Chapter 15 - 15. Sadness

Princess Cerllynda ran into her room, threw herself on her soft bed. He cried, her heart ached with his own father's words. She wept at how cruel the leader was to his poor people.

"Princess," called Mina, her maid who had indeed followed Princess Cerllynda's steps into her room.

"Tell me Mina! Why is the powerful person so cruel to the poor people?!" said Princess Cerllynda while sobbing remembering all her father's words that really broke her heart into pieces.

Mina, who is only Princess Cerllynda's personal maid, just looked down, of course she didn't know why. Because it hasn't changed since then. He was born from a low class who was later taken by the kingdom to become a slave, as well as a servant of Princess Cerllynda in the kingdom when she was very young. She doesn't know why people who are powerful and rich always oppress the weak and poor, this has been the case for a long time.

"I never knew Princess, indeed this happened before we were born, Princess," Mina said carefully.

Princess Cerllynda changed her position by sitting cross-legged, she hugged the pillow she had placed on her folded legs, wiping her tears roughly.

Lately her days have been so tiring and stifling, moreover, for two days she has been crying and having trouble sleeping so that the bags under her eyes have darkened a little.

"Then, I will change everything. Poor people should not have a single rich person dare to criticize him, because everyone is the same human being. Rich people need help from poor people to do various jobs, and poor people need rich people to do their jobs. get paid for their work. Isn't that a very profitable thing? How can it be just because of their wealth that they easily criticize and humiliate the poor who help with their work every day?" murmured Princess Cerllynda with her piercing gaze and her low voice.

Mina who heard that was very moved, she was very happy if it was Princess Cerllynda who would later become the leader of Carvandalle, this country would definitely prosper and live in peace. Even though she didn't know how the princess put all her words into action at this time. But, what is certain is that Mina likes all the personalities of this princess from the Carvandalle Kingdom more than anyone else.

"I have to apologize to Gress, Mina! Please get me a paper and a pen!" Princess Cerllynda's command was answered by Mina's obedient nod. The grown woman took pen and paper from the table which was neatly stacked on top of it.

"This is my lady," said Mina, handing the brown paper along with the pen.

Princess Cerllynda took it from Mina's arms. He began to carve letter by letter which later became words and sentences until they became beautiful stanzas. Every now and then she was silent confused about what she should write, until finally he finished her writing, rolled up the paper and tied it with a ribbon. She also called a dove and tied the roll of paper at the bird's feet.

"Give this to Gressylia huh!" Princess Cerllynda ordered while gently stroking the bird's feathers and flying it into the air to meet Gressylia, according to the order from Princess Cerllynda.

The bird shot through the air, through the wind that blew and answered with a flock of other birds that it approached, through many trees so that he came to a man who was pensive at the edge of the lake, his gaze conveyed a sadness that was engulfing his heart.

The white dove perched on the arm of the man who was silent on the edge of the lake. The man smiled sadly when he saw a bird perched on his hand, he knew this bird, because this bird had come twice to bring him a letter.

"You're Princess Cerllynda's messenger, aren't you," he muttered as he gently stroked the bird's feathers and took the scroll from him. He started to slowly open it after letting the white dove fly again.

"Greetings Gressilia

Sorry, I can only give you this letter. I'd love to talk to you, but I can't do that.

I want to apologize for everything my father said to you. Really, I know that you will definitely be hurt by all the harsh words of father. Likewise with me, my heart felt very sick hearing my father's words for the first time. Gressylia, I apologize on behalf of my father.

It's all because of me forcing you to fight. Forgive me. I never thought so far. I don't think how you were when you met my father. Gress, please forgive me. I will take full responsibility for everything you get from me and my father. I promise I won't marry anyone but you. I just want you, I love you so much Gress.

I don't know what will happen to us tomorrow, you and the others will fight for me. I know, you are a great man, allow me to hope that you are the winner Gress. Allow me.

See you tomorrow Gress, I hope you reply to my letter, I miss you Gress. I want to cry beside you, cry over everything that has happened to us. I love you Gressylia.

Greetings Princess Cerllynda."

Gressylia froze after reading the short letter from Princess Cerllynda. His heart was indeed very broken and sad, but he never wanted to hear Princess Cerllynda blame herself for what had happened to Gressylia, nor did he want Princess Cerllynda to apologize for everything her father had done.

"You want me to reply to your letter, Princess?" Gressylia muttered while looking at the brown paper.

"Brother Gress? You're back? How about the princess?" asked Rana who approached Gressylia who was still sitting by the lake.

"Your brother will never deserve to be side by side with the Princess. Stay with me Rana, Rina. You are my strength, the only thing I have," said Gressylia who immediately received a warm hug from Rana and Rina's tiny arms, they understood very well what what was happening to his brother.

"Thank you for being there for me, Rana, Rina. I love you. Now I want to rest," Gressylia said while kissing the tops of her two sisters' heads and releasing their arms. He smiled a little and left his two younger siblings into his old hut.

He went into his room and looked for paper and pen, he was about to reply to Princess Cerllynda's letter. He began to carve letter by letter on the paper. Occasionally silent while thinking what he will write on the paper.

When she was done, Gressylia rolled it up and tied it with a red ribbon. He glanced at the paper in his hand. A moment later the paper disappeared from his hand.

Princess Cerllynda, who was still sitting cross-legged hugging her pillow, suddenly opened her eyes full of surprise when she saw the roll of paper that suddenly appeared in front of her. With surprise and curiosity, he began to slowly open the paper, which turned out to be a reply letter from Gressylia.
