Junwei reached the office the next morning and just by his facial expressions one could tell that he wasn't in a good mood. As he passed through the reception, the receptionists greeted him. One of them rushed to him and pardoned herself from stopping him.
"Sir, someone has sent this basket bouquet for you," the receptionist said. Wang Zexi asked the receptionist to give it to him, who did so.
Junwei looked at it briefly and saw roses in that. However, he resumed his walk to the private elevator.
"Sir, it has a card for you," Wang Zexi said after they both got into the elevator.
"What is it about?" Junwei asked.
Wang Zexi opened it and read the message in it.
"Hello Mr. Yuyu," as soon as he read the first sentence Junwei snatched the card from the flash's speed and put it inside his pocket. Wang Zexi was stunned to see Junwei's reaction.
He left the basket bouquet in Junwei's office after telling him about the day's schedule. Junwei had only one important meeting which was at noon with an investor.
Junwei dismissed Wang Zexi. However, before leaving, Wang Zexi informed him about Sophie's call last night. Junwei didn't react to it as if he was not interested to know about it.
"Miss Lin was asking if my boss was angry or not," Wang Zexi stated.
Junwei's jaw clenched and Wang Zexi noticed it. He left the office while Junwei lifted his hand which had the card with the message.
"Hello, Mr. Yuyu,
These white roses are for you. I want you to feel the freshness of these roses in the morning and start afresh with me. About last night, I apologize. I was bewildered and ended up... Please let it go. I sincerely apologize to you. I wanted to come to you personally, but I did not want to infuriate you. I hope you will forgive me.
See you soon,
Sophie Lin."
Below her name, she had made a smiley for Junwei and even had put her signature there.
"Who gave her permission to call me Yuyu?" Junwei mumbled and tore the card. He tore it into pieces and moved a little on his swivel chair towards the trash bin. He threw the pieces into the bin and moved back to the desk.
His eyes landed on the white roses when he recalled his AI assistant Jia's words. "Humans forgive easily if their loved ones give them special gifts."
He wondered if he should gift his grandfather too. He looked at his phone and found Ziyang didn't call him in the morning. Junwei picked up the phone to call him, but then he shook his head. He stared at the number of his mother and found out that she had called him after he left the home. However, he had ignored her calls.
Junwei decided to call his mother, but his grandfather's words pissed him off again. He put the phone back in its place and started working.

Sophie removed her eye shades as she reached the location, where she was supposed to do the mini-commercial after that scandal.
Ciao Hong opened the umbrella and put it over Sophie's head. She started to walk and they soon reached the small setup that was put up for her commercial.
It was a commercial shoot for a fruit company, which was into organic farming. Since they were in the countryside, not many people could be seen except on the farms.
After the general introduction, the work began. Sophie changed into a denim dungaree with a white t-shirt. She had put on the huge circular hat that a farmer would usually wear to get himself or herself saved from the summer heat.
After an entire day's work, she finally got freed in the evening. She had never been to a farm before and it was truly a new kind of experience for her. She was happy after many days and decided to buy fruits from the same company as they were organic.
During their return, Sophie asked Ciao if he saw her panda keyring, who shook his head.
"Is it lost?" He asked with big eyes.
"Yes. I am unable to find it since yesterday. I searched it everywhere," Sophie said. It was the keyring that her father gifted her on her fifteenth birthday. That was the day when she got her eyesight back.
"You should have kept it safe, Sophie," Ciao told her.
"What to do? I even asked Junwei about it if he saw it. He also refused," Sophie answered.
"I will ask his secretary. Because last day you were in their company only. Don't worry. We will find it soon," Ciao said and patted her hand. Sophie was suddenly restless. What if it was lost? It was such a precious keyring to her.
Amidst all this, she decided to contact Ziyang to give him her gratitude. After she signed a contract with Junwei, she didn't get the time to thank him. She didn't know if Ziyang and Katie would accept the invitation if she invited them for lunch. Still, she thought to ask Ziyang once.
Suddenly, her phone started ringing and she checked it. It was an unknown number. At first, she didn't answer it, but then she answered it and brought the phone to her ear.
Ciao glanced at her, wondering who was on the call.
"Why do you want me?" Sophie asked the person on the other side of the call.
"I don't think it is an appropriate time for us to meet. I can meet you in the morning," Sophie said. However, the person on the other side kept insisting on meeting her and she finally agreed to it. When she hung up the call, Ciao asked her who it was.
"Yusheng," Sophie replied.
"Why is he contacting you? Didn't you two break up already?" Ciao asked her.
"I will find out after meeting him," Sophie said. Ciao looked at her with a questionable look. He didn't want her to meet him.
"Don't worry. I will tell him that it is the last time we are seeing each other," Sophie assured Ciao.
"You better tell him," Ciao stated. Sophie hummed and rested her head on the headrest. She looked outside the window and recalled the day when she first met Yusheng on the sets of the drama, which had aired two years ago.
