie first. I'll tell you when we get home," he said.

"All right," Alice said.

Eryk grabbed the reins again, and he wanted to get back to controlling Luna's favorite horse.

"WherWhere's reined, Sis, let me control Charlie," Eryk asked .

"No Charlie, I don't fully trust you yet. You better get your head around it and save Liora's face for a while," Alice said.

The younger brother gave up when he no longer got the trust of his brother to control the gallant horse. He was forced to hand the reins to Alice.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at the pine forest they had passed when they left. Eryk watched the forest and enjoyed the cool air.

"Sis, this is a pine forest that the woman selling bread in the next village told me about," Eryk said.

"Yes, and the woman said we can't stop or stop here, right?" Alice said.

"But it seems that this forest has no signs of strangeness, Sis," Eryk said.

His brother didn't heed his sister's jokes, he remained focused on pulling Charlie's rope.

"Eryk, aren't you hungry? If you're hungry, eat lunch in my bag," the older brother said.

"Let's just stop at the village across from Sis," Eryk said.

They arrived at the village opposite Eryk meant.

"Are you going to rest here my brother?" she asked.

"How about we stop at the woman selling bread and milk again, Sis," Eryk suggested.

"But we've brought a lot of Eryk's food," Alice said.

"Let's just order two cups of warm milk, Sis, there's something I want to ask the woman selling the bread," Eryk said.

"Well, what do you want to ask," Alice said.

"I want to ask about the pine forest we passed earlier," Eryk replied.

The two of them walked with Charlie to the shop owned by the woman Eryk meant.

"Good morning madam, could we have two cups of warm milk," Alice said.

"Of course Miss, please sit down," the woman said.

The brothers were sitting on the front porch, they were in the same place when they first came to this tavern.

Seven minutes later the woman came with two cups of warm milk for them.

"Please," the woman said, looking at Alice and Eryk.

Weren't you the ones who came here the other day, and were about to head to the city? Are you going home this time? How was your trip?" the woman asked.

"Introduce me Eryk and this is my sister Alice. That's right, Madame, our journey went smoothly and now we are going back to the village," Eryk said.

"Thank you, please introduce me to Mary," Mary said.

"Mrs. Mary, you never forbade us to stop in the pine forest which is not far from this village. If you may know why?" Erik asked.

"Oh that, there is a wolf demon and it often appears when the full moon comes," Mary answered.

"Is he a dangerous figure in your opinion?" Erik asked.

"I don't know, this is just a story that I don't know the truth about," Mary said.

"Then how did you know there was a werewolf in the forest?" she asked.

Mary also told about an incident in the past.

"A few years ago, there was a group of people from the city who came hunting in the forest. When they were about to get prey, a wolf demon appeared atta to attack. Among the survivors ran to this village, while the others were not found until now," Mary said.

Haring Mary's story about the wolf-demon Alice was a little hesitant, she again asked about the figure.

"Mrs. Mary, did the hunter also tell you about the characteristics of the Demon?" she asked.

"Yes, Miss, he is shaped like a wolf in general, but his form can change the form of a half-half-humanity and half a wolf," Mary explained.

Alice imagined the wolves demonized.

"Alice, drink your milk and enjoy your food. Give Mrs. Mary a chance to get back to work," interrupted Eryk.

"Thanks for the information, madam," Alice said.

The woman returned to the shop.

"Eryk, why did you interrupt my conversation with that woman," protested Alice .

"We've got the information we can, Mrs. Mary's explanation is enough to represent my curiosity," Eryk replied.

"But I wanted to ask where the Wolf Demon came from," Alice said.

"Mrs. Mary has never met her, she must not know the origin of the Demon. Finish your food quickly and let's continue the journey," the sister said.

After eating, the two of them said goodbye to the shop and approached the shop owner to pay for their orders.

"Madam, how much do we have to pay?" Alice's asked.

"Just give me two coins," Mrs. Mary replied.

"This is madam, thank you. We say goodbye to continue our journey," Alice said.

"Be careful on the way, Miss," Mrs. Mary said.

Alice and her sister immediately got into the saddle on Charlie's back.

"Sis, let me control Charlie," Eryk asked.

"All right," Alice said, giving her sister the reins she was holding.

The two of them began to travel to the village. A few hours later they arrived at their village safely. Both parents seemed happy with the arrival of their son and daughter.

"You're home? How was your trip?" the mother asked.

"That's very nice, Mom," Eryk happily.

"Let them rest first to relieve fatigue," interrupted the father.

"We brought gifts for you," said Alice, handing her the gifts she had brought from town.

"Thank you," the mother said.

After giving them the gifts they bought from the city, the two of them entered their respective rooms to rest.
