"I can't believe this kids , have you seen how they have felt , look at them , just take a look at them , they just left like I wasn't talking to them ,am they mother ,I have every right to ask them any question and the have the responsibility of answering my questions!"Cloe yelled.
"Are they supposed to answer your questions even if you ask the most stupid questions ?"Stephen asked him ,"what are you talking about , don't tell me that you are siding with them ?"Cloe asked.
Stephen looked at her and decided that it was useless talked to her ,he served his and started eating treating Cloe as if she was invisible,"aren't you going to talk to me,all of you are the same,"Cloe shouted at the top of her voice,she was hoping that by shouting she going to make Stephen say something but Stephen acted as if he didn't hear her.
"Why are you shouting like that ?"Pauline asked as she and her husband come inside the house ,"what are you doing here , it's already night time?"Cloe asked instead of answering the question that Pauline asked her.
"I asked why you are shouting like that?"Pauline repeated her question,"it's none of your business ,what are you doing here ?"Cloe asked ,"it's also none of your business ,"Pauline replied ,"where are the kids , Stephen ?"Pauline asked ,it was better if she got done with what brought her there.
"Why are you asking for them ?"Cloe asked ,"it's none of your business besides I wasn't talking to, you should learn to talk while you are talked to ,"Pauline said to her.
"I will call them for you mother ,"Stephen said ,he stood up and left to call them,"let's sit and wait for them,"Pauline said to her husband, Patrick was about to sit when she realized that Cloe had something that she wanted to say .
"This is my house ,am the one who should ask you to sit ,"Cloe said , Pauline ignored her and went ahead and sat down, Patrick also decided to follow his wife and sit , Pauline smiled when he saw her husband sit ,she looked at Cloe waiting for whatever she had to say next.
"Grandpa ,grandma ,you are here?"John called immediately he arrived downstairs,"John , how are you ?"Patrick asked him ,"am fine grandpa ,"John replied ,"how is school ?"Patrick asked ,"it's as usual,hardwork,"John said.
"Are you complaining ?"Pauline asked ,"of course not grandma ,"he replied , Stephanie and Beartice also arrived downstairs , they greeted Pauline and Patrick and waited for them to tell them the reason they called for them.
"Kids your grandmother and I have decided to go on a vacation immediately the coming school holidays starts ,"Patrick said, Stephanie , Beatrice and John looked at him with interest when he mentioned going on a holiday.
"We decided that we are going to take you guys with us , that's if you want to do,"Patrick said ,"wow , I will definitely go ,"Cloe said ,"you aren't coming ,we are only interested in taking the kids only,"Paula said to her.
Cloe thought that it was unfair,"why am I not allowed to go ,I would like to go with you ,"Cloe complained,"didn't you hear what I just said , I said that we are only taking the kids , you can help your husband with the office work besides you have you own business , wait until you retire then you will go for a vacation and take your grandchildren with you,"Pauline said.
"Grandpa ,I would like to go with you guys ,"John said , Cloe and Pauline stopped arguing, Patrick gave John a thumps up after he succeeded in making them stop the argument between them.
"Ok John , what about Stephanie and Beatrice ?"Patrick asked looking at her two granddaughters,"I will go to you ,"Beatrice said ,"I will also go with you grandpa ,"Stephanie also said,"that's go , immediately the the holiday starts we will leave for the vocation for the whole month,"Patrick said.
"The whole month , you guys are leaving for the whole month and you don't want to take me with you guys?"Cloe asked , even if they won't take her with them ,she was happy that they were taking her daughter and son with them , she was happy that they loved and treated them like their own grandchildren.
"There is no need for you to convince us to take you with us because we have already decided and we won't change our minds,"Pauline said,"grandpa , where are we going for the vocation ?"John asked .
"That's a suprise that your grandmother and I have planned for you guys,"Patrick said ,"just tell us grandpa ,"John pleaded with him ,"I won't tell you ,if I tell you ,it won't be a surprise anymore ,"Patrick said.
Cloe looked at the interaction between her son and her father-in-law and couldn't help but smile , even his own paternal grandfather didn't treat him like how Patrick was treating him ,she swore to stick into this family.
"Ok guys ,we will get going ,you guys still have school tomorrow ,you should retire to your beds ,"Patrick said ,he and his wife left , Stephanie , Beatrice and John each went to their own rooms , Cloe and Stephen were left alone in the dinning room.
"My goodness , you are still here , I thought that you already left ,"Cloe said to Stephen ,"why didn't you help me convince your parents to take me with them to where they are going for the vocation ?"Cloe asked him ,"why would I do that when they weren't even planning to take me with them ,am their son , you know !"Stephen said.
"My goodness Stephen , don't tell me that you are jealous of the kids ?"Cloe asked him , Stephen looked at her but didn't say a word to him , Cloe couldn't stop laughing when she saw how depressed her husband was.
Stephen stood up and left ,he was really jealous, Cloe laughed until she cried,she decided to use this scene to tease him occasionally.
