Chapter 11 - Irene's Complaint

After receiving explanations from the two witnesses, Mrs. Deborah's curiosity grew even more. His curiosity about the Haugert family grew unstoppable. He also took the initiative to find out more about the family. Arriving at home, he immediately decided to negotiate with his husband and child.

"Husband," cried Mrs. Deborah.

"What's wrong my wife, why are you shouting for me," asked the husband.

"Come here, I want to talk to you," replied his wife.

Luna's father immediately approached his wife. When Luna was about to leave the place, her mother suddenly stopped her steps.

"Luna, you don't go to the room first. Wait here," said the mother.

"Okay ma'am," said Luna.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" asked Mr. Laurent.

"Sit down. Well, Luna, please get us a drink," said his mother.

Luna immediately stepped into the kitchen, she immediately boiled water to make tea.

"Father, I've proven the truth of what Luna said about the Haugerts. I think this matchmaking must stop immediately," suggested Mrs. Debora.

"What truth do you mean my wife?" asked Mr. Laurent.

"The truth about the cruelty and irregularities of the family is father," replied the wife.

Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Luna who brought him a cup of tea for them.

"This is your drink, ma'am," said Luna.

"Thank you, son," said the mother.

"We have to find a way to cancel this matchmaking!" cried Mrs. Deborah.

Hearing her mother's decision, Luna's heart was very relieved. He said it was the right move before it was too late.

"How, Mom. We really have to prepare everything," said the father.

"Therefore, Yah, I invite you to negotiate. We must find a way out to deal with this problem," the wife pressed.

The three of them began to think and began to express their respective opinions.

"Mom, how about we provide evidence about the Haugert family, for the consideration of the father's extended family canceling this matchmaking plan," suggested Luna.

"What if tomorrow we meet with father's family and start talking about this matter," added Luna.

"Talking to your father's family is futile in my opinion," said her mother.

His father was silent when he heard his wife and children exchange opinions.

"Come on dad, have an opinion. Don't just be silent," snapped his wife.

"I'm silent, I'm not thinking, Mom," replied the father.

The three of them began to think even harder, they were looking for the right way or reason to cancel Luna and Marck's wedding plans.

"Have you confirmed the truth about the Marck family? You only listen to stories from people," continued the father.

"Okay dad, Luna will prove herself. By the full moon, Luna will go to town," said Luna.

"But son, you've never been there before. I'm worried that something will happen to you," said her mother.

"Calm down Mom, I went to town with Alice and Eryk," said Luna calming her mother's heart.

"Father will accompany you there Luna," said his father.

"Then you will come too," said his mother.

Their conversation was apparently overheard by Irene, a woman who was sent by a large family from Luna's father. He was assigned to oversee Luna's family, Irene also planned to report what she heard to Luna's father's extended family. Luna's father's extended family lives in the opposite village not far from their village.

Irene quietly left the house through the back door, she walked quickly towards the village where Grandpa Luna lived.

Arriving at the house of Mr. Christ or Luna's grandfather, he asked the gatekeeper to open the door.

"Hey old man, please open the door. I have something important to say to the big master," Irene asked.

"Have you made an appointment?" asked the housekeeper.

"Tell your master, I'm Irene coming to meet," said Irene.

The guard immediately went to his Master and conveyed Irene's message.

"Excuse me, sir, in front, there is a woman named Irene who wants to meet the master," said the guard.

"Let him in, I'll wait for him in the back garden," said the master.

"Yes sir," said the guard.

He then turned back to Irene.

"Please come in, madam, sir, waiting for you in the back garden," he said.

Irene ran into the house, she immediately headed for the back garden.

"Good afternoon sir," said Irene breathlessly.

"What's wrong Irene, it seems there is something important you want to say,"

"Master's children and grandchildren are trying to find a way to thwart the arranged marriage with Marck. They plan to collect evidence about the strangeness of the Marck family for consideration so that other families will accept their request," said Irene.

"What nonsense is this Father?" said Brad.

He is the eldest of five siblings, while Luna's father is the youngest child in the family.

Irene's statement angered the family members who heard it.

"Didn't you hear Irene wrong?" asked Mr. Christ.

"Of course not sir," answered Irene confidently.

"Father, this really can't be allowed," interrupted Amanda, Mr. Christ's second child.

"Amanda is right. Well, this can't be tolerated," continued Ken, Mr. Christ's third child.

"You guys calm down first. Irene, you go back to Laurent's house before they suspect you," said Mr. Christ.

Mr. Christ's palace is inhabited by him and his children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. His wife had died twenty years ago, while the fourth and fifth children decided to live in their own homes.

Irene rushed back to Mr. Laurent's house. Arriving at Luna's parent's house, she immediately did her homework as usual.

"Where have you been Irene? I've been looking for you," asked Mrs. Debora.

"I went out for a while to buy vegetables, Madame," answered Irene.

"I see," said Mrs. Deborah.

"What do you need madam looking for me?" Irene asked.

"Nothing important, it's just that I didn't see you today. That's why I was looking for you, I thought where were you," said Mrs. Deborah.

Unsuspectingly, Luna's mother believed the woman's words. Then Mrs. Deborah walked over to the princess in her room.

"Luna, what are you doing?" asked the mother.

"I'm preparing the necessities that I will bring to the city, Mom," said Luna happily.

"You seem very excited, the full moon is still one week away from Luna. That means our departure for the city is still next week," said the mother, pinching her daughter's cheek.

"Luna can't wait to prove the irregularities of the Marck family. Oh yes, Ma'am, how about we invite Alice and Eryk because they are the ones who know the Haugert family's residence. So we don't need to look for their addresses," said Luna.

"Okay Luna, later I will try to talk to your father," replied his mother.

The joy on her daughter's face made Mrs. Deborah feel relieved. He hopes that the plan can go according to his wishes and produce results so that the marriage that the princess did not expect does not happen.
