Chereads / The Choices we make [MMO Fantasy] / Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

The bottle that Liliana sent down was still sitting on the table.

"I am right if I assume that this is alcohol, Alex?"

Alex nodded. He knew that there was surveillance, but that Liliana would use her own energy to send a bottle down was something he did not expect.

"The goddess of creation in our world is called Liliana and she and I have a good relationship.

Although, every time I do something unexpected she created bottles like these because she cannot remain calm in the situation without being drunk."

Elly and Joan both took the cupboard and took out glasses for the alcohol with their respective interpretations of mage hand.

Alex found that interesting because their mage hands strongly differed from one another.

His mothers was more of an astral hand, while Elly's was entirely fire base.

But the fire was only 19°C hot.

It did not burn the glass at all or even create black marks on it.

Elly was having an existential crisis she didn't even knew she could have.

Joan was also short for words because she was still processing the name thing.

At some point in her life she really thought of two girl names for her babies.

But that was so long ago that she had forgotten.

She and her husband Gregory made a deal where both of them got to name one baby.

She chose Elizabeth for the girl and he chose Alexander.

To be fair, he should also name Alex now.

Both drank a shot of the strong alcohol as if it was nothing but water.

Alex did not know that they could drink like that.

Were all woman like that?

"I hope this is okay with both of you. If you asked me, I prefer this form over other humans.

Sure, I could have copied a random stranger on the street, but I wanted to stay myself to some degree."

Elly was pissed. She drank another shot and looked at her now sister in contempt.

"To some degree my ass, or your ass because we are twins. Identical twins even."

The alcohol worked like it seemed. After only two shots, Elly was already feeling very hot on the inside. Not the usual warmth she felt in her elemental form, but rather a feeling of uncontrolled heat that ran through her.

That was something strange for her as she was always able to monitor and control her body heat.

Joan was not listening at all to their conversation as she was in though about the name.

Alexis was a good name she believed, but that was also very obvious she thought.

People would see through that quite easily.

Still, what could they do even if they found out?

He could always just use Elly's identity if things got out of hand.

"I believe," Joan drank another shot. "That Alexis is just fine."

Both were drunk… very drunk. But they wanted to go on.

"Hey Alexis, we need more alcohol. Bring me directly to the source. I want to go see Liliana."

As the only one that didn't drink, Alexis thought this was a bad idea. On the other hand, if Liliana took care of her family, she wouldn't need to worry about them drinking too much and causing a scene in the neighborhood.

"Good idea, Mom."

Alexis opened a gate to heaven that looked like a wooden door but golden.

He specifically wished for this gate to lead directly to the main temple.

"One trip to heaven for three people."

Alexis's mother walked straight through the gate, meanwhile as Elly was standing up she tumbled a little bit.

But after a shot while, Elly went through the gate as well.

The three arrived close to the main gate.

What Alexis didn't knew, was that it was a privilege only for the gods to create gates close to the main temple.

So it was a major surprise for the angels that were patrolling the temple to find a gate so close to the temple being used and even stranger was the fact that two drunken people came out of it.

After Alexis arrival they felt the godly aura of her and went quickly away.

Alexis took her mother and her sister by the hands and led them into the temple.

The secretary angel Ursula was dumbfounded by the appearance of the three and tried to look busy.

She wanted them to just go away. And to her surprise they did.

Alexis led them to the teleportation formation to the meeting room and activated it herself.

As fast as they appeared, they vanished. Now it was at least not the problem of Ursula anymore.

She just sent a memo to Liliana that guests had appeared, but she had a strong suspicion that she already knew.

Not many people used the meeting room, because there was just nothing to discuss most of the time.

Business in heaven was only problematic when it came to new souls that were arriving.

To accommodate them in their familiar dream homes was always the main focus of Ursula's work.

Things that the gods and angels did however, haven't changed in hundreds of years.

The only one actively using the room was Alexander.

The three woman that entered were Alexander's mother and sister.

Only the third one was foreign to Ursula, but wasn't that just Alexander in female form?

Ursula sighed and focused on her work again, sadly Alexander had the right to go in there without noticing her first. He had too much privilege in her opinion.

Wobbling out of the teleport formation, Alexis accompanied by her mother and sister walked over to the meeting table.

Both were blackout drunk by this point because when Alexis tried to take away the bottle, it was already empty.

