"You have been on your phone for a very long time ,what are you doing ?"Cloe asked ,she has been watching Stephanie and she realized that she has been looking at something in her phone for a long time now.
"It's nothing important ,"she replied ,"what do you mean that it's nothing ,am sure that it's something important and if it's nothing important you should give me your phone and let me take a look ,"Cloe said , she looked at Stephanie and realized that she has already gone back to looking at her phone.
"Stephanie , you just told me that whatever it's you are looking in your phone isn't important but you aren't even listening to what am saying ,am talking to you while you are busy looking at your phone ,"Cloe said.
"I was listening to you,"Stephanie replied,"oh , really ,if you were listening to what I saw saying ,why don't you repeat what I have said ,"Cloe suggested , Stephanie stared at the floor ,she was lost ,she didn't even hear what she has said.
"Am waiting for you to repeat what am saying,"Cloe said,"why should I repeat what you said , don't tell me that you have forgotten what you have said and you are waiting for me to remind you ?"Stephanie said ,she prayed and hoped that she will just give up.
"Stephen ,am waiting for you to either repeat what I have said or give me your phone so that I can take a look ,"Cloe said ,she sat down and made herself comfortable waiting for Stephanie to choose either of the two options that she has given her.
Cloe looked at Stephanie when she realized that she was taking a lot of time in choosing,she realized that she was typing something on her phone ,she stood up and walked towards her ,she had the intention of taking the phone away from her when she wasn't expecting but Stephanie was too first and moved the phone away.
"Give me the phone ,I really like to see who you are chatting with,"Cloe said ,"why should I give you my phone ?"Stephanie asked Cloe, Cloe didn't say anything to her ,she attempted to take the phone from her forcefully but Stephanie had to be too strong than her.
"Leave me alone ,this is my phone besides am not a kid anymore , I can do whatever that I feel like doing or have you become a phone snatcher ,the last time you snatched John's phone and it happens that you want to snatch mines today ,"Stephanie said , Cloe didn't know what to do after she was called a phone snatch.
"Am a mother trying to look after my children,"Cloe said in her defense,"you don't need to look after me ,am very capable of looking after myself,"Stephanie replied,"you can say whatever you want to say but I won't stop until I know what you have been doing with your phone for the whole day,"Cloe said .
Stephen looked at her,she moved and sat on another sofa, Cloe followed her and stood near where she was sitting , Stephanie's phone lit up ,she knew that it was a message , she read the message and tried to reply to whoever she was chatting with when she realized that Cloe was completely towards her slowly.
She went ahead and hid her phone ,"aren't you going to give me the phone ?"Cloe asked her , Stephanie don't even spare her a glance,"Stephanie , give me the photos or am going to call your father and tell him that you have a boyfriend,"Cloe threatened her.
"You can tell him whatever you want to tell him besides I don't think that having a boyfriend is a crime ,am not a kid anymore,"Stephanie replied ,"you are very stubborn aren't you Stephanie ?"Cloe asked , Stephanie pretend that she was typing.
"Your grandparents have spoiled you so much ,I guess that it's they're fault that you turned out like this,"Cloe said ,"you should leave my grandparents out of this , whether it's they're fault or not , isn't your fault , mind your own business,"Stephanie said , Cloe looked at her and felt like giving her a good beating but she couldn't do it , Stephanie was strong than she was ,she knew that if she attempted to beat here ,she will end up being beaten herself.
"If you want to talk about grandparents ,I think that you should talk about yourself own ,"Stephanie said ,she took the remote control and switched on the television , choosing a random station ,she was interested in watching the television,she just wanted to just show Cloe that she wasn't interested in arguing with her.
When Cloe saw that she has switched the television on ,she guessed her intentions but she wasn't about to give up yet before she knew what Stephanie was doing with her phone,"Stephanie ,am not a kid,am aware that you want to show me that you aren't going to do what am saying,"Cloe said to her , Stephanie on the other hand heard what she said loud and clear but she pretended that she was engrossed on watching the television that she didn't hear what Cloe was saying.
"Stephen , stop acting dumb ,I know that you can hear what am saying loud and clear, look at me and tell me if you are going to show my what you are doing with your phone or not ,"Cloe said raising her phone .
Stephen continued to act as if she wasn't hearing her talking, Cloe moved and stood before the television ,"go ahead and watch me ,"Cloe said , Stephanie decided to go to her bedroom and leave Cloe alone.
Cloe watched as Stephanie walked up the stairs,"Stephanie , come back immediately ,"Cloe yelled at the top of her voice ,"what's that yelling for ?"Stephen asked ,he was just coming in when he heard Cloe yelling, Stephanie turned look at the both of them ,then left for her room.
