Chapter 17 - 17. Little Hope

That night, in the darkness that enveloped the earth, a young man was silent in front of his house. He continued to stare at his dark surroundings. There was only a burning torch by the door of his little house. It was Gressylia, the young man looked very restless. He was thinking about the fate he would receive when tomorrow arrived.

The arrival of a dove that he recognized distracted him. With mixed feelings he took a piece of paper at the feet of the bird carrying the letter. He untied the red ribbon that tied the top scroll and began to slowly unwrap it.

"Greetings Gressilia.

Good night to you Gress. Tonight I am very restless. I just want to be quiet and talk to myself all the time to express the many things that are in my heart at night, to that very beautiful star and crescent moon.

I don't know what you're doing right now. Maybe we are both looking at the same sky with the same feeling.

Look up there Gress! In that very dark night sky. There's the star and the moon, bright and beautiful, you know? It seemed that when the night was not there they both felt very quiet. That's me, I am the pitch black night, and you are the star that adorns my night.

I'm really looking forward to Gress tomorrow. It felt like the night was long and slow. I want to fall in love with you again when I see how great you are that I fall in love with everything about you. I don't know what you're thinking right now. But, I'm the one who has put you in this kind of atmosphere, so I will also be responsible for everything.

Wish you always happy Gress. See you tomorrow, I love you Gressylia. I hope you reply to my letter.

Greetings from Princess Cerllynda."

Gressylia smiled faintly as he read the letter. The sentences are very beautiful, calming and pleasant.

"Should I answer this letter? You want to know what I'm doing and thinking. Everything is exactly what you think Princess Cerllynda," Gressylia said without the 'Princess' frills when referring to Princess Cerllynda.

Finally he decided to go inside and get a piece of paper and a pen. He wanted to reply to the princess's letter, in case he wanted to express his feelings which he had not yet expressed verbally. He himself did not know what would happen tomorrow, so he wanted to make good use of this time.

Gressylia took the pen and brown paper. He returned to the front of his house after catching a glimpse of his two brothers who were sleeping peacefully. He smiled a little and stroked them both.

He sat back in front of his house, staring at the dark lake that was not far from his house. The sky around the place was dimly lit by the moon. The sky is so beautiful tonight. He smiled faintly before starting to string the words he was about to give Princess Cerllynda.

Now he focuses on stringing words for his lover. Yes, he might call Princess Cerllynda his lover. If not a lover what? They already know each other's feelings, now they are fighting for their love.

After finishing writing. He now rolled up the paper and tied it with a red ribbon. He took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. Then the roll of paper immediately disappeared from its place.

Of course the paper disappeared away to its intended destination. Namely, Princess Cerllynda. Exactly, the roll of paper was on the small round table in front of Princess Cerllynda. The girl smiled happily, of course she knew that the letter was from Gressylia. Because recently Gressylia had replied to her letter in this way.

Princess Cerllynda began to untie the red ribbon that bound the paper. After that he opened the paper and began to read it slowly.

"Greetings Princess Cerllynda.

Good night to you too, Princess. I'm happy tonight that you gave me this letter. Also with your guess it's very true, right now I'm looking at the beautiful sky by the moon and stars. We are under the same sky. I think I want to tell you this Princess, as long as we are under the same sky, then nothing will be impossible for us to unite.

Also for the first time I want to tell you, that I love you very much. I will try my best to win tomorrow's fight. But, if I lose forgive me and accept our defeat. Don't punish yourself for this defeat. I don't want anything to happen to you, Princess. Thank you for fighting and loving me sincerely.

See you tomorrow. I hope everything will be fine.

Greetings Gressilia."

Princess Cerllynda smiled faintly, especially if it weren't for Gressylia's declaration that she loved him for the first time.

"Thanks Gress. At least I already know if you really love me. I'm so happy, I feel more at ease with this." She hugged the paper, as if he was hugging the lover he always longed to see.

Suddenly Princess Cerllynda discovers her past with a kind male friend. He is a prince of the kingdom of Gordor. However, unfortunately the empire collapsed one year ago. The entire royal family died. He reminisced about everything, his play with the prince until they were separated because Princess Cerllynda went to the academy and he didn't. The Prince of the Kingdom of Gondor did not want to study at the academy his father attended.

"If you were still alive, I'm sure I would fall in love with you. Gressylia has a similar nature to you, maybe that's what made me fall in love with him," Princess Cerllynda whispered as if she was talking to someone to tell her feelings for Gressylia.

The night was getting late, Princess Cerllynda decided to go into the room. The two maids had left him alone in the room. He lay down on the bed. His eyes were still reluctant to be brought to sleep, he was still awake with his mind wandering aimlessly. Tracing the past and trying to imagine a beautiful future together with Gressylia.

Slowly in her daydream she felt his eyes starting to get heavy. She began to be attacked by sleepiness when the night was almost gone. He fell asleep peacefully, his face showing the tiredness she had felt all this time.

"Mother?"

Princess Cerllynda whispered as she opened her eyes. She saw a beautiful woman she hadn't seen in a long time. It was his mother who died when she was 12 years old.

"Mother, don't go again! I really miss you, I really need you, Mom," cried Princess Cerllynda who was immediately hysterical and hugged the woman tightly. She kept whining asking her mother not to leave her anymore.

"Stay happy my daughter. Never be afraid to take a step. Mother is there for you, Mother is in your heart always," said the mother while kissing the top of Princess Cerllynda's head with love.

However, suddenly the woman's body melted and disappeared from Princess Cerllynda's arms. She again hysterically called the Mother, asking her to come back. She needed that hug, she wanted to tell him about his father, about Gressylia. There was so much she wanted to tell her.

"Mother! Don't leave me again!" cried Princess Cerllynda hysterically with tears streaming down her cheeks.