His mother drank more, but Elly was similarly drunk.

It was just that his mother had more of a tolerance for alcohol.

"Alexis~ when do we get another bottle of this? I want more~~~"

Alexis's mother was at her funny drinking level. More and it would be problematic to be around.

She got touchy and told embarrassing stories all the time.

That was the entire reason for Alexis to park both of them here.

Liliana arrived a short while later with enough alcohol in hand to get them through the entire night.

Alexis thanked her and without saying much, let them socialize alone.

Without going through the teleport formation, Alexis directly created a gate to her own home and left a message for her father before entering her own capsule.

He was still inside his own capsule as she got there.

She used the capsule because it was less stressful for her.

Also a big plus for the capsule was that her family would know where she was and that they didn't need to worry about her.

Alexis logging into the other world for the first time in a few days. It felt weird that the capsule forcefully created a soul avatar, but for any other person this process was unnoticeable.

Just the feeling of having her own soul being forced to do something was highly inappropriate.

The human equivalent to soul touching was something akin the lines of being told to strip, and the body suddenly decided to follow the command.

Alexis arrived in the other world and instantly changed location.

She had a single goal and that was mana, and a lot of it to arm her legion of angels.

Swords were the first thing she wanted mana for, if she was also able to make clothing or armor of the same quality, she needed more than one mana crystal vein to accomplish that.

Alexis was flying in her female seraphim form through the air as she looked at the map to point her in the direction of her quest locations.

Her first quest was a few hundred kilometers away and consisted of hunting goblins again.

Even her wolf form could deal with them, but is was easier to just use a holy sword and fly through them like butter.

Before, Alexis wolf howls were scaring the crap out of the goblins. Now her uncontrolled holy aura weakened them without her needing to do something.

It was nice target practice, but nothing of the like she really needed.

Alexis's sword style was inexistent and the fact that she one hit everything did not make it any better.

Be it magic control or sword style, she only had power, no skill was involved in that.

Maybe her mother could help her with magic control. Elves were naturally gifted in it and if they knew that Joans daughter was in need of training, they would definitely not say no.

Alexis just had to copy her elf form to start training there. That was a good plan in her opinion.

But for swordsmanship, Alexis had no idea of where to train or what to train.

For about five hours, Alexis slaughtered many camps of devils such as goblins, orcs and even imps. She believed that they would be residing in deep caves or even hell, but even a forest was enough for them it seemed.

The experience Alexis received through the system was now useless for her. Her own soul was mightier than anything the system could do to it.

Under normal circumstances, the level would increase the strength of the soul avatar and also slowly the strength of the original soul.

But Alexis had done it the other way around. Therefore, the stats the system showed to her were not actually her original stats.

While slaughtering through anything that came her way, Alexis went deeper and deeper into a forest.

Her map showed her that the next enemies she had to fight were devils.

She was exited, as she believed that they would actually be able to think like normal beings for a change.

Every creature she had fought before either fought by instinct or used lowly tactics like the goblins.

For a change of combat, Alexis tried to hold in her holy aura and even unsummoned her holy sword and took out a giant club that she got from one orc.

Through her body, the combat was already unfair, but Alexis still tried to make it a little bit fairer for her opponents regarding weapon choice.

The quest declared only to kill devils, what kind of devils she had to kill was unknown to her.

But the first devil she found was of the lesser humanoid devil kind.

It was greyish blue with a single horn on the forehead.

Alexis held a big club, so she felt the urge to just smash the horn into the skull of the devil.

Her female form proved to be an advantage again as the devil mocked her for holding such a big weapon with a small body.

This was the last mockery the devil could do because swiftly after it laughed at Alexis, the huge wooden club plunged down on its face and the horn that was sticking out of its head was used to impale its own skull.

Alexis was pleased with the outcome. She one hit the devil again like she usually did, but it lost because of just standing still and mocking her.

She had not considered the horny devils at all. Her seraphim form still was wearing the angel combat suit, but it looked beautiful on her female body.

It was form fit and pressed against her body like a latex suit.

Apart from being pristine white and having similar characteristics to a leather armor, many tiny symbols could be seen on the armor.

Alexis was not aware at first of their existence but they only glowed now because of her holy aura passively activating them.

This just made the armor look more like an actual artifact that was used for war than a simple white leather armor.
