In no time Dean had reached Audrey's house, Audrey got done handing over her helmet to Dean. "Can we take a stroll?", Audrey asked.
"My Bike is to fast, it wouldn't be a stroll", Dean said he's helmet still on.
"I know that. I meant with our bicycles", Audrey said. "Can you paddle?", Dean asked looking down at her legs then back at her. "Yes I can",said Audrey. "Sure, give me a few", he said driving off.
Audrey went in to change her outfit to something more convenient, she wore blue basketball shorts and a black top. She was folding her clothes in place when her phone rang.
"Hello", she answered.
"I'm outside", replied the person on the other side.
"That was quick, I'm coming",Audrey said cutting the call and rushing out.
Audrey got out of her house along with her bicycle locking the door behind her, She keeps it in the house to avoid it from getting stolen.
"So where are we strolling to?", Dean asked. "Any where, we can go to the park"z Audrey suggested as she adjusted her bicycle. "Okay", Dean replied.
They both had reached the park, the park was wide and spacious so they are alot of places to stroll to. They rode slowly for a while in silence, the boredom and awkwardness ate both of them deeply. "Dean?", Audrey called.
"Mm",he answered. "You know valentine's is on Saturday right?", Audrey asked her mood elevated. "How can I forget", Dean said in a sarcastic way riding with no hands. The sarcasm was clear in his voice and Audrey was taken aback. "What do you mean", she asked pouting while she looked at him.
Dean laughed then said,"how can I when you remind me every second you get".
"That's not true I didn't remind you today", Audrey said turning to look straight. "That's because you were busy trying to keep me away from other girls, I could see green in your eyes",Dean laughed hard.
"Ha ha",Audrey said rolling her eyes. "You wish I was jealous".
She might have denied it, but when he said such her heart skipped a bit, because she could remember all what she did. And the change of mood when Lucy was flirting with Dean. What is wrong with me, Audrey asked herself.
"Any how. So what are you getting me?", Audrey asked excitement clear in her tone.
"It's a surprise",Dean replied. "Uhh, come on. Curiousity is gonna kill me, please tell me what it is", Audrey pleaded stopping her bicycle folding her arms.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you", Dean said stopping his as well. "Come on", she whined. "Nope", Dean said touching the tip of her nose. A blush crept down her cheeks, immediately she turned away.
"Awwn, Such a beautiful couple", said a lady that was passing by, her statement made Audrey's face burn more red.
"Drey",Dean called. "Hmmm",Audrey replied as she turned to look at him. "I wanted to leave this till your birthday?",Dean said. "What is it!?", Audrey asked her face all lightened up.
"follow me I'll show you", Dean said turning his bicycle around and began to ride. Audrey did the same,"wait up!".
"See this as an early birthday present", he said further ahead.
Audrey was finally able to catch up to him, they had passed so many places, places that Audrey didn't know were around here. "Dean where are we going?",Audrey asked. "You'll see soon enough", he replied still riding.
They rode on for a while, Audrey was already getting restless out of curiosity and also tired."Are we there yet?".
"Not yet", he replied still riding then took another turn, Audrey followed along taking the turn. This was a whole different route, if Audrey was to loose sight of Dean she wouldn't know her way back. "Where are we going?",Audrey asked confused. He must have really toured this place, she thought.
They rode further in before Dean stop at an ally, it was so dark you can't see where it leads to. He got of his bicycle walking further into the dark area, Audrey got down from her bicycle rushing to him so she wouldn't loose him. "Dean", Audrey called in fear. "let's go", he said holding her hand and walking in.
The place was so dark, Audrey couldn't see who held her hand. "Don't we need a flash light",she asked really scared, it sounded in her voice. "No. Don't worry, just don't let go", He said reassuring her.
They walked further in for a while, Audrey turned her head back, the light that shined at the end had disappeared. Oh Lord where are we going?, She asked herself scared. After a while, he finally halted. He let go of her hand, dipping his hand In to his pocket to bring out his phone. He turned on the flash light, Audrey breath a sigh of relief. With the help of the light Audrey could see where they were, right now they stood in infront of rusted metal door cover with moss. Audrey watches stunned as Dean pulls out a key attached to his necklace from underneath his top. Whattt.. when has that ever been there?, She asks herself. "Since when has that chain have a key?".
"For as long as I've known you", Dean replied unlocking the door. He pushes the door, but it didn't budge. He turns of his light placing his phone back into his pocket, with a little bit of force Dean uses his side to push open the door.
Audrey jaws dropped in Aww as she saw what laid behind the door, It was a like a whole new place. The area was so massive, a house could be built in here. The place has already darkened up, making everywhere look amazing. They was a garden further in, it had so many different colors of rose bushes. it had a light blue blossom tree beside a white water fountain in the middle of the garden.
Audrey didn't know when her legs moved, walking in. "This is so beautiful".
Dean stood with a smile, watching as Audrey looked around with an Aww expression on her face. Dean closed the door, while Audrey walked towards the fountain. She looked in, see peices of blossom petals floating in the water, the place hard already grown darker so it made the water sparkle.
"Oh my God Dean this is amazing",Audrey said with tears in her eyes, as she cover her mouth with her hands.
"I know. I and my mom use to always come here every night when I was little before she fell sick and passed away", Dean said as tho remembering.
"This is the only thing left of hers to remember", he said walking towards the fountain. The fountain was really big and Deep, if one stood in it, it'd reached their knee.
Dean sits on the edge of the fountain using his hand to pick up water and pieces of the petals. "No body knows about this place",Dean said. "This was dad's wedding gift to mom and so many other things". If he loved her so much why did he leave?,he asked himself with so much bitterness.
"Then why did you show me?",Audrey asked. "Your someone special to me",he replied with a smile, that statement made Audrey warm inside. "This place is lovely", Audrey said still taking a look around. If you looked further in you'd see trees, leading somewhere else. This place was like another park, but a long wall and a large door seperating it from the sight of others.
"I come here when I want to think or need to be by myself",Dean said looking down at the ground, he bends down to pick up a small blossom flower that hadn't been seperated.
He looked at the flower for a very long time then said,"So as to remember the memories I and mom shared, before she passed on".
Dean's words held alot of emotions, but his face held non. "You know you don't have to be strong around me", Audrey said holding his face with both palms. "We can't be strong for ever, we need a break sometimes".
"I know", Dean said handing the flower over to Audrey. I'll keep this safe, she thought with a smile.
