Chapter 9 - 9.

Plan B: Scale up the eastern wall.

Which she just did.

"Right, now all that's left is to get myself past the guards and inside the mai... CRAP!" Nova froze for split of a second as the growls of dogs came right behind. The next second she was prancing through the trees.

Where the fuck is Mr Rudolph when you needed him?

Rudolph, her client is supposed to be waiting at he treeline for her. He is supposed to guarantee her safe entry, but when their car was stopped at he first gate, she called and informed him. But the bastard left her to deal with it on her own, saying; "That's what I'm paying you for. Figure it out and meet me by the treeline at the eastern wall."

Bastard. Thankfully, Nova had did her own research about the place and already had that planned in case she need an emergency escape. Turned out she'll be needing that to get in as well.

"Dogs!...cursed devils and their sharp senses. One can never sneak in peace!" The growls intensified as more joined the chase. Nova chanced a look over her shoulder only to see a huge Rottweiler closing its sharp fangs inches away from the trail of her flowy satin dress.

"Jesus, someone get this beast away from me!" She said gathering the trail into her arms and sped along, weaving around the trees. He said he'd get her at the treeline, yet he abandon her again.

"Strike the base of it neck__,"

"___it'll be on the ground dead in seconds."

"Your mother, strike what? I do not plan on having my fingers chomped, thank you very much."

She could only hope not to draw the attention of the guards patrolling the giant white baroque building. Even with the woods blocking her view, she had counted at least 10 guard surrounded place. At least they are better than these fanged monsters.

Nova hate dogs, with passion. With only the exception of Maxwell, though they aren't the best buddies.

Every single time she went on a mission they always managed to show up and cause problems to her. She might be nicknamed Red Bolt, but even she can't outrun trained police dogs.

But not this time, this time Nova plan on doing a perfect job to the end, putting aside her fear.

A warm cozy house on the country side with lots and lots of peanuts is waiting for her. Freedom baby.

All she had to do was wreck the union of of pampered couple.

The unfortunate soul on the receiving end is a certain Mr Winters, the only heir to the Winter Enterprise and renowned Prince of the business industry, a multi talented person with a charming character.

He is the epitome of a good citizen with no criminal record and always extend his helping hands to those in need. Blah blah blah and all that goody two shoes nonsensicality. All of which Nova believed a facade.

That isn't what she is interested about, his kindness or not is not her priority.

The family were a secluded one that valued privacy and are hardly seen outside. After searching up and down, she only managed to come across an article on how at the tender age of 18, Prince Winters took over the family business and managed to triple it's profit ever since he assumed position as the CEO, nicknamed the money making machine.

If it wasn't for Mr Rudolph's information, it would've been impossible for someone like her to know about the wedding. And as soon as she heard about what the job entailed, a bright bulb lit up her head.

What other ways is there to ruin relationship faster than infidelity?

Nova knew, there isn't a chance on earth for her to attack the party and survive. That would only get her in jail as they sealed their scared union and lived happily ever after.

So here she is, dressed and dolled with a four month old fetus nestling in her stomach. Even if she is caught, the sheer idea of the groom cheating should send the wife running for the hills, and successfully preventing their union.

Poor Mr Winters. He shouldn't blame her though, this is just how life is. It isn't always sunshine, she's just showing the harsh side of it where she grew up from.

It's not like he'd even be affected, he had enough talent and money to see him through. She had grown up alone, sometimes scraping by when the gang run out of money but she didn't die. So he wouldn't.

But this, this was not supposed to happen! Rudolph was supposed to sneak her inside as quietly as possible till her target showed up. With the way things are moving, Nova would get thrown into jail without even making it to the hall.

"What a waste of a fucking...." Smack. "FUCK!" The sharp sounds of bones crushed behind her had her stumbling over her dress. But before she could make it to the ground, a long arm slinked around her belly holding her up.

"Easy there, I've got you." The person's amused voice called above her. But Nova's eyes were glued to the rottweiler that laid limply on the ground, head in a strange angle. The fangs that were inches from burying themselves inside her bony legs buried in the dog's tongue.

Nova look up at the man. In as much as she is grateful to be saved, she only felt as if she'd jumped from frying pan to fire.

"Who are you?" Or rather, what are you?

"That isn't what you need to be worrying about at the moment." He let go of her midriff, wiping his hands against a white handkerchief.

"And may I ask what a young lady of your bearings is doing out here alone?"

"I-i'm....ahem, I'm waiting for someone." Pause, then she realized how suspicious it was for her to be out here alone.

"Actually, I'm not feeling too well, so I came for some fresh air." She shuddered, thinking about the mutilated dog.

"I'm with Mr Rudolph." She added. Her client is as rich as the guest here, so mentioning his name should give her some leeway. Nova pat the sweat on ber face away as she regained her breathing.

The man, tall and handsome with a lean built, looked to be in his forties, and wealthy. That was the only thing she was looking for actually. He isn't a guard.

"Rudolph, I see. I saw him arrived a moment ago. Must've been held up inside."

"Come with me, I think I know where I can find him." Nova almost cried in joy ignoring the way the stranger was eying her stomach. But hey, she isn't busted yet.

"Oh, thank you! It would've been impossible for me to do that with the crowd."

The man only hummed in reply, and with an arm around her waste, Nova was guided into the Grand Hall, successfully infiltrating the building without much hassle.
